My main point on new gun control efforts is that we already have 1000's of laws already on the books we aren't enforcing. Weapons prosecutions dropped drastically under the Obama administration, started to tick back up under Trump, and I have no idea under Biden bc I haven't looked it up. Until they use the laws they already have and can prove they don't work, it's a closed discussion with me. And I don't even own a gun. Unless you count the one that shoots either rubber bullets or mace pellets using a CO2 cartridge I sometimes keep in my car depending on where I'm traveling.

More laws will not address the violence. We already have background checks, etc in place. Criminals don't care about laws. And disarming law abiding citizens makes them a target. Prosecutors and judges need to quit being so soft on violent criminals. If a criminal knows they will spend 20+ years in prison, and be an old man/women when they get out, they will think twice about being a repeat offender. These are state issues. The federal government doesn’t control these issues. Funds are passed down from the federal government to the states. States then allocate funds to their cities.

Why then are some red Republican states where the Republican have total control where the education health care and wages are the lowest in the US. I live in a red state and our education system is ranked 48 out of 50. My point is there is blame on both sides. I have friends getting out of Florida now due to high Insurance rates. If they can sell gas for 30-40 cents cheaper than the big chain gas stations then the big chains can sell that low as well. The high prices for goods are not from inflation it’s from greed. Prices went up globally because of the pandemic. I live half time in the US, half time in Europe. Also in Europe prices for food, gas, ect is quite a bit higher than before the pandemic. It’s corporate greed and not the president of the USA who is causing these higher prices.

Part of that comes from the local community, of course. Good practices of study, work ethic, etc. But parts will also need to be external. Inflation is currently at 3%, the first dip since the pandemic. It's going in the right direction. Education improvements will never come through a Trump presidency. Gun control issues will never change under Trump. Trump has already promised the wealthy another tax cut. His last one included only a temporary cut for the middle and lower tax brackets. Price freezes on insulin and inhalers would not have happened under Trump.

Gun control doesn't keep criminals from getting them on the black market. Those laws just make it harder for law abiding people to defend themselves against criminals who have guns. My main point on new gun control efforts is that we already have 1000's of laws already on the books we aren't enforcing. Weapons prosecutions dropped drastically under the Obama administration, started to tick back up under Trump, and I have no idea under Biden bc I haven't looked it up. Until they use the laws they already have and can prove they don't work, it's a closed discussion with me. And I don't even own a gun. Unless you count the one that shoots either rubber bullets or mace pellets using a CO2 cartridge I sometimes keep in my car depending on where I'm traveling.

More laws will not address the violence. We already have background checks, etc in place. Criminals don't care about laws. And disarming law abiding citizens makes them a target. These are state issues. The federal government doesn’t control these issues. Funds are passed down from the federal government to the states. States then allocate funds to their cities.

You are absolutely correct, most people do not understand this. They're looking at the president to address local issues. Those issues have to be addressed at the local level your councilman, congressman and senators. Also the school board is extremely important as well. A lot of those offices get looked over when it's time to vote.

If they can sell gas for 30-40 cents cheaper than the big chain gas stations then the big chains can sell that low as well. The high prices for goods are not from inflation it’s from greed. They know we need to live so we’ll pay the prices. Ever since Covid the corporations have been gouging us. They’re making billions of dollars being greedy. And we’re paying the cost.

Prices went up globally because of the pandemic. I live half time in the US, half time in Europe. Also in Europe prices for food, gas, ect is quite a bit higher than before the pandemic. It’s corporate greed and not the president of the USA who is causing these higher prices.

A company wouldn't sell a $1,000 iPhone if someone wasn't there to pay for it. Period. That's not price gouging, that's demand push inflation which is a direct result of dropping money into the economy after 15 years of artificially low interest rates and helicopter money from quantitative easing. People blaming corporations for making more money for their stakeholders (which is exactly what they're supposed to do btw) don't understand basic economics.

How hard is it to understand that when we have to pay more for fuel because of biden and the democrats cutting off our ability to be self sufficient resulting in our having to buy and import oil from other countries it will cause inflation.
But the ecologist are happy even though shipping that oil in super tankers adds tremendous amounts of pollution to the atmosphere!
The cost of oil does not only affect the cost of driving and trucking.
It also heavily affects energy costs for manufacturing and running each and every business and home!
The high cost of energy definetly causes inflation and is the root cause.
And yes. It does give big business the opportunity to gauge consumers. They work on a profit margin.
And the democrats don't care because the sales tax they get increases as what you pay increases.

They can also ask the Trade division to purpose Controls, Granted now You have to go to the Supreme Court to get their approval now. The President can also ask the Banks to Reform. Etc.

But parts will also need to be external. It's not reasonable to expect a capital poor region to finance its own economic transformation. We can help foster local businesses that then circulate that capital in the local economy. Instead of extracting it as so many modern American businesses do to communities of all types. In other words, smaller/medium businesses over large corporations.

Inflation is currently at 3%, the first dip since the pandemic. It's going in the right direction. Education improvements will never come through a Trump presidency. Gun control issues will never change under Trump. Trump has already promised the wealthy another tax cut. His last one included only a temporary cut for the middle and lower tax brackets. Price freezes on insulin and inhalers would not have happened under Trump.

Those laws just make it harder for law abiding people to defend themselves against criminals who have guns.
Theres a reason why the places with the most stringent gun laws have the highest rate of gun violence.
