I just subscribed to your channel. As a 51 year-old mother with a 22 year-old daughter, I was just so motivated by your cleaning videos. I suffer from depression and anxiety and am just coming out of a serious episode. My house right now is a depression house as my family had been focused on supporting me and my husband is building a new business. Both my husband and daughter have ADHD and struggle with executive function, as do I because of my poor mental health. I am so glad to have found your channel, and so amazed by your mature thought, your kindness, and your incredible attitude toward life. I will be tuning in regularly- thank you so much for your inspiring videos!

I'm right there with you, Tracy! I'm 65, lifelong depression, with several long depressive episodes. I've recently realized that I have some executive function issues, which make it very difficult for me to initiate tasks and to keep things neat.
      Best wishes!

Postpartum depression and anxiety is no joke. I feel like as a society, women frequently feel alone in their suffering because new mothers are "supposed" to be joyful and happy and in love. There's also so much fear about being a "bad mother", but unfortunately, so many of us feel so much stress that can sometimes be dismissed but is very serious and real.

I thought it might be fun to take a photo of the fridge each time you go to clean it. You could make a little photo album of the art over the years 😊

Remi, I was like you when I was younger. Now I am old and tidy. The habits you have to force yourself to do now will eventually become things you do with out even thinking. You are right - happiness is a decision not something you get eventually. “If you are not happy in the here and now, you will never be happy in the if and when.” Best wishes from the old lady in Alberta, Canada.

Great video. You are such a lovely soul. I learnt a really good rubbish bin hack recently. I leave a bunch of bags at the bottom of the bin so it can be replaced a soon as the full one is removed. Stay safe & well!!

Hi love, just a tiny tip for the dog’s crate. I have 2 dogs that are inside most the time and they too have their own crates they sleep in at night. It does get hairy fast! However, because of that same rust issue, I now put small rugs (same size as the crate), just under them to save my floors.

I discovered you about a month ago through TH-cam Shorts. This channel has helped me so much. I have been "messy" my whole life. I can clean someone else's home without issue. But when I come home and see my own mess I feel overwhelmed and completely drained. Your videos have been just what I have needed. I recently tried timing myself cleaning in each area of my home like you did in one of your videos and it was amazing how much I was able to do in 3hrs. Thank you so much for your transparency and attitude of gratitude. Thank you for helping me feel that I am not alone in this struggle. And please continue your, as you call them "ramblings" and "rants", because it is during these times that you say the most profound and relatable things.

Try soaking some cloth with vinegar and let them sit on the floor for a little while. The vinegar will break down the rust. Also light blue walls will show stains a lot more. Try a medium blue 💙. Love your honesty and your ability to show yourself. I am so happy to have found someone who understands the pressure of juggling all the hats a Mum needs to wear. ❤❤

Hi, only subscribed today and loving the videos. I love the fridge, I’m a reception teacher and it’s so lovely to see children mark making and being creative. If you did want to protect the fridge a little more though, you can buy sticky back white board paper quite cheaply, sticks on and blends in with the fridge but you then can peel it off and replace when it gets too stained. Thank you for the videos though, very reassuring and motivating! 😊

This video was so comforting to watch. You sound like such a kind and wonderful person to be around, I just know your kids are going to be proud of the community you're building and the positivity you're spreading. I'm 20, not planning to get pregnant any time soon but your talk about being a mom and how it's changed your view on the law of attraction really stuck with me. You've encouraged me to have a more positive mindset!

I have incredibly bad health anxiety about my parents, so I really understand you. When a parent is unwell it truly feels like the end of the world, my brain stops working properly, I can't sleep or rest or switch off the panic. This is one of the reasons I decided not to have children, I knew I would be the same with them and can't cope. The second big reason I decided not to have kids is hyperemesis!! I have a phobia of vomiting. So to me you really are a hero for braving these things. Part of me thinks that if I had seen other people talk about this when I was younger, I would have realised I am not alone and life is possible on the other side. Thank you for talking about these things.

I raised my 4 children and yet now find myself with full custody of my now 4 year old ASD grandson. I was always practically raising him doing everything and yet I still kidded myself that one day my daughter was going to get it altogether. In the end she almost got him killed before I had to just completely take him away! I had so many plans for my “golden years”, lol. I was so looking forward to turning that page into a new chapter beyond raising children and yet….here I am. I feel so blessed to have my grandson. He is one of my greatest joys in life. Still, I just get so overwhelmed and anxious of the future and what it holds. Motherhood is never easy and it never ends. It truly does require maintaining a positive mindset thru the good and the bad ❤

Great cleaning Remi. I have 7 kids and twins included in that, all are 20 years old and over now, each pregnancy was so different the 4th one was the easiest, in hospital by 10 am in labour and home by 5.30. The 7th was the hardest he had to have a spine op when he was 2 days old, that was the hardest thing I have ever gone through, he was in hospital for 3 weeks after as he kept getting infections. It was really bad. Xx

An aside, when the stick-on white board becomes stained, I wash it with window cleaner and it whitens right up. Not sure if it would work on the fridge though. A cheaper alternative would be a roll of white paper. You can add to walls as well for them to "art" on.

For the whiteboard marker on the fridge, I have two suggestions that might help: those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers (or similar) or some hand sanitizer. The alcohol in the sanitizer should break down the ink, even in the grooves and what not of the fridge. If you put a bunch on a paper towel and just let it sit on the stain for a bit, it *should* help. If not, like you said, it's just a fridge, and the stains are little reminders of your munchkin having fun. ^.^

Love your attitude of gratitude. I’m in my 50’s & my boys all 20 plus. My house is now spotless & I miss the mess of family life. Your videos are a tonic. Thankyou for sharing your home with us. Can’t beat a bit of banter.🤗😁xx

For the whiteboard pen on the fridge try hand sanitizer . It even got Sharpie indelible off mine(don’t ask).

Great job. Live watching good down to earth moms cleaning. No gorgeous homes, no chandeliers, no cleaning with their perfect nails and hair done, houses are already clean before they even start!!! Nope not for me. You are a genuine hard working mother with pups. You did a great job and you have the cutest home!!!

I used to be suicidal about 6 years ago. The one thing that helped was blasting my favorite band’s music and imagining what it would be like to see them in person. Two months ago I was lucky enough to buy 2 of 12 VIP passes to not only watch from back stage and meet the members, but to be a part of the show for one song. The one song was my favorite six years ago (still is). The band is called “In this Moment”. I told the lead singer (through some tears) how much her music saved me, and she grabbed my hand to tell me how lucky she felt to be a part of my survival. Truly healing. Mindset is everything.

I'm the mother of an almost 5 year old and my anxiety around any virus, bug etc has been incredibly bad. Before I got on medication for it, I would literally become so ill myself from the anxiety that I would become completely dysfunctional well past she would even be recovered from the illness. Now I still feel it but I can be functional and make it through. I really appreciate you talking openly about it because I have felt really isolated surrounding this issue. Thanks Remi

Just subscribed😊 LOVED hearing you chat whilst you cleaned rather than cleaning videos with loud music over the top. You have a great attitude. I have life altering anxiety (health anxiety just one part of it) and it’s refreshing to hear others with such a sound attitude sharing and chatting. Very inspiring. Have a great day x

Remi I need to be a sprite too cause being home 24/7 now it's like the walls don't change and most weekends I say I can't remember what I did all week. I'm disabled but I know I can do better than I do but the motivation just isn't there. I don't get too stuck in tv but utube is my go to and my kindle fire cause I love stories. Wanted to be a writer but no support and basically being disabled and not getting out i feel closed in. The pandemic was so scary for my I felt like not going out again. But now that I've found your channel and Dr pimple popper, my 600pound life. Yes sometimes it's a crazy few days of binge watching doing nothing else. I've gotten back into baking so I'm getting up and into something. Love you Remi ❤

First of all - I find your voice and your talks really calming, motivating, and real. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!! Postpartum depression and anxiety, and medical trauma/health worries are all such a beast!!
Thanks for making me feel less alone!! It's rough!! Anyway I just discovered your channel and thoroughly enjoy it lol and I love you calling out the silly comments people leave nitpicking and that. People will literally comment the silliest things sometimes 🙄 and all we can do is laugh them off cause it can be so ridiculous 😂
Lastly - I don't know how you clean your walls, but my mom gave me a tip of using my mop to clean the walls and I've never looked back since!!! It has SAVED my back and knees - which I've had a lot of problems with since having a baby. Just thought I'd share the tip with you cause it helped me tremendously - and it saved me a lot more time (didn't have to use a step ladder cause the mop reached all the way up high, have better scrubbing power, etc). But I did notice you might have to change the water a few times because if the water is dirty, it will leave streaks on the wall and it'll dry like that. So once it's brownish, change your water :)
Can't wait to watch more videos!! Thanks for being you ❤

New sub here. I smiled softly at the mention of being a little sprite living in the forest somewhere. LOL I, too, was always one for the fantastical stories of legend and lore and something always made me wish to be a little sprite with no worries in the world. Then I grew up and adulthood came about. I had children and realized they are depending on me for everything. I had to change. Had to make money and keep a home, maintain things, provide a nice warm bed, hot food and clean clothes. I had to do it all but seeing their little faces smile up at me before their sweet hugs was enough to keep me going. Same things, wanting your children to look at their mother with love and pride. It's hard to accomplish but the more you trust in the heart of family, the easier it gets for some things. Yet, I would still read about little sprites in the forest and close my eyes to envision me in that way. It's ok to imagine...imagination is the spice of life.
I was thinking about the fridge? Get your child and easel or one of those big reams of drawing paper. My mother always said, what your child loves when they are small is what they will enjoy as a young adult. He loves to draw so give them the opportunity to thrive at such a young age. Doing things they love so young gives them an edge over others who do the same thing as a teen ager or in college. It's something they were born to do and have been practicing for all their lives. So now I have to deep clean my kitchen, and, honestly, it's why I watched this video. I needed some inspiration and you were perfect for me to find. Now you're stuck with me.
