A Paladin with the criminal background and 1 level in Rogue. He gives the party Rogue a hard time, but not for stealing. He chastises the Rogue for not doing a better job of stealing from everyone in sight.

The best part of the kaggy bit is that kaggy reacted to that original video, paused, and went "I absolutely said that"

I like how everyone just forgets you can get around ZoT as long as you just don;t lie, you don;t HAVE to tell the truth. "...An affected creature is aware of the spell and can thus avoid answering questions to which it would normally respond with a lie. Such creatures can be evasive in its answers as long as it remains within the boundaries of the truth."

best use of it cast zone of true then start telling all sorts of hurtful lies about the person you are interrogating ( the caster is immune from the effects but next to noone knows that)
You can really mess with someone because they will belive everything you say

As a person who had to make a new character part way through a campaign (don't ask) and made a rogue, and literally two sessions in made the party's paladin have a breakdown/crisis of faith so bad she had to temporarily leave ON ACCIDENT this was great (btw, this is how I learned the important lesson of reading spell rules before using them)

you know it's funny because whenever I play a rogue I play a chaotic good one.
Story time: In one campaign we had a lawful good dragonborn paladin named Ruska, Meanwhile I played my chaotic good Teifling rogue named Alucard. About maybe three, four sessions in the paladin learns that I stole from someone. Pissed they hunted me down and asked, and I quote "WHO IN THE NINE HELLS DID YOU STEAL FROM, AND WHY!?" Me being under the control of circle of truth say. "I stole from some asshole noble who was taking money from the poor." This confused the shit out of the paladin because backstory reasons. "Who did you give it to?" She asked. "A starving family." I anwsered. "I don't keep any of the gold I steal...hence..." I point to my tattered cloak, clothes with SEVERAL patches, my rapier that had a wooden guard, and my crossbow that was literally staying together by a thread. Ruska unpinned me, undid the circle and she just sorta looked at me. From then on aside from one argument, and that one WAS major, we were good.

My rogue upon meeting the paladin via being thrown out of a shop for attempted but failes thievery and immediately groveling saying they did nothing wrong, this is discrimination, I'm Innocent! Passing the dice roll with a near nat 20 and getting the paladin on your side to then scold and kick down the door of the cruel shop was my experience. My rogue has somehow made themselves to be like a poor sweet Innocent misunderstood discriminated person while secretly causing choas around her and the paladin defends her.
Oh boy the day they find out.
