I admire your commitment to having a variety of makeup on your month away. I prefer a minimal capsule of makeup when I travel and I am not a fan of those decanters. It makes total sense for you and I am happy that you get to enjoy your collection all year round. I value seeing familiar favourites in your collection.

I have a few of those squeezy Muji tubes; love them. They also make a tiny metal spatula and teeny tiny compact puffs. Muji is the best. (I also have their mini washboard and foldable compact mirror.)

Ohhhh! Please do a video of the actual makeup looks that you did for the wedding and your everyday makeup looks while on holiday! Love the condensed makeup bag! Yes to the full lipstick bullets for touch ups because the palettes would be too much for touch ups. ALSO, a good thing with depotting and/or decanting products to smaller containers, IF you ever accidentally forget or drop the product somewhere it isn't as heartbreaking compared to losing the whole product! It has happened to me before, my foundation rolled off a desk and the glass bottle broke at the start of my trip and I had an event to go to still! I had to repurchase new foundation while on the trip, good thing there was a mall near where I was staying.

To be honest, my makeup doesn't vary dramatically enough day to day to need to worry about which outfit it does / doesn't go with, and my wardrobe is full of neutrals that are easy to work with (black, white, stripes, denim, navy, khaki etc). I usually look at makeup as a way to enhance my features and how I feel that day, instead of complementing an outfit. But I definitely care more about crafting an overall cohesive look when it's a special occasion like a wedding, right down to my nail polish match! 😄💅 x

I’m just now planning a trip in October for about two and a half weeks. Not much occasion to doll up, but it will be stressful and putting on a splash of color helps perk me up. Thanks for the tip about sunscreen, I was thinking about decanting some skincare with higher SPF but I think I will err on the side of caution and not. (Thankfully the package is not that big.) Likewise, cushion foundation is a no go but I did recently buy a holiday set that had a regular and a mini of the same shade. No cream shadow can stay on my lid regardless of base so I’ll just pick some of pressed powder palettes in non-bulky packages. I am thinking about doing what you did for lips though, I can pare it down to 2-3 sticks but why not try out…will still cut out on bulk. Now, cutting down on eye liner pencils will be the real challenge…(Yes, using eyeshadow as a liner is possible but I love pencils and have so many specific ones I want to have at hand.) Just got the fwee keychain that has a mirror and small pot to decant their lip&cheek pudding, don’t think I’ll be using it for the trip but it’s fun for everyday. Another vote for the wedding (guest) look video!

If you ever wanted to revisit travel makeup, I’d be curious if there’s any other eyeshadow palettes you think are made for travel. I’ve always found finding a palette that can handle day to night for things like a weeklong trip a little difficult. Hope you had a great time in Greece!

You packed with such thought 🥰 My overnight bag always has the free samples. So I'm able to travel with CT Magic cream and LE cleanser. A multipurpose stick from Pearl. Lip balm and shades. Oh and I've just got the new VB concealer which gives a great finish. I tend to forget powder and just use my daughter's water wipes but to blot. And I'll buy an extra baby toothbrush for eyebrows. Rollerball, non alcoholic perfume, and a tranquiliser for seeing myself in the car mirror! 😅Xx

I'm so much like u, I do the same thing. So many little containers of my big Clarin products. Occasionally I have Mini shampoo/ conditioner from the hair dressers and I've had ultraceuticals packs that I've had sunscreen etc in them. Would love to see your makeup for the wedding 😊

I’m currently on a long (6month long 😅) holiday, and I really had to curate my skincare and makeup bags for the trip. For skincare, I took Korres Greek yoghurt cleanser (full size) Laniege cream skin mini, Embryolisse moisturiser, Mecca sunscreen 30+. For makeup, I took Nars sheer glow, Chanel concealer, Kosas cloud powder, ABH brow promade, LM caviar stick in cocoa, By Terry eyeshadow stick in Misty Rock, Chantecaille cheek tint in Happy, Chantecaille gel bronzer, Mac lipstick in Cosmo, Nars lip Pencil in Famous Red (RIP) and audacious lipstick in Charlotte (RIP). I’ve picked up a few bits of makeup such as Refy and Merit, because I wouldn’t be able to get them in Australia (lol joke on me, Merit will be shipping to Australia 🇦🇺 September 😅) but I will be going to town when I get to London 😍😍😍. Sounds like you have curated your makeup wardrobe well over the years, whilst still feeding the makeup lover inside.

@@matildaonvideo I may have watched your travel videos for inspiration 🙈 We started in Canada for 7 weeks travelling west to east, currently in Iceland for a week, then UK for 3 weeks and finally travelling around Europe for 3 months, finishing our trip in Sweden☺️. My husband (since April this year) and I have been talking about travel like this since our first date (in 2018) so after saving up annual leave and taking our long service leave, we decided to make it a reality.
These days I've gotten my travel make up down to almost nothing. Self-setting concealer, mascara, a glowy three-in-one of some sort for easy eyes, lips, cheeks, and, if it's a mostly indoor trip, something different I can put on my eyes for fun. My glasses cover my eyebrows but if they didn't I'd also have some sort of brow product. To be fair I'm also masking full time so I don't have a lot of face to make up.
I would love to know what makeup was atually worn to the wedding! I'm heading to Greece in a few weeks for a 3 month stay and am keen to hear how makeup holds up there! I know it won't be the middle of summer, but tips are great! I would also love to hear what you came back with :)

Planning to share my beauty purchases from London and Paris soon 😍💄 I was pleasantly surprised how well my wedding makeup held up in the heat given I didn't go to extreme lengths to make it last - only the Gucci primer, applying very light layers of complexion products, and minimal placement of the BY TERRY powder. But I have dry skin to start with, and I'm never too fussed about my makeup looking 'perfect' hours later. I like that it lives and moves with you, and that works with the relaxed lifestyle on a Greek island! No pressure to look polished. Please tell me all about your 3 month trip?! I am on holiday now and that mini Enigma Milk all-use stick is my Makeup as I am writing these words, plus a Laouta coral lip and cheek Spf Tint. My holiday bag is full of Body stuff: solid bar shampoo and conditioners and pre and post sun spf and regenerative creams😊🏵️🌞❤

I haven't shared any style content before unfortunately, but really appreciate your interest! I managed to roll up 10-11 dresses, 1 shorts/shirt set and 3 bathers into my carry-on for the 2 week summery section of the trip - lots of loose linen pieces! ☺️🤍 x

I haven't cleaned any out yet, sticking with these products for a while! But I'd imagine they'd be fine if you blast them with water and dish soap in the sink. That's how I clean the little containers I decant skincare into 👍 x

There are certainly similar shades in the Makeup by Mario Master Mattes Neutrals palette! @teresaglina shared a great comparison on Instagram earlier in the year (the cover photo of the post is the Bakeup palette). Not a good comparison size wise sadly, but certainly similar matte tones ☺️🎨🤎 x
I just went away for a week and my makeup pouches (yes, plural, pouches) were so much bigger 🙈 but I didn’t depot anything, I must say. And also I wanted to have options for eyes and lips. Will make notes for next time!

Oh no, I wasn't sure if there was enough interest in this back then! I got so sick after Eras too so it threw off my upload plans at the time 💔 But I remember the key products - Rare Beauty Liquid Shadow in Nearly Rose + Lisa Eldridge's Liquid Lurex in Bianca on top for sparkly pink eyes, and Rouge Dior Forever Liquid in 999 for a classic long-lasting red lip! x

Just got the fwee keychain that has a mirror and small pot to decant their lip&cheek pudding, don’t think I’ll be using it for the trip but it’s fun for everyday.

If you ever wanted to revisit travel makeup, I’d be curious if there’s any other eyeshadow palettes you think are made for travel. I’ve always found finding a palette that can handle day to night for things like a weeklong trip a little difficult.

I wonder if there are others that are compact enough *and* versatile enough to justify bringing! Will definitely think about this x

You packed with such thought 🥰 My overnight bag always has the free samples. So I'm able to travel with CT Magic cream and LE cleanser. A multipurpose stick from Pearl. Lip balm and shades. Oh and I've just got the new VB concealer which gives a great finish. I tend to forget powder and just use my daughter's water wipes but to blot. And I'll buy an extra baby toothbrush for eyebrows. Rollerball, non alcoholic perfume, and a tranquiliser for seeing myself in the car mirror! 😅Xx

I'm so much like u, I do the same thing. So many little containers of my big Clarin products. Occasionally I have Mini shampoo/ conditioner from the hair dressers and I've had ultraceuticals packs that I've had sunscreen etc in them. Would love to see your makeup for the wedding 😊

I’m currently on a long (6month long 😅) holiday, and I really had to curate my skincare and makeup bags for the trip.
For skincare, I took Korres Greek yoghurt cleanser (full size) Laniege cream skin mini, Embryolisse moisturiser, Mecca sunscreen 30+.
For makeup, I took Nars sheer glow, Chanel concealer, Kosas cloud powder, ABH brow promade, LM caviar stick in cocoa, By Terry eyeshadow stick in Misty Rock, Chantecaille cheek tint in Happy, Chantecaille gel bronzer, Mac lipstick in Cosmo, Nars lip Pencil in Famous Red (RIP) and audacious lipstick in Charlotte (RIP). I’ve picked up a few bits of makeup such as Refy and Merit, because I wouldn’t be able to get them in Australia (lol joke on me, Merit will be shipping to Australia 🇦🇺 September 😅) but I will be going to town when I get to London 😍😍😍.
Sounds like you have curated your makeup wardrobe well over the years, whilst still feeding the makeup lover inside.

@@matildaonvideo I may have watched your travel videos for inspiration 🙈 We started in Canada for 7 weeks travelling west to east, currently in Iceland for a week, then UK for 3 weeks and finally travelling around Europe for 3 months, finishing our trip in Sweden☺️. My husband (since April this year) and I have been talking about travel like this since our first date (in 2018) so after saving up annual leave and taking our long service leave, we decided to make it a reality.
These days I've gotten my travel make up down to almost nothing. Self-setting concealer, mascara, a glowy three-in-one of some sort for easy eyes, lips, cheeks, and, if it's a mostly indoor trip, something different I can put on my eyes for fun. My glasses cover my eyebrows but if they didn't I'd also have some sort of brow product. To be fair I'm also masking full time so I don't have a lot of face to make up.

Planning to share my beauty purchases from London and Paris soon 😍💄 I was pleasantly surprised how well my wedding makeup held up in the heat given I didn't go to extreme lengths to make it last - only the Gucci primer, applying very light layers of complexion products, and minimal placement of the BY TERRY powder. But I have dry skin to start with, and I'm never too fussed about my makeup looking 'perfect' hours later. I like that it lives and moves with you, and that works with the relaxed lifestyle on a Greek island! No pressure to look polished. Please tell me all about your 3 month trip?! Yay...) and travelling through Paris on the way to the Greek Islands. I very much have a list of things to get, and am pulling heavily from your restock video at French pharmacies. I'm very happy if my makeup melts off over time, but I would like it to stay on through dinner and drinks! It sounds like a tinted moisturiser and a red lip is the go! Ah, my job has been disestablished. After having a teary talk with my BFF, who is in a similar position, we both decided to sell everything, take the money and move to a Greek Island for 3 months then spend the next while travelling and working remotely. I went away a month ago to Bundaberg for 4 days, I took my Charlotte Tilbury eye cream, mini powder, concealer, bronzer that I used for eyes and cheeks, mascara and Clinique chubby lip colour in two tonne tomato. Sadly discounted

Are those muji tubes hard to clean after being filled with foundation?
I haven't cleaned any out yet, sticking with these products for a while! But I'd imagine they'd be fine if you blast them with water and dish soap in the sink. That's how I clean the little containers I decant skincare into 👍 x

There are certainly similar shades in the Makeup by Mario Master Mattes Neutrals palette! @teresaglina shared a great comparison on Instagram earlier in the year (the cover photo of the post is the Bakeup palette). Not a good comparison size wise sadly, but certainly similar matte tones ☺️🎨🤎 x

I just went away for a week and my makeup pouches (yes, plural, pouches) were so much bigger 🙈 but I didn’t depot anything, I must say. And also I wanted to have options for eyes and lips. Will make notes for next time!

I got so sick after Eras too so it threw off my upload plans at the time 💔 But I remember the key products - Rare Beauty Liquid Shadow in Nearly Rose + Lisa Eldridge's Liquid Lurex in Bianca on top for sparkly pink eyes, and Rouge Dior Forever Liquid in 999 for a classic long-lasting red lip! x
I am currently in process of moving houses. My makeup is in a box, somewhere with other boxes 🫣 and it will stay that way for at least few weeks until we settle down. So, I just have my essentials in the small makeup bag. Pray for me
