How to use Smart Key Rekey EASY!

Not many know how easy it is to rekey your front door using the Smart Key technology. You can use one key to open multiple locks. Must have if you have more than one lock... Less than 1 minute!

I installed the smart key by Kwikset this morning to my front door as my quick set after 37 quit opening and locking. It could not be repaired without all new parts. It lasted 37 years. I did keep it clean, removed any dirt or debris that got in there. Since I live next to the ocean, it seems to happen in the middle of winter when all the rains come. My front door faces the Pacific.
My Kwikset came with a lifetime warranty but I decided that the price was so low and 37 years was a lot of time so I didn't execute the lifetime warranty even though I had all the documents and invoices. Your presentation was very professional and to the point.

Thanks man, I don’t have a smart key lock but I found the Smart key tool in my kwikset smart code box that I bought from a yard sale and could not for the life of me figure out what it went to. I thought it broke off of a piece that goes to the deadbolt, now I i know! Thanks!

We just moved in to our house and we were planning on having a locksmith rekey the front door and back door keypad until I read on the keypad instructions (was searching for how to set code) and saw that there is a smart key in the box and we can rekey it ourselves! Great video. Very easy to re-key multiple door locks. I would add one comment however, you do not have to push the tool in very far as described in the video or on the kiwi set instructions. Just push it in until it feels firm and then pull it out. Follow all other instructions.
