I can’t imagine giving him up! If I had him in my home, I would get way too attached to send him to live somewhere else. He’s just such an adorable little sweetheart. I can’t wait to see his future puppies. I may even have to take one home with me after seeing this video lol
Great content, my husband and I are guardian parents to a wonderful standard poodle "parti" female. Gotta say it was tough to have her gone while she had her 10 puppies, but the time did go by pretty fast. We've really enjoyed being guardians , she's our 4th standard and just before she left to have her first litter, we got an 8 week old male standard poodle. Crazy town but so fun!

I love the 2 tone color of Oakley, beautiful puppy! Do you have any tips for potty training? We've been moving our puppy's crate to areas he would potty in hopes of him stopping but he potties back in his previous crate spot. We've tried positive reinforcement giving him a treat every time he potty outside. Thank you and subscribed

Thanks to you and 7 years of studying .. talking to two vets in my family that’s vets and researching .. I am going to start my breeding journey. I have three already.. I didn’t get them for that purpose but I have always wanted a pup from my boy Dood .. and people are always asking if I will have puppies… I have a GOLDENDOODLE and a SHEEPADOODLE… and a YORKIDOODLE .. and I think I will go for my first litter this year. I already have 13 people that asked me to pu them on the list and I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to breed😂😂😂😂 my cousin breeds Rottweilers and Pitt bulls and he takes amazing care of his babies … his set up is amazing… inside .. heated floors and a dog nanny when he isn’t home … and he has been a reputable breeder for 13 years … he puts clauses that his dogs cannot be fought and they have to be inside dogs and his wife does yearly calls on all of their birthdates … literally ALLLLL of their puppies and she has a database that she documents … he has 6 four girls and two boys .. he sd he never goes bast 6 because that’s the number that he knows he can give them the best care and time

Question: Do you guys buy and sell puppies or is it like adopting free types.
What does the contract for sending a puppy to a guardian home consist of. I want to make sure my keeper puppy goes to a good guardian home.
amazing. but free advice i guess, for your guardians.. not every dog will do well on the food that you like, so you should say start with this brand but if they show any problem you can switch, i got a guide dog and they use pro plan. i started with this food exactly the same as they use, but later like six month after i got her she was not being well on this food i switched her and everything was okay, regardless it is better to switch sometimes the flavor of the food or the brand for the dog body
If it came down to it we would make an exception but there are multiple different formulas and recipes by PPP that I feel like it would be very rare for one not to work!

So if you have females in guardian homes and you want to breed those females, do you bring the female to your home to labor or do you bring the sire to their home and they labor at their home?

Bailey, how long will you wait before you use Oakley as a stud? I've heard male dogs can be bred as early as 6 months but that just seems so crazy young to me!

Oakley is super adorable 🥰 also I am very curious, did you train him to eat his food slower? If so, do you have any tips? I currently have a 3 month old puppy and I’m kinda having a hard time training her not to scarf her food down 😅😅 could it also be the breed?
Trying using muffle Matt’s, she uses slow feeder bowls as needed . There’s also slow feeder balls you put the kibble in and the puppy has roll it around to get the food but those can be a bit messy. I like muffle Matt’s and slow feeder bowls

I do everything related to breeding so yes whelping!

She feeds Purina Pro Plan :) and looks like standard metal food bowls from a pet store.

No, doodles are not pure bred dogs so they are not registered with any of the big kennel clubs register.

I absolutely love how you run your program, quick question tho you have mentioned before the reason you feed Purina pro plan is because you have a lot of dogs which is fully understandable so why do you force the guardian homes to feed it as well, it’s not horrible but it does contain by products, byproduct soybean to increase protein,corn gluten,corn, and in general ingredients that are not the best. Again fully understand your perspective you have six dogs but why is it obligated by the family that might be able to afford a food such as logic or Orojen?
I think its because he'll be at her house a lot as she said she'll "baby sit" him when the guardian family has to be out of town for their children's sports etc so it'll be easier for him to be on pro plan then try keep him away from the other dogs and their food.
Yeah but out of the 365 days of the years he’ll be there what? 1 Month with her maybe 2 spread out through the year another food will benefit him more.
I'm a guardian home for a Bernedoodle who's breeder mama contracted us to feed Purina Pro Plan as well. I took issue with it at first. She follows a plan laid out by a reproductive veterinarian. He recommends and uses Purina Pro Plan in his breeding dogs so yeah... It's what I'm using. Honestly... My puppy has better poops, more compact and less smelly than my border collie who eats something else.
@@HotMessCarnivore42 it’s not too much about the poops like I said it’s not a horrible food just look it up on dog food advisor I’m just saying there are better foods that don’t have controversial ingredients, Purina sources a lot of its protein from ingredients other than meat and even the meat is still a by product. I don’t know if you guys are aware by products are basically what’s left after the prime cuts are removed, it can literally be the tongue,beak, feet just in general anything but actual meat Purina pro plan adult that has a golden in front even has an ingredient that says poultry by product that means they don’t even know if it’s a quail , turkey or what kind of bird it is , it can even be from diseased animals. It’s actually most of the time not animal that they use specifically for the dog food just one that is cheap and convenient. They just has a recall last year because their can food could contain pieces of plastic.Again not hating it’s just there are even options like Victor fish formula or their lamb meal or chicken meal that would be better options I just don’t see why if a guardian home might be able to give the puppy a better quality food they wouldn’t be allowed to. Or even raw there are brands that are pre made I’m have big dogs so I don’t but I do give it to my 13 year old yorkie mix she been in it for 10 years now it is mainly because she’s allergic to life and vomits everything other wise. My point is there are better foods.

How much are you feeding Oakley? Our puppy is 10 weeks old and we feed her 1/2 cup 3x day, is that enough?
We do 1/2 cup twice a day! I would follow whatever the breeder recommended!

She does everything to do with breeding and answered above. She does the whelping of the pups. Keeps them through until they go to their homes.
