Having a blast in Inquisition (second playthrough after 5 years when I played for the first time) with your Golden Knight build, will probably play whole trilogy after Im done with this and this looks great as I never tried Rogue in DA games(fair to say I only played each of them once lol)
For a rogue I will have my Assassin trilogy build soon. This build is actually a dexterity stacking, double dagger wielding warrior - since in Origins, you were able to that, unlike in DA2 or DAI where warriors became restricted to weapon and shield or two-handed. :)
@@AKisHerceg sorry for that, I saw the Title with dual Dagger and immediately assumed its a rogue without watching the vid, sounds good then. Cant wait for the Assassin Legacy vid !
bard assassin is a good team mate for song of courage/mark of death, I'd always advise haste over momentum as in such a big game you really want that movement speed buff, some pretty long maps in the deep roads or urn of sacred ashes questline. early equipment is The Edge dagger and The High Regard of House Dace for another 10% crit rate that also applys to both weapons, I also like rock-knocker helm (Denerim Market District ) to help add to physical resistance to compensate losing Shield wall/Indomitable.
@@abraduks11 I would not say so. They can work well together, I almost always spec my Alistair that way. Only real problem with the Templar is that awful crash that seems to happen quite often when you use Holy Smite.
Yup, it's cool and all, pretty similar to DEX Rogue. But let's have a look at the reality of solo walkthrough - without abusing glitches such as poison stacking. 1. Regular enemies basically cannot hit you, but those with Overwhelm or Grab can rip you to shreds in seconds. Particularly spiders, not to mention Spider Queen. Why? Lack of heavy / massive armor, at least early on. Also no way to summon a pet to lure dangerous enemies out, unlike Ranger. 2. No way of sneaking upon the spellcasters, detecting or secretly planting traps. 3. No disabling abilities (like Dirty fighting) early on. Big disadvantage against stronger enemies such as Ogre. 4. Limited magic resistance without Templar spec (which is otherwise mostly useless). So any random Emissary with something like Crushing prison or Curse of mortality is likely to be deadly.
I don't consider using multiple Poisons as "abusing a glitch". This ability was present in every single version of the game I have played with. You can stack poisons after patch 1.03 in every version of the game. If this would be a glitch they would have fixed it in the following patches, and in the Ultimate Edition. I think this is an intended feature since in real life you can also coat your weapon with multiple poisons. Overwhelm and magic are always dangerous when you solo no mater what build you are using. In fact they are there so you won't solo. Which warrior build can survive a Crushing Prison on Nightmare early on without Heal or Force Field? Especially when there are multiple enemies with the Emissary. It has a duration of almost 15 sec with 10+dmg per tick. If you solo early game CP is a death sentences no matter what you play as, since most Emissaries cast that first. As for Overwhelm, that is actually pretty easy to resist when it comes to spiders. Spiders tend to cast Web on you a lot, and when you are under the effect of Web(which is pretty long on NM), you can't be Overwhelmed. This does not prevent them from tying though, which means that the only thing they achieve is to put their Overwhelm on cooldown(30s). Every other enemy in the game uses Overwhelm when your health falls below 50%, so with them, you just have to make sure you don't lose half of your health. Which is not that difficult with high defense. You don't actually need the Templar spec to resist most spells. 6 dweomer rune, Spellward, the Maneuvering belt and the Key to the city gives more than enough magic res to resist most spells(plus I was a dwarf so I got +10 magic res too). Stack your dagger with even the lamest little dweomer runes. Every little bit helps. If magic is your main issue, this should solve your problem. Use Riposte to disable enemies. It should be your second or third skill to pick up. I had it before I reached Lothering.
@@AKisHerceg You're technically correct about the crushing prison, though I think Emissaries don't cast it early at all - it's mostly common in a 2nd part of the game. It wasn't that much of a problem as I more commonly play as a Mage (meaning Spell shield + Spellward + other equipment), or a Rogue (one or two spellcaster usually can be killed right away by taking advantage of stealth / proper positioning). But the problem with non-mage characters is that you have to build up your spell resistance for about half of the game (good Dweomer runes are rare), while it's just as needed earlier. And that's not 100% at any time, so every serious encounter with elite spellcasters is down to luck. Overwhelming + chain-paralyzing enemies bothered me more than that, particularly as a mage. The only things that helped somewhat were health regenerating items (Cailan's arms and armor, Lifegiver etc), and the strongest armor available. It really seems that the developers tried to discourage solo players that way. It's hard to do anything when you're in a web or overwhelmed some 95% of the time (+poison spits for good measure). Of course, using summons and/or luring enemies on traps are easier ways to win. About Riposte i've forgotten, thanks
Poison stacks isn't too bad, you do have to keep crafting them and learn a lot of recipies because they don't have a very long duration. I like keeping my inventory clean so I mostly stick to Fleshrot as the recipe is quick to buy and only needs level 7 character to craft, great balance of power to availability. champion is a bit overkill in terms of defence so it can always be dropped for templar and go cailan boots for 20% dodge
Axes are the second best when it comes to STR modifiers. The best is the mace, then axe then swords. In terms of weapon damage and speed, they are the opposite, but the axe is still in the middle.
Anyways I liked your equipment options Battledress of the Provocateur as a Dual Wielding warrior is basically playing the game on easy mode but can you beat the game using the worst equipment possible 😁
he love that warrior deserve! Glad you made the video. I actually found the video with the friendly fire skill overview :D Are the imported items like the reapers cudgel and the battle dress still working for you when you start a new character or you using mods? Because when the servers where took down and is started a new character they where not imported.
I’m using the Steam version of the ultimate edition and everything seems to import fine. :) Only items like The Edge or Bergen’s Honor are not present in the game.
So, you are telling that even with insane +30% crit boost on Rose, dual-striking still outperform crit stacking? I start thinking that dual-striking's 3rd automiss isn't a bug, but rather a balance holder.
@@fraisertinko Actually, I forgot to test that because Beyond the Veil is kind of an overkill if you have a mage with hexes in the party. You deal so much damage, that you stop caring about the difference since even bosses die within seconds.
Some people say there's no difference between going dual dagger or dual sword, they say dagger is just sword with lower damage. But is it true? Or dual daggers are better than dual swords?
They both have different strengths and weaknesses. Daggers have lower range and lower damage, but faster speed and better armor penetration. Swords are the opposite. For example: Faster speed is very handy when you apply poisons to your weapons because faster attacks mean more hits and more damage from poisons. Also when you go with daggers the damage modifier is no longer Str, but Dex, so you can just stack dex to increase your damage - and since dex also increases Defense, you can end up with a gargantuan defense by the end, and basically no physical attacks will be able to hit you(unless they are auto-hit skills).
I kept wondering how you do so much damage . It's the salve buffs. Never noticed the 30 timers on top of hot bar lol. Takes alot of game knowledge to do effectively though I bet
For a dual axe warrior, you need to boost STR instead of DEX to boost your damage. Full sized weapons are governed by STR. Other than that, you can do everything the same way. :)
Ive installed DAO beause I wanted to try this build and sadly it seems GOG cannot download the DLC or expansion. I tried getting the files from EA server but that was taken down so...just gonna play vanilla content I guess ? Guess i can give WAdes Armor but not sure what belt and second dagger to give.
If you don't have dlc content(have you tried getting them via Origin - not sure if it would work or not I have the Steam version), then I recommend Anduril's Blessing belt and the Felon's Coat from Wade's Emporium(after 3 main quests completed). The second Dagger can be the Silverite version of the Thron of the Dead Gods. You can get it from the Drifter's Chache quest in the Deep Roads. :)

I wanted to make an Ash Warrior build since forever, but I always seem to forget about it. :) But yes, 36 DEX in total(Fade Fonts give your 4), the rest is STR. Ash Warriors are Berserkers, but the second spec is optional. You can do a Templar to leech back stamina from mages(makes the Gaxkang fight a joke even solo), or a Reaver for Frightening Appearance and Devour. I think I would go for a Reaver, because Ash Warriors are supposed to be scary as hell.
If you want the Knight Commander plate, I recommend that you don't invest 38 points into str, just invest enough to reach it by boosting your strength temporary with equipment. Harvest Festival Ring +2 Key to the City +2 Barbarian Mace +1 Anduril's Belt +2 So invest around 31 in total with the Fade Fonts. Then wear these, equip the armor, then switch back your equipment. With the Templar spec you will have less damage though. That +8 from the Berserker comes very handy especially since daggers are significantly weaker than full sized weapons.

@@AKisHerceg And I also shouldn't have killed that Templar commander she was actually trying to save us from Anders's annoyingness in the sequel but Dragon 2 has bad writing so importing our gameplay from Origins is useless in that regard.
Yup, that works too. Basically the standard dual weapon warrior. The downside of that is that you can't stack dex/defense, and you take away so many points from your weapon damage because you need to invest a lot in dexterity.
I play origins vanilla version on Xbox 360 and have no internet. So I have no updates for the game and have read that there is a dex/str bug that makes str effect dagger damage not dex just wondering if this is true? Hope u can help answer my question
I have no idea because all I ever played was the Ultimate Edition. But you can test this by checking your damage before distributing your attribute points. Get a dagger and place the 3 points on dex. Now check your damage and compare it to what it was. If it’s improved than dex governs your daggers.
The point of this build is to stack Dex so you can have huge defense while also having great offense with daggers. You can't do that with swords, since they get dmg boost from STR so you would end up with no damage at all if you stack Dex.
