Remi, I just value your insights in the management of "things". Years ago there was excellent council that children needed no more toys than double their age - so a two year old only needs 4 toy options on any given day. I was great at rotating toys - and you are correct - it is much more healthy for their brain development. You are an encouragement to so many!

I'm loving to watch (Remi Clog, obviously) a newish channel called 'Peeling away the clutter' - the home owner Mira is sorting her home out one small area at a time, and she does lovely voice overs talking through her challenges and thought processes as she deals with her mental health and the reasons she finds it hard to let go of things and how she's managed to accumulate so much over the years. She's probably part of the neurodivergent tribe but I don't think I've heard her mention it. She's the sweetest and so strong! We're all rooting for her.

I started two days ago. I don’t hoarde things, I keep it simple. Kitchen, porch, decluttered and cleaned. Today is the bathroom. Over a box to throw or give away. Keep in mind, if I don’t use it, it’s gone, if I get something new, something else goes. I know my closet is at a minimum so keeping that in mind, my bedroom is just walls. many years ago , when my 3 children were little I also ran a family daycare in my home. There were lots of toys available for them , but sometimes it became too many. When you mentioned rotating toys it reminded me that I used a system we called Sending toys on vacation. I used a box decorated with a beach look. When it seemed the children had lost interest in their current toys I would bring out the box. First I would have them pull out the toys from the box. Next they easily gave up their "old" toys for vacation because they were anxious to play with their returned toys. It was fun and gave them a sense of control over which toys they had. keep up the good work. you are a very thoughtful mother.
Seeing you clean is such a lesson for me. I’ve always gotten overwhelmed with the “what to keep/what to toss” thingy. Why are inanimate objects so emotionally triggering? Now, I have a traumatic brain injury and having to figure out how to counteract the overwhelming pain is even more traumatic and triggers my TBI symptoms. But your tips and tricks help a lot. Thank you, Remi, for doing this. ❤
It's crazy to me how alike our brains seem, even an ocean away. I've often wondered what my life would be like if I could better harness my brain's capabilities, so the bit about needing to work with the brain we've got really resonated. My house was a mess, like your mess, lol. I've known they were coming for a couple of weeks but of course I waited till the last minute so that the impending visit would give me motivation ...anyway I woke up and it was nine and he was coming at 3:00 and I searched for a video with the words, "Clean with me", l ol and you popped up ! I haven't cleaned like that in 20yrs😢😅 and I did it! Remi, you have had such a positive effect on so many lives. My mom, myself, and my partner are all disabled and neurodivergent, and at least 2 of us have trauma surrounding cleaning and keeping a clean space. Your videos help my mom and I so much when it comes to cleaning up our homes and feeling good about it when we have the energy instead of feeling ashamed of the mess.
Just made a deep clean list for me to do this week! Two full days. I’ll wash duvets and mattress protectors too. Curtains I do in the summer when I can line dry easily. You’ve inspired me! I think a reset is exactly what I need at the moment! 😊

Aurikatarina is one of my favourite cleaning channels too. I also love living with Cambriea, get it done with Gabbi and Midwest magic cleaning. Those channels do free cleans too, I love the idea of helping others which is how I found you when you did your dad's kitchen 💕 another channel I love is fearfully created. Merina and Shane are just lovely and have recently moved home so are doing lots of diy at the minute.
That littlre waffle iron is adorable. Nice waffles. I am glad you showed the grime of microwave, so realistic and more satisfying to watch get cleaned than one with a couple of streaks in it. I am so glad you got new drawers. I struggle for storage and have seen those kinds of drawers but the floppiness of the canvas would drive me nuts so I put up with folded items on the top of my couch and other bed etc. I watched Midwest Magiic the other day, he makes me cry too. Just love your attitude about life and about cleaning! I’m a cleaner as well. If it’s ok couple of tips… I put my blinds in my tub. Fast and easy. I tie a couple loops of ribbon, rope, around shower rod. Dip blind in scrub rinse and hang up in loops give it a quick wipe and back in the window it goes. Also, in my cleaning arsenal I keep an old toothbrush and putty scraper. Thanks for all you do! ❤

Thank you for showing this Remi; I am not on Tiktok so I would have missed it otherwise! Quick laundry suggestion: give each person their own laundry basket, in their own room, instead of a large shared hamper in the hallway. That way you can do one load for one person at a time, and return that clean load to their room. Then a different person's load on a different day, and return it clean to their room. That would keep the scary death pile from ever accumulating in the first place. 😂

✍Hello Dear... Yes, I'm watching you at bedtime on my tablet. I save my favorite TH-cam videos for my evening entertainment instead of watching TV. I also watch a young man from Scotland whose called the "Hoof GP" he trims cow's hooves.His videos are only about 8-10 minutes but could watch him much longer. As you said it helps the itch in my brain and so does your cleaning videos. I'm not a viewer of Instagram or TikTok just TH-cam and FB. So some I've been subscribed to for 6-7 years. I used to take my blinds down and wash them in the tub but now that they're more dusty than dirty I purchased a pair of blind cleaning gloves from Amazon and they're supposed to arrive tomorrow Feb.1 I saw them used on another cleaning channel that a young woman was using. Hi Remi, I feel you when it comes to overwhelm. I do this myself. I keep it a habit to every month tackle something to organize or clean out. Or else it is crying in the corner for me. But i noticed that your livingroom is small just like mine. We made it our priority to tacklr that. Because how you displayed your sofa, tv and such makes it even more tiny. I went to a second hand store and bought a small l shaped sofa that fit the corner. The tv we hang on the wall so we can pull it out and then pull it back on the wall. We had shelves on the wall with nice second hand baskets for storage for the kids. So the ground stayed empty for them to play on. We tackled the whole house one month at a time to make sure storage is up against thr walls instead on the ground. It seriously didnt cost us a lot. We had everything second hand except for the shelves and the brace thingy for the tv. It leaves your space big. Maybe it will help you.

Fantastic clean up! I had to get a new microwave last year and now I wipe it out when I do dishes and wipe kitchen counters. Stays clean. A new habit I picked up last year along with cleaning my sink. The rest of the house can become a disaster but oh well, I'm better at some things. 😃

many years ago , when my 3 children were little I also ran a family daycare in my home. There were lots of toys available for them , but sometimes it became too many. When you mentioned rotating toys it reminded me that I used a system we called Sending toys on vacation. I used a box decorated with a beach look. When it seemed the children had lost interest in their current toys I would bring out the box. First I would have them pull out the toys from the box. Next they easily gave up their "old" toys for vacation because they were anxious to play with their returned toys. It was fun and gave them a sense of control over which toys they had. keep up the good work. you are a very thoughtful mother.
Seeing you clean is such a lesson for me. I’ve always gotten overwhelmed with the “what to keep/what to toss” thingy. Why are inanimate objects so emotionally triggering? Now, I have a traumatic brain injury and having to figure out how to counteract the overwhelming pain is even more traumatic and triggers my TBI symptoms. But your tips and tricks help a lot. Thank you, Remi, for doing this. ❤
It's crazy to me how alike our brains seem, even an ocean away. I've often wondered what my life would be like if I could better harness my brain's capabilities, so the bit about needing to work with the brain we've got really resonated. My mom, myself, and my partner are all disabled and neurodivergent, and at least 2 of us have trauma surrounding cleaning and keeping a clean space. Aurikatarina is one of my favourite cleaning channels too. I also love living with Cambriea, get it done with Gabbi and Midwest magic cleaning. Those channels do free cleans too, I love the idea of helping others which is how I found you when you did your dad's kitchen 💕 another channel I love is fearfully created. Merina and Shane are just lovely and have recently moved home so are doing lots of diy at the minute.
That littlre waffle iron is adorable. Nice waffles. I am glad you showed the grime of microwave, so realistic and more satisfying to watch get cleaned than one with a couple of streaks in it. I am so glad you got new drawers. I struggle for storage and have seen those kinds of drawers but the floppiness of the canvas would drive me nuts so I put up with folded items on the top of my couch and other bed etc. I watched Midwest Magiic the other day, he makes me cry too. I put my blinds in my tub. Fast and easy. I tie a couple loops of ribbon, rope, around shower rod. Dip blind in scrub rinse and hang up in loops give it a quick wipe and back in the window it goes. Also, in my cleaning arsenal I keep an old toothbrush and putty scraper.

Thank you for showing this Remi; I am not on Tiktok so I would have missed it otherwise! Quick laundry suggestion: give each person their own laundry basket, in their own room, instead of a large shared hamper in the hallway. That way you can do one load for one person at a time, and return that clean load to their room. Then a different person's load on a different day, and return it clean to their room. That would keep the scary death pile from ever accumulating in the first place. 😂

✍Hello Dear... Yes, I'm watching you at bedtime on my tablet. I save my favorite TH-cam videos for my evening entertainment instead of watching TV. I also watch a young man from Scotland whose called the "Hoof GP" he trims cow's hooves.His videos are only about 8-10 minutes but could watch him much longer. As you said it helps the itch in my brain and so does your cleaning videos. I'm not a viewer of Instagram or TikTok just TH-cam and FB. So some I've been subscribed to for 6-7 years. I used to take my blinds down and wash them in the tub but now that they're more dusty than dirty I purchased a pair of blind cleaning gloves from Amazon and they're supposed to arrive tomorrow Feb.1 I saw them used on another cleaning channel that a young woman was using. @@dgall051 Yes I do that. Then I hold them up, or have somebody else hold them up, and wash them with a soapy cloth, rinse with the hand held shower head.

Hi Remi, I feel you when it comes to overwhelm. I do this myself. I keep it a habit to every month tackle something to organize or clean out. Or else it is crying in the corner for me. But i noticed that your livingroom is small just like mine. We made it our priority to tacklr that. Because how you displayed your sofa, tv and such makes it even more tiny. I went to a second hand store and bought a small l shaped sofa that fit the corner. The tv we hang on the wall so we can pull it out and then pull it back on the wall. We had shelves on the wall with nice second hand baskets for storage for the kids. So the ground stayed empty for them to play on. We tackled the whole house one month at a time to make sure storage is up against thr walls instead on the ground. It seriously didnt cost us a lot. We had everything second hand except for the shelves and the brace thingy for the tv. It leaves your space big. Maybe it will help you.

Fantastic clean up! I had to get a new microwave last year and now I wipe it out when I do dishes and wipe kitchen counters. Stays clean. A new habit I picked up last year along with cleaning my sink. The rest of the house can become a disaster but oh well, I'm better at some things. 😃
