    I've been studying the golf swing for over 2 year's now, I'm a personal trainer and consider myself athletic and I've been stumped on perfecting the golf swing. I've watched 100's and 100's of youtube video's and all the information out there was just making it more confusing than ever! I come across your chanel and thought it would just be like everything else out there but mate i was blown away with how easy you made it! I knew there was a simple solution and you hit the nail on the head! A big thank you for making golf enjoyable for I'm sure a lot of struggling player's.

    Michael, I've used this setup for a long time and recently lost my swing. For the life of me I couldn't figure it out so I started looking at videos of other coaches. Until I did I wasn't aware that this tilt fits with Austin's teachings but he over complicates it. I also looked at c motion has some similarities but Lee doesn't really provide much detail from what I have seen. Your platform along with your clear breakdowns of what you are doing in each method is outstanding. In working on the drills of this video I found that I was over swinging and getting past my heel line with my back swing. These simple drills are helping me get back to hitting the ball as straight and working as before. The fact that it doesn't take a ton of time to ingrain these movements is great. It's improved my swing through an improved hand path and swing without having to over rotate. For me the 45s really tells the story of how little you need to do in order to send the ball where you want it to go. Well 👍 done.

    Fantastic stuff. Enjoyed it as usual. Aside from top quality Intel that you make available to your audience but its abundantly clear you have a talent for your poised manner in your delivery. I'm quite sure, that you'll agree that in present existence are swing theory that are employed by professional and or high level amateur with a return to present described that should and does compel the masses to overhaul their motion to emulate the swing and hopefully in kind the returned success. But where it becomes painfully anguishingly obvious that you part company is that the party whom is the principle whom conveys the methodologies to wishful initiates does so in a manner which understanding is either a function of my personal ineptitude, not a unlikely occurance if you polled my sphere of influence, or a anemic effort on the teaching principle,or....both. Breath of fresh air for simplicity. Bravo! Oh please forgive the following my hopes are that you receive my upcoming council understanding it is offerred with the utmost sincerely. Can you think about investing in an upgrade to your golf attire? Allow me to clarify I am not suggesting you try to appear like you are hopping onto the back nine fresh off the runway from a fashion shoot or for your appearance to be ditto facsimile of a "hoyty toyty" private club that I'm sure you have in your local locale. But the socks with sandals look with denim shorts and, it shouldn't bother me but it does...your double gloves man...its killin' me! Denim and shorts should never ever be less than mutually exclusive and 2 gloves is almost as tacky as two chains...almost. ...jus' sayin'. Maybe that ia part of your persona showing up to the first tee looking for a nickel Nassau. Believe me I would rush to take that match if I saw the guy 2 glovin' it ans I would be probably be regretting it on the back nine pressin' for it all on the 16th, 17th, or the last, huh?(smile) SERGIO

    Hi Mike I know it’s an old video but I’m learning this swing currently. Do you axe down towards lead or back foot? I’m having issues keeping tilt and hitting ground consistently, this is the first video I’ve seen you say tilt your head so I’ll try this next time

    • @michaelbroderick
      @michaelbroderick  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I axe down towards the front foot. There are however a handful of students who took a lot of pga lessons who do better axing towards the right foot. It fools them into a delayed release of all things. It is not the norm so front foot first.

      I would love those sort of speeds i think i read somewhere that Mike Dunaway was clocked at 131 with a fairly normal driver of 46 inches. I think it is the quality of the strike as well on the up stroke also that counts for distance, and he also used the smaller head as well then which was hard, i had a go with my old yonex titanium driver the other day and is good practise you have to get them dead middle to go well and mine has a 44 inch shaft so is a bit easier to control than his.
      I like the video with him and Mike Austin i am not sure if his driver was titanium then even and he stuck one out 360 yrds it may have used the softer ball back then as well.

    • @michaelbroderick
      @michaelbroderick  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Paul Lowe I choke up to 43 often. I very often go over 350 that way. Improved contact and it still flies long. Many of the pro's use shorter shafts. I recommend it. One thing we do differently though is tee the ball lower. Since we play it only a ball left of Saggital I believe the distance is aided by center contact as well as the shaft kick.

    • @paullowe1191
      @paullowe1191 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok Thanks again for the reply! Yes i am choking down a little now, but will need to build up my speed and confidence again. Because i had slowed it right down with the woods over the last 3 years, because i use to over pivot sometimes with the Mike Austin swing and hit some snap hooks.
      With your method with the slight closed stance they go very striaght, i get a few slight slices with the irons sometimes but i am still learning it but is coming along ok with not much effort with the swing so far. I use the modern swing before the MA swing but hurt my back that way so i searched for a new aid.
      Thanks!! again for your help and concern is much appreciated and All the Best!!

    I don't want to be too critical, but.... It's easy to accelerate a club shaft very fast. Not so easy to get the club head moving fast and get it to square up in order to hit a straight shot. Your swing looks like it would product a big slice.

    • @michaelbroderick

    • @michaelbroderick
      @michaelbroderick  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Works for all planes. You see what I found when learning that a backswing doesn't mean a gosh darn thing. If you get to the top and learn how to swing around a stable neck you'll hit the same low point each and every single time. The ball just getting in the way. It stopped my years of frustration on following such single and 2 plane swings and all the rest of the mantra. In short I got better. I was able to break par
      and hit distances equal and better than the top one percent of golfers. All I do on this channel is offer how I did that. Hopefully it will help others enjoy this silly game as much as I do.
