I used to had it in my bag all the time (and I´m not a make up artist), can´t understand what people stopped talking about that product (I used for eyeliner. Either dried one or to make me one with shadow. It´s great).
My 2024 favorites: Dior Foundation Stick is my go to for my over age 70 skin. Hourglass Instant Extensions Mascara because it doesn’t smudge on my watery eyes. Armani Luminous Silk Blush in Mystery wears well all day.Armani Prisma Glass Lip Gloss in Amber Shine because it is moisturizing with a my lips but better color. Love your video format!! I really can't believe 2024 is nearly over, my son has his graduation tomorrow from primary school, next year high school. Can not believe it. I'm loving so many products atm. The only new product I've tried this year is the Laura Mercier loose powder but as always great selection. I'm still loving a lot of Mac products ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
Oh I have lots, my Mac palette with so many great colours, my studio fix powder, paint pot, my favourite blush is frankly Scarlett, I do have others, Dolly mix ( may be ) it is a bright pink, I haven't worn that in years but I use to wear it a lot. Melba is beautiful as well even peaches ( that is a bit brighter. ) frienda lippie that is a hot pinkie colour. I utterly love that colour. Just so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Because of you, I have become a HUGE Merit fan. The complexion stick, in Dune, is perfection. The blush Fox is 😘. The mascara! The shadows , I now own 3, Venchetta, Midcentury, and Brun. But … the lipsticks are my favorite. l’avenue is my favorite so far but I also now have 1990. It is great on its own but it also mixes with a clear gloss, I use Naturium lip balm to sheer it more,to make a perfect daily lip. Thank you for all the research and swatching you do every year! I could not have curated such a wonderful makeup collection, in a minimal way,without you! Happy Christmas and New Year!

THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR HAS COME. I love how playful this edit was--your concealer bit cracked me up. I always love seeing old favorites and tried-and-true products. Weirdly comforting seeing a Bobbi Brown crushed lip in another yearly favorites video. Also a neat surprise to see Rare Beauty's liquid eyeshadow back in the game (unfortunately I've noticed that Sephora no longer stocks it? Not sure if Rare Beauty is slowly discontinuing or if they just didn't sell well on Sephora). Merit blushes and satin lipsticks are still on my yearly favorites for sure! I've been going back and forth about Chanel 04:00 since you posted your Tortured Poets video... it is a very me shade but I also hate that Chanel discontinues products left and right. Nothing more frustrating than finding a holy grail product that gets discontinued.

Thanks for sharing your favorites once again Matilda! I always look forward to this (and really all your videos!). Some of my favs have not changed for years such as my Dior concealer as a spot concealer as I don’t really wear foundation. If I do want a bit of coverage, Chanel water fresh tint was my go to. Tower 28 concealer in a tiny amount to brighten the inner corner of my eyes. Merit mascara was probably my fav of the tubing mascaras, and Clio kill lash for a waterproof option. Just got the ysl and can’t wait to try it. I’m a blush girl so I have loads of them. But rose inc, westman atelier, merit, Patrick ta remain my fav cream blushes. Rare beauty, elf, amd Huda beauty for liquids. Rarely use powder blush but my fav is rms. Makeup by Mario enhancer is the fav cream bronzer again and for powder the Hermes and surratt ones. Such a wonderful finish! I change up colors each season. Pink in spring, corals in summer, toasted burgundy in fall and bright burgundy and berry in winter. But Ive been loving red blush the last few months. Merit and tower 28 cream red blushes have been on repeat. For lips I’ve been loving dark pinks and sheer reds with a brown liner lately. But my go to is a rosy brown and I have loads. Love merit, Dior, Chanel usually non matte formulas. Charlotte tilbury and Lisa Eldridge are my all time fav mattes. Bond girl by CT is my longest wearing color. Dior mahogany lip oil is forever my fav. But the Clinique black honey lip oil is just as used since coming out. I’m a one and done eye shadow gal most often with a light shimmery taupe with a dash of champagne in the center usually. But I love to play with other colors with the seasons, using warm peaches and corals in the summer when my light olive skin gets tan. Wow that was a whole video of my own. That Laura Mercier Matte Caviar Stick is GORGEOUS. My eyes are dark brown, but I'm putting it on the "to investigate" list anyway. It looks so velvety-rich. This year was definitely more skincare driven for me! Fell in love with the avene xeracalm cream, rhode glazing milk, and ilia face base! For complexion I really enjoyed one of your picks, the summer fridays skin tint! Summer fridays was definitely my brand of the year (Sunscreen, skin tint, balms, serum and their new mist!) Definitely want to try out the lisa eldrige skin tint, as well as giving typology skincare a try! Their packaging is to die for. Was looking forward to this video, already excited for next year! I've taken advantage of some deals over the past couple of months on lip and cheek products. I bought a mini palette from RMS, a set of three sticks from Milk, and another small face palette from Jones Road. Love the moisturizing I get from the Milk sticks, and Rally is a fun lip color. Haven't really loved the Jones Road palette as much as I hoped; I think I'll try mixing the colors a bit. I'm a big fan of the mini RMS palette! Biggest surprise is that the red (Beloved) looks good on me! I pat it on with my finger for a blotted look; with neutral eyes and cheeks, it feels a bit like the "French girl" look. Oh! And for lip gloss/treatment, you should check out Tower 28!! Their lip softies are lovely, moisturizing, and smell yummy! (Especially Dulce de Leche and Ube Vanilla.)

I’m new to Merit and loved the holiday lip set. I have dry lips and still needed a gloss over, but love the shades. The matte is a matte, but isn’t drying. The Westman Atelier blushes are my favorite for my dry skin. Creamy, but buildable. The BEST!
I really enjoyed the Laura Mercier Japan in Bloom eye palette this year ❤ it’s also very small and travel friendly. It has every colour I could ever want!! Winner for lips goes to the Romand Juicy Lasting Tint in Pink Pumpkin, I used it up without even trying 😂 a simply perfect all-season muted warm red. For clear lips, I loved the Sauvina Olea lip balm. The scent is perfect and it’s the perfect balm texture for daytime. Adorable dinky packaging too. I also tried the Lisa Eldridge kitten flick eyeliner, really easy to apply and lasts all day 🎉 love it. Honourable mention goes to old trusty Mac Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. It’s my favourite eye base now. So soft and brightening!! ❤ Great video as always
Love getting to see all your beauty favourites! Epanoui is definitely on my wishlist but the Lisa Eldridge product that was on my favourites list this year would be Spirited Away, a safe go to colour for me. Also Mac's Buisness Casual in the Lustreglass range, even got a compliment from my boss!
Spirited Away is my everyday color that stays in my bag. I swear, no matter what lipstick I leave the house wearing, I come home in Spirited Away, haha!

Hourglass lip liner is so good - top lip overlined realistically and effortlessly without trying; I just couldn't zero in on a color but I'm determined to. Fav primer is Chanel Les Beiges water tint with Lisa Eldridge base. My sensitive skin loves the Chanel which sooths, smooths and preps. Also use Typology and Chantecaille cushion. My fav blush topper Glowish but its discontinued so I'm looking at Surratt torche luminaire. my lids are so hooded i only use the lightest tan in the Charlotte Tilbury Sophisticate quad. I like Stila wet line on upper waterline and slightly outside of waterline in inner corner. Thanks for the great recommends - I'm looking for a great blush color and lip color. Using Hourglass liquid blush and powder blush but want more impact.
Favourites are Ultra Violette supreme screen - I’m so glad for a great sunscreen and an Aussie owned one too. Also love the Fenty Beauty cream bronzer in Butta Biscuit to give me extra glow, and reached for the Rare Beauty cream blush in Nearly Apricot the most. Foundation wise I found myself enjoying the Fenty Beauty EazeDrop foundation: good blend of still lightweight and blendable but a touch more coverage. And I too love the Kosas Lip Oil, although the cola shade from the mini set looks odd on me. My favourite is Dip
Hahahaha, I love your "Oh shocking! Wait, no, my concealer combo is the same as always". I spent this year really focusing on older products in my hoard, so I didn't try a whole lot of new things. The Viseart Petit Pro 1 palette has been my go-to all year, and I've hit pan in 2 shades this year using them as eyebrow powder and eyeliner. Laura Mercier Rose Gold became my go-to for inner corner highlight this year. I'm honestly sad it's gone because it was PERFECT. Didn't like it on my lids, because it creased badly and didn't really have enough shine for me, but on my inner corner it was perfect. I've got other creams to use up that substitute well, but that one will probably be an eventual repurchase purely for my inner corner highlight. The bare minerals strength and length has been a favourite mascara for a few years. I think I have one tube left that i'll hopefully break into next year, and then i'll be able to try some new mascaras finally! I've been working through the backlog for a few years now. They accumulate so easily! Base product wise, Lancome Teint Idole Ultra wear was a favourite, and I purchased a full size, which I sadly haven't delved into yet because i've been trying to finish the L'Oreal hydro tint serums all year. Still got a ways to go, but getting there slowly. Concealer favourites have been NARS Creme brulee in both the creamy matte formula and the normal formula. I've been using a sample of the creamy matte formula that I got from Mecca in 2022, and it's STILL going. I don't think i'll ever need to purchase a full size of that product. If I do, i feel like it would literally last until I turn 90. lol. Also Charlotte Tilbury under eye corrector in fair. I probably wouldn't repurchase this one when I do finish it, but it's been great for days where I just want some brightening under the eyes. Blush/bronzer have been pretty understated this year. I'm working my way through Nudestix Bondi Bae bronzer mini, which is great in winter, but doesn't work so well when I'm tanned in the Summer. Currently using Too Faced Sun Bunny Bronzer. It's a great glowy summer staple that i've owned for a few years. I've been playing with Nudestix Bohemian Rose this year, mostly because everyone is gushing over the barbie pink, and it's the closest thing I own. Super pretty for winter and spring, but not so much for Summer. It's pretty, but I wouldn't repurchase it when i'm done. For highlight I have fallen back head over heels with the ELF Melon-Aire stick, which gives a pretty pink sheen to the cheeks and is pretty unique in my collection of highlighters, and Lisa Eldridge's Crystal Nebula. That has become a daily staple for me again, but it takes SO LONG to work through it. I'll need to repurchase it when it finally goes bad. It's also a great a mixing medium to help me create glowy cream blushes with lipsticks and liquid lipsticks. Lip products wise I discovered the dermal therapy lip balms, and they've pretty much been all i've been wearing all year. Lisa Eldridge's Kitten Mischief, Spirited away, and Rose Official have been favourites this year. The Burts Bees tinted lip balms in Red Dahlia, Rose, and Hibiscus have also been favourites for me this year too, and I've dabbled in some K-beauty lip tints which have really been gorgeous. I'm excited for what 2025 will bring, and while the goal is to try not to buy anything new again and keep working through what I have, I'm looking forward to really getting some good use out of the products i've spent the money on. 2025's goal is to rotate and try everything, and declutter what doesn't work or I don't like to try and downsize, but I'm hoping i'll find some new favourites to play around with. 😁

My only 2024 new makeup (tool) fave is the Piccasso 2Way Makeup Spatula. I prefer cushion foundations & this really changed the way I apply my base. It's so much easier to apply thinner & more even layers. I pretty much stuck to old faves/holy grails, so there are no new makeup product faves for me this year. So shoutout to Merit. Everything from them, especially the Merit mascara is freaking amazing. I had a meltdown and cried a lot one day while I wore the mascara and it stayed put on me. My makeup looked amazing. The blush I had on blended in with my naturally flushed face after crying. 😂 I don’t mean to be nihilistic. But Merit rocks!

This year's faves include Fenty Eaze Drops in shade 3; Kosas Cloud Set in Airy, Huda Beaty setting powder in Banana Bread, RB liquid eyeshadow in Nearly Neutral, MFE Artist Color Pencils in several shades. Blushes and shadow pallettes come in and out with the seasons and my mood, but my 6 pan Milani pallette in 110 Partner in Crime has 3 pans in it, so that says something. Mascara just needs to be black for me, no special devotion to one in particular. Happy Christmas to all!

@@clarerichardson8770 it's such a fun and interesting texture. surprisingly pigmented as I don't associate pudding/ mousse texture to have strong colour payoff. Not very long lasting on my cheeks (maybe half a day?) as I am quite oily but slightly longer on the lips as it's quite matte. I got the pot with free keychain where you can decant some of the product to the keychain, but it was such a messy process and quite a lot of waste :( I hope you enjoy it if you do end up purchasing :)
I just got the Vieve Sunset Blush Balm in Rosa, and I love it. I can’t remember if you have already reviewed it or not, but I think it’s a color you would like a lot, not purely pink or purely peach, but somewhere in between.

I’ve somehow done something a lot of people think is impossible and nearly I used up a whole Sodt Pich blush from Rare Beauty, the nice pink one. My most worn lip combo is Black honey over a browny nude lip liner (usually CT iconic nude)

Roen cream blush Peach flush 6. Jones road miracle balm in Dusty Rose 7. Manasi 7 eye and lip pots in Furusato and Ayame 8. Lip balms by Laka, a korean brand, an orangey one and a pinky mauve one. I'm considering trying the minimalist foundation stick and am wondering which shade to choose. I use Lisa's tint in both 3 (winder shade) and 6 (summer shade). I was looking at the shade bisque. Do you have any suggestion as to which shade I should use?
I wish I was skilled in the art of shade matching to help! I'm shade 3 in Lisa's tint too but could probably go for shade 4 next time, and Dune is my perfect Minimalist shade. I know the MERIT team is very helpful and you can DM them a selfie or photo of yourself in natural light for some advice, so that might be the best approach! ☺️👍 x

I don't think we have any overlapping faves this year! One of my staples has been a Japanese mascara (ISEHAN - Kiss Me Heroine Make Micro Mascara Advanced Film) that has the tiniest brush and stays put no matter what. Also, how unfortunate that your depotted eyeshadow sticks have dried out :( I love how the face palette is looking though!
Ooh I've always heard good things about those Heroine Make mascaras Nicole! Luckily a very helpful viewer suggested using Inglot Duraline to bring my dried out shadows back to life so I'll have a play over the holidays ☺️👍 x
i work at ulta in the us and just noticed that that laura mercier caviar stick might be discontinued too!!! i just looked it up and i think they might’ve renamed the shade to forbidden rose? not sure if it’s the exact same shade tho

I am still in a huge blush phase and 2025 (can’t believe I’m saying that!) just might be the year I try out the WA Cream Blush Stick! I continue to reach for cream over powder so I don’t think it would be a bad investment! As far as favorites go, I discovered my love for the Glossier Ultra Lip (Pony is my favorite shade), I added several cream blushes to my collection that I didn’t need 😂 (Makeup by Mario Soft Pop, Tower 28, Kier Weiss), and fell head over heels in love with the Makeup by Mario Soft Sculpt Cream Bronzer (so much so that it’s my only bronzer) ❤ happy holidays to all!

is there a brand that does a really good cool-isf nude palette with 6 or less colors and the palette isn't every big? I'm tired of having to buy big palettes with a lot of colors I'll never use and they go to waste, and singles with a magnet palette aren't that common, like i tried going to Kiki Milano here in France the other day and they used to do a "build your own palette" at a reasonable price, but it looked like they stopped doing it. I've seen some palettes with warm nudes, but those look really weird in me.
Same number of products as last year, but I really appreciate your enthusiasm! Annual favourites videos take twice as long to make as my regular uploads, so at such a busy time of year, 12-13 minutes feels like the right length for me (I'm a one woman show doing all of my own filming / editing / production, plus my shoulder might dislocate if I had to swatch any more than this 😂😅) x

I've only played with the lip oils and liquid bronzer and highlighter briefly while filming some reels, but will test them all out properly in the new year and report back! The tinted serum was the formula that became an instant daily makeup bag addition a few months ago 😍 x

Another creator I watch calls the Rose Inc. product container "the toilet" and now I can't get that image out of my mind whenever I see it. That line of Bobbi Brown lipsticks is so wonderful. Hopefully it never gets discontinued.
I am right with you on all things Merit. I love the creaminess of their colors and they are my go to. I did cheat and add Rhode toasted teddy pocket blush and piggy and for lips, I added Westman atelier LFG, a hot warm, vibrant lip color, that makes me so happy. A major pivot from my usual nudey, my lips but better route.

I used to had it in my bag all the time (and I´m not a make up artist), can´t understand what people stopped talking about that product (I used for eyeliner. Either dried one or to make me one with shadow. It´s great).
My 2024 favorites: Dior Foundation Stick is my go to for my over age 70 skin. Hourglass Instant Extensions Mascara because it doesn’t smudge on my watery eyes. Armani Luminous Silk Blush in Mystery wears well all day.Armani Prisma Glass Lip Gloss in Amber Shine because it is moisturizing with a my lips but better color. Love your video format!! I really can't believe 2024 is nearly over, my son has his graduation tomorrow from primary school, next year high school. Can not believe it. I'm loving so many products atm. The only new product I've tried this year is the Laura Mercier loose powder but as always great selection. I'm still loving a lot of Mac products ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊

Oh I have lots, my Mac palette with so many great colours, my studio fix powder, paint pot, my favourite blush is frankly Scarlett, I do have others, Dolly mix ( may be ) it is a bright pink, I haven't worn that in years but I use to wear it a lot. Melba is beautiful as well even peaches ( that is a bit brighter. ) frienda lippie that is a hot pinkie colour. I utterly love that colour. Just so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Because of you, I have become a HUGE Merit fan. The complexion stick, in Dune, is perfection. The blush Fox is 😘. The mascara! The shadows , I now own 3, Venchetta, Midcentury, and Brun. But … the lipsticks are my favorite. l’avenue is my favorite so far but I also now have 1990. It is great on its own but it also mixes with a clear gloss, I use Naturium lip balm to sheer it more,to make a perfect daily lip. Thank you for all the research and swatching you do every year! I could not have curated such a wonderful makeup collection, in a minimal way,without you! Happy Christmas and New Year!

THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR HAS COME. I love how playful this edit was--your concealer bit cracked me up. I always love seeing old favorites and tried-and-true products. Weirdly comforting seeing a Bobbi Brown crushed lip in another yearly favorites video. Also a neat surprise to see Rare Beauty's liquid eyeshadow back in the game (unfortunately I've noticed that Sephora no longer stocks it? Not sure if Rare Beauty is slowly discontinuing or if they just didn't sell well on Sephora).
Merit blushes and satin lipsticks are still on my yearly favorites for sure! I've been going back and forth about Chanel 04:00 since you posted your Tortured Poets video... it is a very me shade but I also hate that Chanel discontinues products left and right. Nothing more frustrating than finding a holy grail product that gets discontinued.

Thanks for sharing your favorites once again Matilda! I always look forward to this (and really all your videos!). Some of my favs have not changed for years such as my Dior concealer as a spot concealer as I don’t really wear foundation. If I do want a bit of coverage, Chanel water fresh tint was my go to. Tower 28 concealer in a tiny amount to brighten the inner corner of my eyes. Merit mascara was probably my fav of the tubing mascaras, and Clio kill lash for a waterproof option. Just got the ysl and can’t wait to try it. I’m a blush girl so I have loads of them. But rose inc, westman atelier, merit, Patrick ta remain my fav cream blushes. Rare beauty, elf, amd Huda beauty for liquids. Rarely use powder blush but my fav is rms. Makeup by Mario enhancer is the fav cream bronzer again and for powder the Hermes and surratt ones. Such a wonderful finish! I change up colors each season. Pink in spring, corals in summer, toasted burgundy in fall and bright burgundy and berry in winter. But Ive been loving red blush the last few months. Merit and tower 28 cream red blushes have been on repeat. For lips I’ve been loving dark pinks and sheer reds with a brown liner lately. But my go to is a rosy brown and I have loads. Love merit, Dior, Chanel usually non matte formulas. Charlotte tilbury and Lisa Eldridge are my all time fav mattes. Bond girl by CT is my longest wearing color. Dior mahogany lip oil is forever my fav. But the Clinique black honey lip oil is just as used since coming out. I’m a one and done eye shadow gal most often with a light shimmery taupe with a dash of champagne in the center usually. But I love to play with other colors with the seasons, using warm peaches and corals in the summer when my light olive skin gets tan. Wow that was a whole video of my own. I've been using my Dior blush as a wash of eyeshadow too, but in Rosewood! It'd be nice if the other half of my music and beauty brain wasn't apparently housed in a different head. 😉I've been really into the Merit matte lipsticks as well, except I wear Classic and Power! (wait--what is that--oh no--the security system's been tripped--is that--in the balaclava--wait--Cle de Peau concealer?! we've never seen her here before! an interloper, a stranger! someone call the police, straight to jail!)
That Laura Mercier Matte Caviar Stick is GORGEOUS. My eyes are dark brown, but I'm putting it on the "to investigate" list anyway. It looks so velvety-rich. I solemnly pledge not to eat it like candy.

I've taken advantage of some deals over the past couple of months on lip and cheek products. I bought a mini palette from RMS, a set of three sticks from Milk, and another small face palette from Jones Road. Love the moisturizing I get from the Milk sticks, and Rally is a fun lip color. Haven't really loved the Jones Road palette as much as I hoped; I think I'll try mixing the colors a bit. I'm a big fan of the mini RMS palette! Biggest surprise is that the red (Beloved) looks good on me! I pat it on with my finger for a blotted look; with neutral eyes and cheeks, it feels a bit like the "French girl" look. Oh! And for lip gloss/treatment, you should check out Tower 28!! Their lip softies are lovely, moisturizing, and smell yummy! (Especially Dulce de Leche and Ube Vanilla.)

I’m new to Merit and loved the holiday lip set. I have dry lips and still needed a gloss over, but love the shades. The matte is a matte, but isn’t drying. The Westman Atelier blushes are my favorite for my dry skin. Creamy, but buildable. The BEST!

I really enjoyed the Laura Mercier Japan in Bloom eye palette this year ❤ it’s also very small and travel friendly. It has every colour I could ever want!!
Winner for lips goes to the Romand Juicy Lasting Tint in Pink Pumpkin, I used it up without even trying 😂 a simply perfect all-season muted warm red.
For clear lips, I loved the Sauvina Olea lip balm. The scent is perfect and it’s the perfect balm texture for daytime. Adorable dinky packaging too.
I also tried the Lisa Eldridge kitten flick eyeliner, really easy to apply and lasts all day 🎉 love it.
Honourable mention goes to old trusty Mac Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. It’s my favourite eye base now. So soft and brightening!!

Hourglass lip liner is so good - top lip overlined realistically and effortlessly without trying; I just couldn't zero in on a color but I'm determined to. Fav primer is Chanel Les Beiges water tint with Lisa Eldridge base. My sensitive skin loves the Chanel which sooths, smooths and preps. Also use Typology and Chantecaille cushion. My fav blush topper Glowish but its discontinued so I'm looking at Surratt torche luminaire. my lids are so hooded i only use the lightest tan in the Charlotte Tilbury Sophisticate quad. I like Stila wet line on upper waterline and slightly outside of waterline in inner corner. Thanks for the great recommends - I'm looking for a great blush color and lip color. Using Hourglass liquid blush and powder blush but want more impact.

Favourites are Ultra Violette supreme screen - I’m so glad for a great sunscreen and an Aussie owned one too. Also love the Fenty Beauty cream bronzer in Butta Biscuit to give me extra glow, and reached for the Rare Beauty cream blush in Nearly Apricot the most. Foundation wise I found myself enjoying the Fenty Beauty EazeDrop foundation: good blend of still lightweight and blendable but a touch more coverage. And I too love the Kosas Lip Oil, although the cola shade from the mini set looks odd on me. My favourite is Dip

Hahahaha, I love your "Oh shocking! Wait, no, my concealer combo is the same as always". I spent this year really focusing on older products in my hoard, so I didn't try a whole lot of new things.
The Viseart Petit Pro 1 palette has been my go-to all year, and I've hit pan in 2 shades this year using them as eyebrow powder and eyeliner. Laura Mercier Rose Gold became my go-to for inner corner highlight this year. I'm honestly sad it's gone because it was PERFECT. Didn't like it on my lids, because it creased badly and didn't really have enough shine for me, but on my inner corner it was perfect. I've got other creams to use up that substitute well, but that one will probably be an eventual repurchase purely for my inner corner highlight. The bare minerals strength and length has been a favourite mascara for a few years. I think I have one tube left that i'll hopefully break into next year, and then i'll be able to try some new mascaras finally! I've been working through the backlog for a few years now. They accumulate so easily!
Base product wise, Lancome Teint Idole Ultra wear was a favourite, and I purchased a full size, which I sadly haven't delved into yet because i've been trying to finish the L'Oreal hydro tint serums all year. Still got a ways to go, but getting there slowly. Concealer favourites have been NARS Creme brulee in both the creamy matte formula and the normal formula. I've been using a sample of the creamy matte formula that I got from Mecca in 2022, and it's STILL going. I don't think i'll ever need to purchase a full size of that product. If I do, i feel like it would literally last until I turn 90. lol. Also Charlotte Tilbury under eye corrector in fair. I probably wouldn't repurchase this one when I do finish it, but it's been great for days where I just want some brightening under the eyes.
Blush/bronzer have been pretty understated this year. I'm working my way through Nudestix Bondi Bae bronzer mini, which is great in winter, but doesn't work so well when I'm tanned in the Summer. Currently using Too Faced Sun Bunny Bronzer. It's a great glowy summer staple that i've owned for a few years. I've been playing with Nudestix Bohemian Rose this year, mostly because everyone is gushing over the barbie pink, and it's the closest thing I own. Super pretty for winter and spring, but not so much for Summer. It's pretty, but I wouldn't repurchase it when i'm done. For highlight I have fallen back head over heels with the ELF Melon-Aire stick, which gives a pretty pink sheen to the cheeks and is pretty unique in my collection of highlighters, and Lisa Eldridge's Crystal Nebula. That has become a daily staple for me again, but it takes SO LONG to work through it. I'll need to repurchase it when it finally goes bad. It's also a great a mixing medium to help me create glowy cream blushes with lipsticks and liquid lipsticks.
Lip products wise I discovered the dermal therapy lip balms, and they've pretty much been all i've been wearing all year. Lisa Eldridge's Kitten Mischief, Spirited away, and Rose Official have been favourites this year. The Burts Bees tinted lip balms in Red Dahlia, Rose, and Hibiscus have also been favourites for me this year too, and I've dabbled in some K-beauty lip tints which have really been gorgeous.
I'm excited for what 2025 will bring, and while the goal is to try not to buy anything new again and keep working through what I have, I'm looking forward to really getting some good use out of the products i've spent the money on. 2025's goal is to rotate and try everything, and declutter what doesn't work or I don't like to try and downsize, but I'm hoping i'll find some new favourites to play around with. 😁

My only 2024 new makeup (tool) fave is the Piccasso 2Way Makeup Spatula. I prefer cushion foundations & this really changed the way I apply my base. It's so much easier to apply thinner & more even layers. I pretty much stuck to old faves/holy grails, so there are no new makeup product faves for me this year. So shoutout to Merit. Everything from them, especially the Merit mascara is freaking amazing. I had a meltdown and cried a lot one day while I wore the mascara and it stayed put on me. My makeup looked amazing. The blush I had on blended in with my naturally flushed face after crying. 😂

This year's faves include Fenty Eaze Drops in shade 3; Kosas Cloud Set in Airy, Huda Beaty setting powder in Banana Bread, RB liquid eyeshadow in Nearly Neutral, MFE Artist Color Pencils in several shades. Blushes and shadow pallettes come in and out with the seasons and my mood, but my 6 pan Milani pallette in 110 Partner in Crime has 3 pans in it, so that says something. Mascara just needs to be black for me, no special devotion to one in particular. Happy Christmas to all!

@@clarerichardson8770 it's such a fun and interesting texture. surprisingly pigmented as I don't associate pudding/ mousse texture to have strong colour payoff. Not very long lasting on my cheeks (maybe half a day?) as I am quite oily but slightly longer on the lips as it's quite matte. I got the pot with free keychain where you can decant some of the product to the keychain, but it was such a messy process and quite a lot of waste :( I hope you enjoy it if you do end up purchasing :)

I just got the Vieve Sunset Blush Balm in Rosa, and I love it. I can’t remember if you have already reviewed it or not, but I think it’s a color you would like a lot, not purely pink or purely peach, but somewhere in between.

I’ve somehow done something a lot of people think is impossible and nearly I used up a whole Sodt Pich blush from Rare Beauty, the nice pink one.
My most worn lip combo is Black honey over a browny nude lip liner (usually CT iconic nude)

Roen cream blush Peach flush 6. Jones road miracle balm in Dusty Rose 7. Manasi 7 eye and lip pots in Furusato and Ayame 8. Lip balms by Laka, a korean brand, an orangey one and a pinky mauve one. I'm considering trying the minimalist foundation stick and am wondering which shade to choose. I use Lisa's tint in both 3 (winder shade) and 6 (summer shade). I was looking at the shade bisque. Do you have any suggestion as to which shade I should use?
I wish I was skilled in the art of shade matching to help! I'm shade 3 in Lisa's tint too but could probably go for shade 4 next time, and Dune is my perfect Minimalist shade. I know the MERIT team is very helpful and you can DM them a selfie or photo of yourself in natural light for some advice, so that might be the best approach! ☺️👍 x
I think Bisque is the best shade for me and I am a medium neutral olive skin tone (sometimes light medium depending on the brand). Hope this helps

Have you tried Violette’s Bisou Balm? Curious how it compares to Gen G since they’re described so similarly and I would love to hear your thoughts.
Yes! You can see both formulas in my old Blotted Lip Look video 💄 I think Bisou Balm feels a little more powdery to me (although I have more experience with the original formula, not the new one). Shade-wise, I reach for Generation G more often! x

Is there a lip stick similar to Merit Apres?? I love berry shades so much and Apres is an all time favorite this year!! Does Merit have more berry colors?
Merit lipsticks in satin and matte are my favorite lipstick formula and colors! I also love the rose inc blush in day lily and heliotrope so I’m sad they are shutting down it seems like? I also love Ami Cole’s blush stick in Dune. Browns are roses on my light medium warm skin tone. So browns are my favorite ❤️😍

I'm lucky to get to play with a lot of different makeup in this job, so the categories I usually finish completely are concealer, brow gel and mascara! Then I recycle the packaging through TerraCycle 💚 x
I don't think we have any overlapping faves this year! One of my staples has been a Japanese mascara (ISEHAN - Kiss Me Heroine Make Micro Mascara Advanced Film) that has the tiniest brush and stays put no matter what.
Also, how unfortunate that your depotted eyeshadow sticks have dried out :( I love how the face palette is looking though!
Ooh I've always heard good things about those Heroine Make mascaras Nicole! Luckily a very helpful viewer suggested using Inglot Duraline to bring my dried out shadows back to life so I'll have a play over the holidays ☺️👍 x
i work at ulta in the us and just noticed that that laura mercier caviar stick might be discontinued too!!! i just looked it up and i think they might’ve renamed the shade to forbidden rose? not sure if it’s the exact same shade tho
Aaah this is reason for me to panic Lily! 😱😂 I think Forbidden Rose is a different shade - there were about 6 sticks in that rosy collection to begin with, I wish they'd kept them all around. Very cool to have an Ulta insider watching, thank you! x

I am still in a huge blush phase and 2025 (can’t believe I’m saying that!) just might be the year I try out the WA Cream Blush Stick! I continue to reach for cream over powder so I don’t think it would be a bad investment! As far as favorites go, I discovered my love for the Glossier Ultra Lip (Pony is my favorite shade), I added several cream blushes to my collection that I didn’t need 😂 (Makeup by Mario Soft Pop, Tower 28, Kier Weiss), and fell head over heels in love with the Makeup by Mario Soft Sculpt Cream Bronzer (so much so that it’s my only bronzer) ❤ happy holidays to all!

is there a brand that does a really good cool-isf nude palette with 6 or less colors and the palette isn't every big? I'm tired of having to buy big palettes with a lot of colors I'll never use and they go to waste, and singles with a magnet palette aren't that common, like i tried going to Kiki Milano here in France the other day and they used to do a "build your own palette" at a reasonable price, but it looked like they stopped doing it. I've seen some palettes with warm nudes, but those look really weird in me.

Annual favourites videos take twice as long to make as my regular uploads, so at such a busy time of year, 12-13 minutes feels like the right length for me (I'm a one woman show doing all of my own filming / editing / production, plus my shoulder might dislocate if I had to swatch any more than this 😂😅) x

@ like u i do like unscented bc it stops me from rubbing my lips together to taste it therefore it lasts longer lol. But also caramel and vanilla. Jelly bean ribbon and now the cinnamon one

I've only played with the lip oils and liquid bronzer and highlighter briefly while filming some reels, but will test them all out properly in the new year and report back! The tinted serum was the formula that became an instant daily makeup bag addition a few months ago 😍 x

All the colors are similar shades… why even have so many products
Everyone has colours they're drawn to or suit them best, and I work as a full-time beauty content creator so testing products = my job! All about subtle shade differences and nuance ☺️🎨 x
Another creator I watch calls the Rose Inc. product container "the toilet" and now I can't get that image out of my mind whenever I see it.
That line of Bobbi Brown lipsticks is so wonderful. Hopefully it never gets discontinued.

I am right with you on all things Merit. I love the creaminess of their colors and they are my go to. I did cheat and add Rhode toasted teddy pocket blush and piggy and for lips, I added Westman atelier LFG, a hot warm, vibrant lip color, that makes me so happy. A major pivot from my usual nudey, my lips but better route.
