Gotta give Lizzie kudos for trying. I've seen people barely taking nibbles of food, and stop. Lizzie went back for a second bite without prompts. Good job!
She did a really good job. She didnt say mean things, she tried her best and really tried to swallow everything. Thats what trying new things is all about. It makes me feel a bit better about wanting to try marinated crab.
So glad that Lizzie found something that she liked in the end! As someone who also isn't the biggest fan of seafood, props to her for trying them all haha
Good on Lizzie for trying. I'll eat almost anything but I do understand people who are like "not for me". Whoever can talk themselves into it tho, should try.
Agree! Stepping into the unknown leads to all kinds of good possibilities and memorable experiences 😅. I'm glad I rolled the dice and started trying the (supposedly) more "exotic" Korean foods years ago, because I've learned to love just about all of it!
As a picky eater myself, this was an impressive showing from Lizzie. It's expected that the raw items would give her more issues since it seemed like texture was such a big hurdle for her and it's not surprising that the chili lobster would have been her "favourite"
So impressed that Lizzie tried all those dishes. I love seafood and thought they all looked amazing but I can’t imagine someone who doesn’t like seafood trying some of those dishes. Definitely some challenging dishes. Now if I was there, nothing would be left on those dishes 😂😂😂.
Love this episode concept. Lizzie is great. Awesome to include another member of the production team. It's also great seeing a woman featured the whole episode. Really enjoying Travel Season. Great job, so far. 👍🏾
I'm proud of her and sympathise with her, as I myself have eating difficulties (for reasons of texture and health problems) but I'm also a bit jealous because I love seafood and fish. It's probably the only thing I can always eat without difficulty (unless it's not fresh or the person is a terrible cook).
Considering how overfished the oceans are, it's more for us. I'm not side-eyeing people who don't have a palate for seafood; just means more for seafood lovers.
@@threvorpaul I didn't overfish the oceans. It's a hard fact but I'm not evil for bringing it up. Maybe more of us need to watch documentaries about environmental degradation and bring it up more often. Our children deserve it.

To be fair to the Midwest, I was always told "don't buy seafood if you can't see the sea." And I think that the people who said that are right, because the difference in the quality of seafood between a landlocked state and a state with a coastline is HUGE.
I love seeing folks enjoy a variety of foods that I personally wouldn't try (some sort of vicarious living, I suppose), but as a fellow picky eater who has had a rocky past with seafood, I love episodes like this where I can see other people going out of their comfort zones, and I'm inspired by their courage.
