There are soo many good korean dramas to watch. They arent raunchy like american shows . And no violence in most of them and no bad language they are all I watch
Yes!!! Completely agree. They are so refreshing to watch in terms of no over sexualization, just great storylines and amazing production value. It's hard to switch back to western shows now that I've gotten so used to the way Kdramas are.
I would say that some of them produce toxic relationships. In thr sense that they have very possessive relationship and there is a lot of overstepping in boundaries. You can search this more if you want.

I think the Office feels very watchable to many because all of those sexual sins or acts that are not christlike in the show were always shown as bad things, they werent actually glorified as good things. Like cheating in the show, they framed it AS a bad thing. Edit: just to add a bit more-- when characters do bad, they do have bad consequences. this makes it clear to the audience that the writers wrote those actions as bad/wrong things. Makes you feel a little more at peace knowing at least the sinful actions get consequences and arent just being celebrated. :)
I think we shouldn't fill our soul with stuff that says things like that commonly we shouldn't fill are heart with these things just be careful but I wouldn't recommend because I ask myself if Jesus walked in would he approve of me watching this?
When Calls the Heart on Hallmark Channel & Boy Meets World on Disney + are two of my absolute favorites!!! When Calls the Heart's script writers are Christians and the themes overall are very God-honoring. It focuses on a big city teacher in 1910 moving to teach in a frontier town. If you love romance, this is definitely a good one! Boy Meets World has such a healthy emphasis on family and the importance of good morals. It focuses on a boy growing up in the 90s from elementary to college and the different real life challenges he faces from racism to poverty to relationships. Such good heart and makes me very emotional haha
Highly recommend Little House on the Prairie and Highway to Heaven! Both good wholesome shows with Christian principles. I watch them everyday and they never get old. The writing is SO good.
I grew up on the books of little house on the prairie, and ive skipped through season 6-9 of the show and there are some weird episodes..and I find with these types of shows another one is dr quinn medicine woman, they tend to just project the themes of the time they were made onto the time period that its supposed to be in. Like one episode of LHOTP a girl gets assaulted and gets pregnant or albert gets into drugs..season 9 also didnt really make sense On the other hand I really like highway to heaven
I LOVE LITTLE HOUSE! Other shows like The Waltons, The Brady Bunch, and Full House are good also lol! But those are just some of the older shows I like to watch when they are on!
I recommend K-dramas(korean dramas) They are soo good. They are not a lot of sexual stuff. Here are some: She was pretty, Hi bye mama, extraordinary you, hwarang, Strong woman bong soon(this is one of the best serie in Soutk korea), my first first love, Dr. Romantic, its okay to not be okay, crash landing on you, weightlifting kim bok joo, itaewon class
I was convicted by Gilmore Girls. I watched the whole thing and the reboot a few years back and I loved it. Lately I've tried watching episodes again and found some very problematic things and topics.
Yes pls elaborate! I started watching it and really loved it but stopped watching cuz I get a little 🤨🥴 after awhile and I can’t remember why 😭 I am tempted to go back and see why but don’t want to be watching it if I shouldn’t be

Emily was not perfect (I mean, who is?) but she was always looking for the best for her daughter and granddaughter but she was always treated disrespectfully and pinned as some sort of villain. Rory was made out to be this humble and perfect girl, and towards the beginning of the series, she was, but after a while she was just as entitled (though she always played the victim and "poor" card) as the people she made fun of while getting the same perks as them and being able to go to her rich grandparents when she wanted. Then there's the fact that Rory started acting out in a very bratty and unmoral way, never showing some sort of remorse, and thinking she was right for doing them because it felt good. This, for me, is not a very good example especially as a christian girl. And like I said, for a time it was my favorite series but as I've grown in my walk with the Lord, every time I try watching an episode, it doesn't sit well with me. AHHH I love Chuck , there will never be another show like it . Also Zachary Levi yes !!! I've been watching it slowly ( just because I love it so much I don't want it to end )and Im just starting the fourth season . Now I'm scared to watch the last season . 😭😭
My rule of thumb with TV programs is that any show Common Sense Media gives a 15+ rating or under to is A-OK, a 16+ or 17+ is judgment call but I kind of just need to make sure I can handle it, and an 18+ is a HARD PASS (looking at you, shows like Game of Thrones, Euphoria, etc.). So yeah, I always make sure I read the reviews of the shows on CSM and also the Christian website Plugged In. Common Sense Media and Plugged In are so insightful, especially Plugged In. This line in the sand works for me pretty well as a conscious adult.
the chosen is a WONDERFUL show to watch! season two comes out on Easter Sunday and I cannot wait. It's about the life and ministry of Jesus, but it's not cheesy at ALL! i also really appreciate that the show has biblical "fact-checkers" and people who have deeply studied theology, so they try to make it as accurate as possible! its definitely a favorite my family and I watch together!
I needed this! Gilmore Girls is one of my top 3 favorite shows! (A more descriptive about what Gilmore girls is about without spoilers for anyone whos looking to watch the show) Lorelai Gilmore you could say was a "wild child" her parents were very rich which might have lead to her rebellion. She had Rori when she was a teenager. This show follows them as they live in their hometown and their love affairs and shows the sweetest community that you will get attached to. It's so good I cried when it was over.
Just got done binge watching Gilmore Girls! Loved it soooooo much! Great wholesome fun and funny show 🥰 Definitely going to check out Chuck (minus last season. Lol) and Downtown Abbey. Thanks! Love this video 💕

Gilmore Girls is a lighthearted drama, it also gets more dramatic as the show progresses, I'm obsessed with Gilmore Girls, it was on from 2000-2007 & Netflix recently bought it & made a reboot in 2016
I’m a HUGE tv person, it has been an idol in the past for me. I still watch it, but not nearly as often. I enjoy the shows that I’ve seen of the ones you listed! FYI Gilmore Girls does get slightly raunchy, but they never show anything which is much appreciated. I recommend Anne with an “E”! HOWEVER, my line is much further secular than yours (based on the shows you do not watch). I’ve been a tv fiend and I will watch pretty much anything, mostly because I’ve seen it before and it doesn’t shock me anymore. I definitely advise against a lot of these shows, but I personally don’t believe they do me MORE harm by watching them. I will say that as God works on my heart, I do find I have less of a desire to watch these kinds of shows, especially things that scare me! Seriously considering if I will watch 13 Reasons Why, for example. I also stopped watching Degrassi on repeat when a Christian friend told me the show played a huge role in him viewing himself as homosexual when he is very much straight!
I recently came across a theatre production company called Sight and Sound, and they produce amazing and professional stage productions of bible stories - true to the Word and stunning to watch! I highly recommend their Jesus show, as well as the others they produce (all available on their online streaming service).
Sight and Sound is amazing. Even more so in person. Definitely recommend seeing the shows live if possible. I live nearby and have seen a good number of the shows in person. They are definitely worth seeing!

I really like watching cooking and baking shows too haha. Chopped is my go to cooking show lol. And another good relaxing sitcom is The Last Man Standing! Not too much drama and easy to watch.
Ok I used to love Gilmore girls. But there’s a ton of things that are not ok in that show. Firstly like someone already mentioned- they use God’s name in vain a ton. Secondly- at April’s sleepover they “play” light as a feather-stiff as a board which is occultic. “Honor your father and mother” is not something Lorelai does... then there’s the sexual immorality and dirty jokes. I’m sure there’s more but the things I’ve listed show me that this is not a show that glorifies God.

I'm glad I found this video. I've been struggling as a person who grew up on t.v realizing that the window of what I'm comfortable watching is growing smaller everyday. I couldn't get into GG for personal reasons. I was a teen mom so it hits home a little and brings up some not so good times or memories. The office some episodes I can watch other ones not. Not a big fan of cooking shows or to many crime shows. I use to be a big Law and Order fan then suddenly it start bothering me. I'm going to check out Chuck. Scrolling the comments I see a lot of good suggestions, going to check out Boy Meets World. Only thing I saw concerning was all the Netflix recommendations. Last I checked I thought us Christians were boycotting them for their child porn movie called "cuties." Any word on the lawsuit against them for that? One thing that's disappointing how it seems we don't ban together and fight or boycott these networks or services so they keep working to corrupt men, women and worst children. I know its hard to go cold turkey and cut these networks or streaming services off but if we can't stand for these small scale things what happens when they come to enforce large scale things? Its really sad that so many things in entertainment are going to you know where. Not even Hallmark or Lifetime is safe as they are now raming so many wicked acts and shows down ppls throats. I pray I get the wherewithal to give t.v. up at this rate.Thanks for the video

Downton Abbey is one of my favorites! You need to finish watching it. I also enjoy the Great British Baking Show. 2 others I recommend are When Calls the Heart and Heartland.

Those women who support terminations fail to notice that abstinence is 100% effective against pregnancy and is that not the most empowering thing a woman can do to respect her body outside of marriage? Unless it is medical reason such as a serious risk to the mother's life where the mother could die as a result of carrying the pregnancy or the foetus is unlikely to survive at birth or be born in a state of permanent severe pain, then the ethics should be weighed up very carefully. A pregnancy as a result of rape should also be carefully weighed up, and adoption should be considered first instead of termination. I'm all for pro life though and disagree with women using termination as a way to get around their mistakes 🙄
I’ve had some serious convictions about Gilmore girls….especially the blasphemy against God. A lotta people miss it but since I have a sarcastic nature I caught all of those shots they took at Christianity and Christ. It just got worse as the seasons progressed I couldn’t stand it
My favorites are baking shows, documentaries about animals and nature oh and house flipping shows lol Gilmore Girls is nice too 🥰 But just everything that gives me good vibes and is easy on the heart!

I loved Gilmore girls and was so sad when I finished! I’ve honestly have been tempted to just rewatch it. Excited to look into some of these recommendations. I don’t know if it’s me growing in my faith or shows are just getting worse but I’ve tried to watch a few series lately and so far a lot have made me so uncomfortable I had to turn them off.
I love Gilmore Girls, The Office, The Great British Baking Show and a crime show I am loving right now is NCIS. It does have some drama and some suggestive content but it is mainly just a crime show. 😊

My college roommates and I love british shows Victoria is based off the life of Victoria as well as Sanditon on PBS plus. Very wholesome compared to most tv shows I found. Warning, there was one scene in sanditon that we had to fast foward and maybe one in victoria, but, overall we could watch the episodes all the way through. But use your own discretion! For me I found that they were good shows and so did the roommates but that is based on our judgement.
The Japanese drama 1 litre of tears is based on the life of Aya Kitō. It is a family drama about a girl who getd diagnosed with an uncurable disease. It has a little romance sideplot. It is sad but also inspiring ❤

Cooking shows are great and I follow a few on TH-cam, The Hillbilly Kitchen is Christian woman who makes incredible recipes and mixes scripture in every episode. Mom is a very funny show about recovery and acknowledges Christ in several episodes. Jesus said, "be in the world, not of the world." He lives in our hearts. He wants us to be joyful and entertained. He also gives us the free will to say no to content that offends us or is not compatible with the peace He puts in our hearts. Sometimes we make poor choices but He will never leave us. There are very few rules when it comes to Christian enjoyment. The only real requirements are Pornography and things that were used to exploit people. Shows do not have to give us an ideal world. The reality is people curse, have sex outside of marriage and do all sorts of other things. My shows that I watch are: 1. The Chosen 2. Cobra Kai 3. Macgyver 4. Star Trek series 5. Dragon Ball franchises 6. American ninja warrior 7.
I would totally recommend the movie series Divergent. The author is a self professing Christian and there are some parts of it that aren't perfect, but it's good for teens and adults alike. I would also say there are so few good shows to watch. A few I've seen that don't have new agey stuff or occult are: Terra Nova; Walk, Ride, Rodeo; Tall Girl; Jane by Design; Last Man Standing; Duck Dynasty; All Creatures Great & Small; Goonies; Love Comes Softly, Anne of Green Gables (the original one); maybe Blue Crush & Blue Crush 2, but there's some questionable stuff & also Army Wives (seasons 1 & 2 only b/c seasons 3 gets progressive, but still okay); and the show Raising Hope is on the fence b/c it's cute for the First Season but season 2 there are some parts I don't like at all, true of so much stuff on television. **Also: I love that you did this video. I think the teens & parents need this so much right now because the onslaught of supernatural content on the younger generation is too much.

what are your thoughts on the tv shows manifest & stranger things? also what about marvel movies? i don’t really think i would enjoy baking shows & i watched gilmore girls and had to turn it off just because i was starting to compare my life in the fact that i was going through a breakup & the two girls were dating. also i felt it rather boring after a couple watches. so i just stopped watching it because i wasn’t enjoying it… not because i thought it was bad. but the shows i mentioned above are shows/movies that are more my speed. i did go through a phase of loving horror and thriller movies, but i’ve been trying to stay away from those shows recently. i felt very convicted when watching the show “you”. it just made me feel gross after watching.
From my experience, even if it doesn't convict me personally doesn't mean it's good to watch (like if you where deep in a sinful lifestyle and just felt comfy there). If you get PureFlix they have some on there that are good, or ones that use Christ to get rid of the evil. (Also stranger things S4 is VERY satanic, don't continue reading if you don't want spoilers: Vecta can be compared to the enemy almost and uses the things that haunt ppl against them to literally take their souls.. he tortures peoples minds as well. It's the same thing with Marvel doc strange 2) I would recommend asking the Lord for discernment and look up why you shouldn't watch something (or should! Like The Chosen☺️)

I was convicted by Gilmore Girls. I watched the whole thing and the reboot a few years back and I loved it. Lately I've tried watching episodes again and found some very problematic things and topics.

Emily was not perfect (I mean, who is?) but she was always looking for the best for her daughter and granddaughter but she was always treated disrespectfully and pinned as some sort of villain. Rory was made out to be this humble and perfect girl, and towards the beginning of the series, she was, but after a while she was just as entitled (though she always played the victim and "poor" card) as the people she made fun of while getting the same perks as them and being able to go to her rich grandparents when she wanted. Then there's the fact that Rory started acting out in a very bratty and unmoral way, never showing some sort of remorse, and thinking she was right for doing them because it felt good. This, for me, is not a very good example especially as a christian girl. And like I said, for a time it was my favorite series but as I've grown in my walk with the Lord, every time I try watching an episode, it doesn't sit well with me. My rule of thumb with TV programs is that any show Common Sense Media gives a 15+ rating or under to is A-OK, a 16+ or 17+ is judgment call but I kind of just need to make sure I can handle it, and an 18+ is a HARD PASS (looking at you, shows like Game of Thrones, Euphoria, etc.). So yeah, I always make sure I read the reviews of the shows on CSM and also the Christian website Plugged In. Common Sense Media and Plugged In are so insightful, especially Plugged In. This line in the sand works for me pretty well as a conscious adult.
the chosen is a WONDERFUL show to watch! season two comes out on Easter Sunday and I cannot wait. It's about the life and ministry of Jesus, but it's not cheesy at ALL! i also really appreciate that the show has biblical "fact-checkers" and people who have deeply studied theology, so they try to make it as accurate as possible! its definitely a favorite my family and I watch together!

Lorelai Gilmore you could say was a "wild child" her parents were very rich which might have lead to her rebellion. She had Rori when she was a teenager. This show follows them as they live in their hometown and their love affairs and shows the sweetest community that you will get attached to. It's so good I cried when it was over.
This was my fav show of all time until I found out they make fun of God a few times on the show and Jesus :(

Gilmore Girls is a lighthearted drama, it also gets more dramatic as the show progresses, I'm obsessed with Gilmore Girls, it was on from 2000-2007 & Netflix recently bought it & made a reboot in 2016
I’m a HUGE tv person, it has been an idol in the past for me. I still watch it, but not nearly as often. I enjoy the shows that I’ve seen of the ones you listed! FYI Gilmore Girls does get slightly raunchy, but they never show anything which is much appreciated. I recommend Anne with an “E”!
HOWEVER, my line is much further secular than yours (based on the shows you do not watch). I’ve been a tv fiend and I will watch pretty much anything, mostly because I’ve seen it before and it doesn’t shock me anymore. I definitely advise against a lot of these shows, but I personally don’t believe they do me MORE harm by watching them. I will say that as God works on my heart, I do find I have less of a desire to watch these kinds of shows, especially things that scare me! Seriously considering if I will watch 13 Reasons Why, for example. I also stopped watching Degrassi on repeat when a Christian friend told me the show played a huge role in him viewing himself as homosexual when he is very much straight!

I recently came across a theatre production company called Sight and Sound, and they produce amazing and professional stage productions of bible stories - true to the Word and stunning to watch! I highly recommend their Jesus show, as well as the others they produce (all available on their online streaming service).
Sight and Sound is amazing. Even more so in person. Definitely recommend seeing the shows live if possible. I live nearby and have seen a good number of the shows in person. They are definitely worth seeing!

I really like watching cooking and baking shows too haha. Chopped is my go to cooking show lol. And another good relaxing sitcom is The Last Man Standing! Not too much drama and easy to watch.
Ok I used to love Gilmore girls. But there’s a ton of things that are not ok in that show. Firstly like someone already mentioned- they use God’s name in vain a ton. Secondly- at April’s sleepover they “play” light as a feather-stiff as a board which is occultic. “Honor your father and mother” is not something Lorelai does... then there’s the sexual immorality and dirty jokes. I’m sure there’s more but the things I’ve listed show me that this is not a show that glorifies God.

I'm glad I found this video. I've been struggling as a person who grew up on t.v realizing that the window of what I'm comfortable watching is growing smaller everyday. I couldn't get into GG for personal reasons. I was a teen mom so it hits home a little and brings up some not so good times or memories. The office some episodes I can watch other ones not. Not a big fan of cooking shows or to many crime shows. I use to be a big Law and Order fan then suddenly it start bothering me. I'm going to check out Chuck. Scrolling the comments I see a lot of good suggestions, going to check out Boy Meets World.
Only thing I saw concerning was all the Netflix recommendations. Last I checked I thought us Christians were boycotting them for their child porn movie called "cuties." Any word on the lawsuit against them for that? One thing that's disappointing how it seems we don't ban together and fight or boycott these networks or services so they keep working to corrupt men, women and worst children. I know its hard to go cold turkey and cut these networks or streaming services off but if we can't stand for these small scale things what happens when they come to enforce large scale things?
Its really sad that so many things in entertainment are going to you know where. Not even Hallmark or Lifetime is safe as they are now raming so many wicked acts and shows down ppls throats. I pray I get the wherewithal to give t.v. up at this rate.Thanks for the video

Those women who support terminations fail to notice that abstinence is 100% effective against pregnancy and is that not the most empowering thing a woman can do to respect her body outside of marriage? Unless it is medical reason such as a serious risk to the mother's life where the mother could die as a result of carrying the pregnancy or the foetus is unlikely to survive at birth or be born in a state of permanent severe pain, then the ethics should be weighed up very carefully. A pregnancy as a result of rape should also be carefully weighed up, and adoption should be considered first instead of termination. I'm all for pro life though and disagree with women using termination as a way to get around their mistakes 🙄
I’ve had some serious convictions about Gilmore girls….especially the blasphemy against God. A lotta people miss it but since I have a sarcastic nature I caught all of those shots they took at Christianity and Christ. It just got worse as the seasons progressed I couldn’t stand it

I loved Gilmore girls and was so sad when I finished! I’ve honestly have been tempted to just rewatch it. Excited to look into some of these recommendations. I don’t know if it’s me growing in my faith or shows are just getting worse but I’ve tried to watch a few series lately and so far a lot have made me so uncomfortable I had to turn them off.
I love Gilmore Girls, The Office, The Great British Baking Show and a crime show I am loving right now is NCIS. It does have some drama and some suggestive content but it is mainly just a crime show. 😊

My college roommates and I love british shows Victoria is based off the life of Victoria as well as Sanditon on PBS plus. Very wholesome compared to most tv shows I found. Warning, there was one scene in sanditon that we had to fast foward and maybe one in victoria, but, overall we could watch the episodes all the way through. But use your own discretion! For me I found that they were good shows and so did the roommates but that is based on our judgement.

The Japanese drama 1 litre of tears is based on the life of Aya Kitō. It is a family drama about a girl who getd diagnosed with an uncurable disease. It has a little romance sideplot. It is sad but also inspiring ❤

Cooking shows are great and I follow a few on TH-cam, The Hillbilly Kitchen is Christian woman who makes incredible recipes and mixes scripture in every episode. Mom is a very funny show about recovery and acknowledges Christ in several episodes. Jesus said, "be in the world, not of the world." He lives in our hearts. He wants us to be joyful and entertained. He also gives us the free will to say no to content that offends us or is not compatible with the peace He puts in our hearts. Sometimes we make poor choices but He will never leave us. There are very few rules when it comes to Christian enjoyment. The only real requirements are Pornography and things that were used to exploit people.
Shows do not have to give us an ideal world. The reality is people curse, have sex outside of marriage and do all sorts of other things.

I would totally recommend the movie series Divergent. The author is a self professing Christian and there are some parts of it that aren't perfect, but it's good for teens and adults alike. I would also say there are so few good shows to watch. A few I've seen that don't have new agey stuff or occult are: Terra Nova; Walk, Ride, Rodeo; Tall Girl; Jane by Design; Last Man Standing; Duck Dynasty; All Creatures Great & Small; Goonies; Love Comes Softly, Anne of Green Gables (the original one); maybe Blue Crush & Blue Crush 2, but there's some questionable stuff & also Army Wives (seasons 1 & 2 only b/c seasons 3 gets progressive, but still okay); and the show Raising Hope is on the fence b/c it's cute for the First Season but season 2 there are some parts I don't like at all, true of so much stuff on television. **Also: I love that you did this video. I think the teens & parents need this so much right now because the onslaught of supernatural content on the younger generation is too much.

what are your thoughts on the tv shows manifest & stranger things? also what about marvel movies? i don’t really think i would enjoy baking shows & i watched gilmore girls and had to turn it off just because i was starting to compare my life in the fact that i was going through a breakup & the two girls were dating. also i felt it rather boring after a couple watches. so i just stopped watching it because i wasn’t enjoying it… not because i thought it was bad. but the shows i mentioned above are shows/movies that are more my speed. i did go through a phase of loving horror and thriller movies, but i’ve been trying to stay away from those shows recently. i felt very convicted when watching the show “you”. it just made me feel gross after watching.
From my experience, even if it doesn't convict me personally doesn't mean it's good to watch (like if you where deep in a sinful lifestyle and just felt comfy there). If you get PureFlix they have some on there that are good, or ones that use Christ to get rid of the evil. (Also stranger things S4 is VERY satanic, don't continue reading if you don't want spoilers: Vecta can be compared to the enemy almost and uses the things that haunt ppl against them to literally take their souls.. he tortures peoples minds as well. It's the same thing with Marvel doc strange 2)
I would recommend asking the Lord for discernment and look up why you shouldn't watch something (or should! Like The Chosen☺️)
