      Depending on your project, you can use luster dust to paint the chocolate after it's completely set up. You can either dust it onto your chocolates or mix it with vodka to paint it on (the alcohol evaporates).

    Are the colors only able to mix with white candy coating and not the brown?

      Pretty much. If you mix it with brown it will still be mostly brown, just slightly tinted and depending on what color you use (like blue) it may make black. I’d suggest checking out a color theory video on magenta yellow cyan. (As these are the true primary colors)

    does the regular white chocolate make a difference when coloring opposed to super white chocolate? is the color more vibrant with the super white?

      Merckens super white has titanium dioxide to make it "super white" and opaque. This is great for getting good coverage when dipping darker foods, but i find it makes it tricky to get a vibrant color. Great for lighter colors like pink, baby blue, lavender etc. However, I've never tried using as much color as she does in the video😯

    Can I add colour to dark chocolate and coconut oil mix which is used for soft serve hardened cones. Or will white chocolate work?

      Unfortunately the candy coloring won't show up with dark or milk chocolate. You'll need to use white chocolate for the color to show up.

    Loved the video. I just have to say I really love the way you have your storage behind you !!! A short video on storage tips would be great! Where did you get the boxes or what are they called? Thank you !!!

      The storage shown is actually our retail racks that hold the products in our retail store. We sell baking and candy making tools and supplies :)

    She doesn't even explain what chocolate to use.

      I see you're asking what chocolate you can use chef master food coloring with. You can use any brand of candy coatings for this project. As shown in the video, I used Merckens brand white candy coatings. You can add candy food coloring to white chocolate to make the exact color you would like, or you can add it to colored candy coatings to alter the shade. Hope this helps, and thanks for asking! ;)

      Hi Jae! Are you using chefmaster candy coloring? If so, how much are you adding and what is the amount of candy coating wafers you're adding it to?

    • @purplebunnyprincess7651
      @purplebunnyprincess7651 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ladysinger84the reason this is happening is because your using red and not magenta. Red is not a primary color. And does not make cool pinks as it contains yellow. Please use magenta to make purples and pinks.

    • @purplebunnyprincess7651
      @purplebunnyprincess7651 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want pink use magenta. If you want red, use more food coloring. If red food coloring is just turning coral, it’s too diluted and you need to use more.

      The video is titled "how to color chocolate using candy food coloring" and she did just that.
      If you’re referring to "how to mix colors" or a “how to mix the color you need" Then i suggest you go look up “color theory with magenta yellow and cyan how to mix colors". And even if they’re teaching you with paint, it should still apply.
      I’m not sure why you think this tutorial is bad. The only thing I see wrong with it is that she didn’t used true primary colors, as red it not one of them, and can easily be made with the true primary colors magenta and yellow. Other than that it’s pretty cut and dry and she did great.

    Hi… I need to make a “garnet red” .. what combo of colors can achieve this?

    For some reason, too much of this product, chef master candy color, seizes my chocolate a bit & gives me that elephant skin texture... I think I need to shake the bottles before adding into my chocolate..
    This is a lovely video, btw.
    ♥️ thank you!

      Chef master makes multiple different types of food coloring. Please be sure you are using the oil-based candy colors and not one of their other color products. Oil-based food coloring won't normally cause seizing but other factors could cause this to happen, such as getting water into your chocolate.
