Camping and knitting - 2 new projects! A scrappy hat with little leftover balls of orange yarns, and a baby blanket for a great-nephew coming in the fall.
I can't believe how big your bee was in the intro... like a fairytale bee! I'm one of those from Down Under and went whale watching on Sydney Harbour yesterday. It was a gorgeous, calm, sunny day and we saw about 4 humpback whales. Today is a little colder and windier so I'm glad we were lucky with the weather (and the whales).

I’m binding off my first Ankers Summer Shirt in Purl Soho’s Santolina. I’m already thinking about a second one and I still have sleeves to knit! Love your dress colors. I would leave the colors. They look great! I’m heading to Texas next week for a wedding where it is 101° F today. Our 80°F is pleasant and breezy. My gardens and flowers are so happy! Thank you for an enjoyable knit and chat today! It is so good to see you smile again! 😁💕

We are also busy sweeping 🧹 away the yellow powder from our pine trees 🌲 . This year the trees seem to be sending out more than usual 🫣. I’m really enjoying your neon obsessions! So fun and I think they’ll look great on you 🤗!

I really enjoyed seeing the flowers in your garden, I used to have both those colours of Oriental Poppies. I am crocheting the primrose throw by Arne and Carlos. I like you need bright and easy project because of difficult times, I sympathise with you and understand your need for extra beauty. I am glad for you that you have your poppies back.

I love the lupine. I just spent a week with my knitting friends in the northern part of minnesota Hovland is 18 miles from Canada on the north shore of Lake Superior the Lupine were amazing… so we’re mosquitoes. Scrapie mohair dress is so Jana joy producing! 💕🧶stunning… Absolutely stunning!

Thank you so much! I knit with all sorts of yarn, that's what makes it fun. 😊 Some of my knits cost me less than 10 euros in yarn and there is nothing wrong with that. ❤️
Knitting the Ankers shirt currently. It might be a little warm for the summer here in Oklahoma but it’s definitely a quick knit and I really like the fit of the yoke.

I have never been able to edit my comments, so just adding another comment about your Cloudbow dress. I say take it back to the section you’re not sure about because if you don’t, you will always wonder, “what if.” I know I can drive myself crazy wondering later if I should have done this, tried that color, etc., etc.

I bought that issue for that pattern and have not cast it on yet. You have convinced me to have that be my next big cast on. I'm focusing right now on trying to get through the yoke of the Whitehorse sweater (working through purchased patterns I haven't made yet!) out of single strand of Plutloppi. I love the idea of using some of my single strand scraps with my collection of mohair. Also need to determine what I would wear under the Cloudbow...
You could paint your green-neo buttons with yellow nail paint. (The one your are wearing!) It might chip sometime, just like on the nails, but your can re paint, just like the nails !! It is important to clean the button thoroughly before painting. Try this with nails polish remover on the back side first. If it attacks the green color, then try with isopropyl Alkohol. It really depends if your think you will use these buttons a lot, or if the cardigan will mostly be left open.

I was just wondering that maybe if you don't have neon yellow buttons you might have nail polish in that colour and maybe you could colour your existing buttons with that..? 🤔😊
What beautiful poppies!! I love them, but haven't had much luck getting them to grow here; it's wonderful you found the seeds & they came back.
I just have I-cord finishes for the Kaisla dress and Summer Sorrel tee, and I'll have 2 FOs! Meanwhile, here I am working away on a sock and Maire is in a project bag. I'm getting a hip replacement in August, so it can wait until then & be ready for Fall.

Knitting my scrappy after everything socks while catching up with you. Your pink poppy you said you didn't know where it came from. A bird probably dropped the seed via pooping. I hope that was okay to say, lol. I didn't know how else to explain it. 😆 Today was fun seeing all your scrappy knitting. I need to try making a summer top like you have made. I have resisted making summer tops b/c I always felt they were too heavy for me to wear in the summer. DK weight sweaters are more spring and fall sweaters to me. 🙂🧶

I was just getting started watching and thought of polymer clay. You get it at a craft store. Here in Canada, we have it at Michaels craft stores. And I did check, there is a neon yellow. You may be able to make a few buttons, or button tops. Now, back to my show!!
