Some really amazing work. This video popped up just in time as my brother is wanting a shelf system building around his door to display his collectables
Liked and subscribed nice work. Recommending the cordless vacuum I have a different battery platform but the Dewalt version works pretty well I hear. I use mine at the drywall penetration to help keep the mess down.
Definitely would be handy to know how to make that hexagon jig. I know myself I spent countless hours making a massive honeycomb structure for mead storage and went about it a completely different way and I am always looking for alternative methods. Thanks.
Very Nice! Instead of the individual boxes, have you thought about building it with only 1 board edge on each box instead of 2? That would look slick too!
I've seen very mixed opinions on trusting angle gauges for consistent miters like this, especially cutting such a crazy number of pieces. Would it make sense to build a little 60° sled and just keep the blade square? Seems like it might be a safer bet, especially for those of us with budget garage shoptools... Might also make a nice companion to the hexagon jig :)
The build turned out pretty awesome to say the very least. I'm curious to know how much weight is on the wall not including the mugs/cups that are going to be sitting on the shelves. As for a video of making the jig, why the heck not as it's alway's good to know how it's done!!!. As always buddy 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.
I’m not quite sure, I’d say over 75lbs but less than 130lbs. Each on of the wall anchors has a shear strength of about 150lbs and a Tensile of 80lbs. That being said, 8 cleats, 2 anchors per cleat, as well as hitting two studs, I have no concerns over the weight of this piece!
Very good work. But when cutting flat parts on the table saw, I would turn the fence to the flat side. This means you don't have to reach from above and you have more space for your hands.
Reaching over the blade is a big no no for sure. I know I do this and it has cause me problems in the past. I don’t understand fence to the flat side though? What do you mean?
@@buildingwithbobby Release the fence Spin it ninety degrees to the left, and turn into the surface position. My English is too bad to explain better. Sorry
I understand now thank you! Yes flipping it down would make for a shorter fence that you don’t have to go over. I never thought of that, I like it thank you for the advice!
Such high quality content from a small channel - definitely one to watch. Great project, my astute skills of observation can tell your client really loved it 🤣
Quite literally if I am physically doing an activity like using tools to make something, I always make sound effects. I always thought it was weird when people don't
New woodworking channel for me to watch. No one is uploading much these days. I enjoyed your video. Please don’t be complacent using the table saw that’s how accidents happen.

@@buildingwithbobby buddy, I wanted to know how much the material cost, what type of wood, what kind of oil, and how much your finished product cost Thank you
@@belyaevjob all of that info you can find in the description of this video. I got the wood for FREE (video on that coming soon). Every project is custom so is the price. I charged close to 2k for this build!

Aww, your client's reaction was so sweet. Those shelves will be a great way to show off their mug collection!

@@buildingwithbobby And we didn't even get to see any pictures of it! 😭
Ohhh sweet honey combo shelves. Those are some fun angles. Great job Bobby.
Thank you so much and super happy with how these came out too! 🙌🏻🙏🏻
I would love to see how that hexagon jig is made! I am currently building these honeycomb shelves as well.
Building it this weekend so video coming soon!
Yes. A build video on the jig would be nice
I plan on making that very soon 🙏
Really enjoyed taking time to show the install process. Like the idea of jig to take to wall.👌🏽
That’s great! The jig for the wall saves so much time on the install day 🙌🏻

That's cool. I cant say I've ever seen honeycomb shaped storage for mead before. Will defiantly put the hexagon jig on my to build list!
@@buildingwithbobbyIt was a pretty rad project. Looking forward to the video man.

Thank you and hexagon jig video coming soon then! 🙌🏻🙏🏻
Very good job! You got me with your very interesting video 👌🏻
Thank you thank you 🙏
Seems easy enough to figure out, but I absolutely would like to see the hexagon jig.
Coming soon then! 👍

Thank you and that’s an idea! 🙏🏻
Random but looking at your shop you need to build yourself a nice mitre saw station and film it. I have a feeling it’d be unique
Funny you say that because Ill be moving into a new shop soon and was planning on doing just that 🙏🏻
Love this, nice build! Would love to see the jig build! Also, just subscribed!
Thank you and it’s definitely on my build/film list 🙌🏻🙏🏻 Welcome! 🎉

Good suggestion. I'll see if I can come up with a sled that just cuts 60° hexagon shapes!
