    I do feel bad for what you have experienced, but if you fly with a budget low-cost airline (worldwide) you should read all terms and conditions of carriage thoroughly before hand. If this happened to you in the USA, I doubt if the ground staff would have had the patience with you...*military polce state*

      I'm sure you have not had any experience flying in Europe on Budget Airlines , they're ALL restrictive. That's just COMPANY POLICY. If you have a problem , complain to the specific Airlines , don't laugh you stupid passenger !!! You obviously did NOT read the TERMS and Conditions before you bought the ticket , you stupid passenger !

    We need to read the allowance baggages before your flight. I am planning to go to New Zealand and Australia for 3 weeks in 5 months from today. I know they will allow me only 7 kg in total in the aircraft. I will go very light and weight my backpack before my trip. We all need to read the airline allowance!!!!!!

    I have seen these things happen when flying with Airasia and Ryanair. The important thing is to know the rules well and weigh your luggage prior to boarding so that you have the facts. I usually fly Airasia without checked in luggage if I do day trips. No problems because I kept my backpack small and it weighs just under 7 kg. If I have to carry heavier stuff I buy the priority boarding option and I can take 14 Kg and two small bags or 10 kg in one bigger bag.

    AirAsia is a budget airline.. The issue about credit card payment is the airport/airline's fault but the issue with the luggage weight is your fault, 1 bag weighing 7kg and 1 laptop bag is the standard.

    You were trying to save the extra few bucks by taking 2 carry on luggage. One of your carry on should have been checked in. That's the problem with travelers when they try to take 2 carry-on and occupy other passenger's luggage compartment. Remember only ONE SMALL carry on BAG and the rest check in. Your computer should be in your carry on luggage. When booking with Budget Airlines, do not go through web brokers but book directly with the airline.

    • @lewnwdc
      @lewnwdc  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wrong! Each passenger is allowed 1 carry-on suitcase for the overhead bin and 1 small bag to fit under the seat in front of you. Also, of course airlines always advise not to check expensive electronics. You should carry them with you to avoid theft.

    I'm flying Air Asia (no choice) and currently it does say total 7kg which is not enough. Whenever you buy through a third party, you need to do your due diligence and look at the actual airline's website for restrictions. Third parties are not reliable to give you up to date information. So despite what your ticket says, it's hard to make points to your claims. It sucks and sorry that you through that but it is something to learn for the future and for others. I would have purchased the extra $70 just to move forward and not miss your flight. Hope you don't experience this again but it does help people like me not to make that mistake either.

When I learned AirAsia actually allows 2 carry-on bags, I assumed it was 7 kg per bag. I'd never heard of an airline rule limiting weight of 2 combined carry-on bags. 7 kg (15 pounds) is such a laughably low combined carry-on limit. My carry-on suitcase empty weghts about 3 kg.

    they all are doing it and it’s a crime . the luggage fees are out of control and airlines look at as a just as passenger. but budget airlines are the worse because they try to trick you and they give you the work schedules cause they taxi and connect the flights in a strange way.

    My sympathy with the guy. Airline staff sometime can't think byond their ego. They should still let the guy fly at least on humanitarian basis. That was a honest mistake and he was willing to pay.

    • @mckayz33
      @mckayz33 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Stephen Bobir Thai Airways is a full fledged airline. All items already in 1 payment. Airasia is budget airline. We can compartmentalise/choose what service we want use and pay. And yes, being budget means we have to READ and understand the compartmentalise fees to get our money's worth. If too lazy to think, go full fledge airline, and never use budget airline again.

    • @stephenbobir3806
      @stephenbobir3806 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mohd Kamal All airlines are 7kg cabin, not a couple of bags at 7kg each. This person claims to have flown all over the world so he would have known better. Yes I do know the difference in airlines. My last international was budget international before was Thai. Next month already booked is budget international then another international with airasia. Flying budget airlines you have to be prepared to pay for all extras, seat, baggage, catering, refreshments. This is why the fare is cheaper (sometimes).

Swiss air want 21 British pounds each way for a checked in bag for my trip to Zurich and the combined weight of the laptop bag and hand luggage is 8kg that is for everything!! but Easy jet hand luggage is not weighed and the ticket price is cheaper but sadly they didn't fly out until the night time which wastes a whole day there which is a lot for a short trip! i hope you haven't had any issues since x

    I had a flight booked with them out in dec and I'm not using it because my flight is too important for rescheduling, delay, etc. Even for a nonstop. Hate it theres nobody you can speak too about refund, cancellation, or flight move, they only have a chatbot. Online there is no legit way to cancel and still get credit. Only time they'll give credit is if the flight is rescheduled or cancelled and its not even a refund, just credit smh. Too many redflags and definitely a lesson learned even with the ticket costing nearly a grand. Luckily my flight isnt until 8-9 months and ive already booked another flight, but ill definitely be researching flights before booking in the future. Should've known that 700$ roundtrip was too good to be true.
