For over 30 years I never knew anything about an unreleased version of this song. Maybe a day or two ago I searched for Judy Garland Lose That Long Face. I clicked this (simply looking at the thumbnail). And I was shocked! "Someone is screwing around with Ira Gershwin's lyrics", I thought. But it's for real! I think releasing this Complete Version is wonderful. Thank you.
Wow! The other version didn't have have all of the many dancers included .(dancing around and with Judy) This is even more spectacular and truly showcases Judy's talents! 😱 😍 🤗Why were all of the dancers deleted from the first version? 🙄🤔
Being history-minded, I think one of the most fascinating parts of watching reconstructed "lost" films, or sequences, is that the various random pieces of film are of different quality and clearly show what got cut.
One of them, I think the boy, was at the premiere of the restored film in 1983, as an adult, of course. I might be mistaken. I remember reading about it. I think he was happy that after all those years, what they did was finally being seen.
@@TheJudyRoomVideos He was indeed there in person.....we met among others at the party after the TCM premiere....and he was very charming and said very nice things about Judy and the film in general
The fact that Judy didn't win an Oscar for "A Star is Born" is beyond belief!
How in the world is random footage still being discovered almost 70 years later? Incredible.
It´s incomprehensible, why get cut out ever the best sequences!

Wonderful! Does anyone know what happened to the children who were dancing with her?

I read an interview with the girl; she said Judy was very "sweet" and after this role, the girl decided not to stay in show business.
