Hi, just received and fitted the kit on my 67 plate 595 145ps. The car starts fine, we have a blue flashing light on the box, drives fine with no codes or issues but the boost remains the same at 0.8 bar as before in sport mode. Would this suggest a boost leak somewhere? Cheers Tom
Hi Tom, A blue flashing light is correct. Also the boost will display exactly the same as before if everything is working correctly. This is because the boost gauge doesn't display actual boost pressure, but just what the ECU believes it to be. If it is displaying stock boost pressure, that means you are achieving the /extra/ boost the box is requesting. If you were to plumb in a genuine boost gauge you would see the increase, but its not neccesary to do so. Both of these things are normal and are covered in the instructions.
I really fancy one of these for my 180 Comp, Not sure if I'd be confident of fitting it though. Witht the type of box for the Comp how long do you reckon install would take? aslo what is the tool called you use to pop off those awkward clips near the airbox?
Hi Pete. You can access the Boost sensor without removing the battery tray (and disconnecting the ECU). it is possible to just loosen the tray and get under it. We remove the tray in the video to show the boost connector. If you search for trim removal tool on Amazon or eBay, it will bring up a few options. The install looks more daunting than it actually is. It may take around 40 minutes all in. You can also call us or message and we could even do a video chat if you are struggling with the install.
I have a 2019 Abarth 500 in the US, I was looking to order one of your boxes. In California we only have 91 octane gas (petrol), does this pose an issue? Do I mention this on your website when I order? How long does it take to show up from the UK?
Hi Chris. You can use the unit with 92 octane, however you will need to keep on the default setting. You also may not achieve the advised results. Also, we cannot ship to California. We could ship to any other state and you could collect it from there or have someone send it to you. Delivery to America will take 1-2 weeks by airmail or 3-5 days by DHL Courier. Thanks
Hi We have had several Abarths on our Dyno. Here is a playlist of them all. th-cam.com/play/PLWcapCzEB4SXlqO5vkbXsWwB1lpSMduvm.html Do you have an Abarth? If so what is your stock CV and I can advise you the results from our unit. Thanks
@@BluesparkAutomotive Great job you were doing and it's good you got some new equipment to help with the production etc. It was interesting to see you working on the same model as my own. Keep up the videos and we will support your channel.
Hi, Take a look at our Abarth playlist here: th-cam.com/play/PLWcapCzEB4SXlqO5vkbXsWwB1lpSMduvm.html It will show you the multiple Abarth's we have dyno tested and the results we've had from each :)
For flip sake shoot the cameraman and explain clearly , and show the guys watching your channel clearer videos you are working at and speak clearly ....We .really would appreciate it cause we would like to be able to do our own work just like our experienced teacher!
Hi Jonathan. Thank you for your constructive feedback. This was one of our first install videos. We have since bought new equipment and improved the quality of the work. This is one we aim to shoot again once we are able to.
@@BluesparkAutomotive Thanks for your time again....I have a question regarding the sport button on dashboard....What affect will it have after the installation of The Blue Shark ? thank you ...Jonny
@@jonathanrpu No problem at all. The button will work just the same with the box installed as it will without. Only with more power on both settings. That means more fun on both settings.
The idea was to show you a real idea of what the fitting is like. Its a small car, with a cramped engine bay, it is fiddly. We could have just glossed over it and made it seem a much faster install than it really is, but that would be misleading.
