The amount of effort you put in to give the product a chance to "shine" leaves no doubt that its grade A snake oil. Thanks for the thorough review! Chemical guys stuff is hard to beat. Maguires makes some good ceramic tire shine as well that doesnt just collect dirt.
The First Company I Saw Develop This Type Of Tire Shine Was Dura-Coating Technology, I Tried Them A Few Years Ago. Pricey But Wow! It Did Last Months On My Daily Driver, Kit Comes With Its Own Tire Degreaser Which Seems To Be Pretty Aggressive. I Decided To Try This Permashine & I’m Barely A Week In So Not Holding My Breath On It. I’ll Probably Switch Back To Dura-Dressing. Great Review!
Great to know! When I researched this product online, it seemed great. I'm very happy that I watched your excellent review video. I agree with you, $24 for 8 oz of products, is super expensive! Yeah, to me, it doesn't seem like there is ANY tire dressing/gel that won't come off in rain or when you was your car! It's unfortunate, but the truth. Which means for the few times, I have to take my car out in the rain, I have to reapply my tire dressing each and every time! I have Meguiars tire endurance gel and I've also been trying another Meguiars tire dressing as well. It sucks and it's frustrating but that seems to be what the reality of ALL these tire dressings actually are though! Thanks again for your review!
I understand that they sell you on it lasting up to from 6 months up to a year but if you honestly get 30 days out of a tire shine that’s very good for only $24 even if it is only 8oz.
I would agree, however, the application process is a pain and takes about 45 minutes for two coats. You can't let it touch your skin or rims. My chemical guys can be applied in 30 seconds and last for 3 weeks. 🤷🏼♂️
Can you please do a video on the Schrader valve threads on your C8. Thanks. These videos are among your best. I would try “Pledge” next. See what happens.
I've gone to just buying the cheapest car shine I can find. I have tried Meguiars, Griots, Chemical Guys, Armor All, etc. Nothing really lasts past a week or two. I was my car weekly and have to reapply . So, the cheapest I can find is my go to now.
Hi my name is lucky an I have c5!an I like your video I have a couple of questions 1 when you put your push button start did the column lock message go away 2 can the column lock kill your battery
Cleaned them and then cleaned them again. Using not only tire cleaners, but degreasers as well to get any impurities off the rubber. I've tried this product a couple of times with different approaches. I have previous videos on it as well. Linked is my first attempt. th-cam.com/video/KUOMZUUKbbc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CcNXNftIYYT3czd-
@VetOnVettes Thanks. I did a well. Not happy with this either. I took care in applying it and where ever it bubbled it just stayed that way. Can't get rid of any white streaks either. Ugh. Looks like crap now.
Chemical guys are awful hard to beat when it comes to tire and interior care products. C5 is looking great and yeah spent a decade in the Marines I’m a mop & glow / never dull expert.

The Jay Leno brand tire dressing is impressive.
Is that really a thing? 🤔👀

Did you wash the tire with tire cleaner first?
