Agent 404. His background is military. His rank is unknown because his memory was wiped by an evil king who wanted him to retire. He was a great assassin, greatest of them all, in the dark world everyone is spooked by the mention of his name, but nobody knows how he looked like. So, finding out why, what happened, has happened won't be easy for you. You find yourself in a basement, where your memory was wiped, but Agent 404 doesn't know that, so he just has general amnesia towards whatever happened in his past. You are to escape the catacombs through a secret door that leads to a small and steep trail behind the palace, and kind of winds around it. It can't be seen from anywhere in the palace, so nobody in the palace knows about it's existence. It goes to the left. That's your way out. Below you, if you decide to not take the trail, is the forest. Just a regular forest. Jumping is not advised because it's around 5 seconds of flying down, and at that speed trees are not going to help. In your inventory you only have a couple of silver pieces(2), and a bunch of copper(15). You are dressed in very high quality clothing, which was probably very expensive. And that's about it. Your story is that the king feared you were too powerful of an ally and could turn on him, so he asked a great wizard of the land to wipe your memory, and they just left you there, waiting for you to wake up. A guard was supposed to check on you from time to time, but he fell asleep. Anything else, you can decide, but I'd go with an Elf, because they're sneaky and stuff. Probably, because you worked for an evil kind, you should be a Drow(elf sub-race). I'd recommend you have high Dex, Int, Wis and Cha. and whatever in Str, Con, because technically, the point of an assasin is deception, and sneakiness, and good tactics. Usually a good assassin would never engage in a fight of 1v1 or anything. But you know, this is totally up to you. PS: Your kill count is more than 500 different important people the evil king wanted you to assasinate. So, you're FEARED in the underworld. PPS: You know thieves Can't because you're a rogue and stuff. And you're proficient with thief's tools, and you do have them on you, because the guards thought that you wont be able to do much damage with a set of lockpicks and other tools. (maybe pick a couple of locks to get out or something?) PPPS: Your magic abilities are up to you, you wont be able to use them properly, because you forgot everything (even your name), but whenever you focus(DC 15 Wis Check) any high level spell can be used(randomly) (make a list of random spells and roll on it) (not wild magic) (Only your class' spells are allowed to be on the list) PPPPS: I'm jumping around with using "you" and "Agent 404" or "Him" But it all refers to one figure: "Agent 404" (I imagine Agent 404 male, but it can be any gender or whatever) (for the female version, nothing changes)
It's the final boss - The Party: Do you really need that much dice? Me, the DM, who has 15 sets of dice at my disposal: Hey, can I borrow 5 more D6's, and make constitution saving throws
Lol my bards are not seducers, they believe in getting the job done. Even if it means breaking a wand in the villains hand at point blank range. And names are my curse towards the others.
I made two bards that don't seduce NPCs; One is shy Entertainer Brad/Druid who can charm NPCs into being friends with her and/or the party, the other is a Veteran Bard/Ranger who's not interested in finding a romantic partner and is more than likely to be the party's mother figure.
I've got a bard who also doesn't seduce, she plays on the frontlines with the fighters/barbarians, hitting things with her longsword and granting the odd bardic inspiration die here and there, and then she spends most of her slots on healing spells and rarely uses an attack spell, but she is quite good at getting good prices from merchants and encouraging people to listen to her without seduction.
The rogue loudly breaking in is basically how my rogue character does things because I didn't really know how I should arrange my stats as a rogue when I made the character. My two lowest stats are Dexterity (9) and Charisma (11). My highest stat is Strength (16). As you might assume, trying to do anything even remotely rogueish most often fails miserably : /

You're not the only one worried about playing wizards. Just to try my hands at each of the classes, I have made 13 characters, and since I know just how squishy wizards are, I made sure my constitution was up to snuff with my intelligence (mainly for the concentration for some of the spell casting, but still dying is bad), chose the loxodon for my race for better AC with his natural armor, and to be better at keeping myself (and my teammates) alive, I would choose the school of abjuration for the arcane tradition.

I find 1:48 really funny because in one of the campaigns I'm in, the bard gets, like, 67% of the killing blows. The other 33% is done by the rogue. Our cleric also used to get quite a few before he died.

If you have a Bard problem, it's simple. Creatures are immune to charm effects. Even if they don't normally have charm immunity, you give it to them if it's a super important fight that doesn't need to be derailed by them. :D
Me and my friends did a one shot campaign and adopted an npc named Sebastian, which we pronounced sea bass chan. Of course this was after throwing our goblin at him from across the canyon, dropping him off the side of the canyon causing 3 ribs to break, drugging him, and tying him up outside all night.

8:23 I learned to not give characters backstories after I came up with an extremely elaborate backstory for my first character and getting attached to the backstory only to get to the first session where I find out the campaign starts with explaining how your character died. THAT WAS THE ONE DETAIL I FELT SAFE ASSUMING I WOULD NOT NEED. I AM TERRIBLE AT IMPROVISING AND MY IMPROVISED STORY COMPLETELY CHANGED THE CHARACTER. I planned to have the character's personality be similar to Aaron Burr (the Hamilton depiction), very cautious and not trusting and keeping their plans close to their chest. After I decided that my character died because he got drunk and tried to light a sword on fire (Burr actually tried to light a gun on fire, then for some reason he decided to document it in his journal) and the character was a warlock who acted like a stereotypical bard, can't keep their clothes on. THE CHARACTER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BURR BUT ENDED UP AS ALEXANDER "from flying by the seat of his pants to can't keep his dick in his pants" HAMILTON.

Wizards use a d6 for health so provided they rolled really well and didn’t use constitution for a dump stat, the most health they can have at lvl 1 is either 10 or 11. Compared to clerics who use a d8 and they can easily see 12 or 13 hp. Clerics can also have medium and heavy armor depending on your subclass.

8:23 I learned to not give characters backstories after I came up with an extremely elaborate backstory for my first character and getting attached to the backstory only to get to the first session where I find out the campaign starts with explaining how your character died. THAT WAS THE ONE DETAIL I FELT SAFE ASSUMING I WOULD NOT NEED. I AM TERRIBLE AT IMPROVISING AND MY IMPROVISED STORY COMPLETELY CHANGED THE CHARACTER. I planned to have the character's personality be similar to Aaron Burr (the Hamilton depiction), very cautious and not trusting and keeping their plans close to their chest. After I decided that my character died because he got drunk and tried to light a sword on fire (Burr actually tried to light a gun on fire, then for some reason he decided to document it in his journal) and the character was a warlock who acted like a stereotypical bard, can't keep their clothes on. THE CHARACTER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BURR BUT ENDED UP AS ALEXANDER "from flying by the seat of his pants to can't keep his dick in his pants" HAMILTON.

The person purposefully graffitied the building to either have it be pressure washed or fully painted because the building looked bad only partially painted.

Later, when I, a Barbarian, went to hit him, the DM says "He parries the attack" and I'm just like "OH GOD OH FUCK OH NO" and the DM is just like "Oh no he's not gonna counter strike, he doesn't think you're worth the effort" And then the whole party just fucking smokes him.

Why do people make jokes about wizards having 8 hp to start with when so do clerics
Wizards use a d6 for health so provided they rolled really well and didn’t use constitution for a dump stat, the most health they can have at lvl 1 is either 10 or 11. Compared to clerics who use a d8 and they can easily see 12 or 13 hp. Clerics can also have medium and heavy armor depending on your subclass.
