Dan Spivey's Waylon Mercy character still has a cult following today. Spivey based the character off of 'Max Cady' from the movie CAPE FEAR (Robert Mitchum played him in the original, Robert De Niro in the remake) and some claim Mercy was the inspiration for the early incarnation of Bray Wyatt. Also, Mercy The Buzzard from The Firefly Fun House is named after the character.

The referees in AEW are majority terrible. Tag team wrestling is a lost art in AEW due to the lack of structure and rules, and don't even get me started on the Trios Matches! They're clusterf*cks 90% of the time. Especially when Rick Knox is the referee! It's painful at times. I still watch every week, but pro wrestling has been bastardized in this modern era and it isn't a good thing. Less is always more.

I have a question for Jake, do you realise a lot of us had fathers like you, best there was at what they did, but things went wrong. I lost mine before the comeback! Do you realise the way you've comeback gives us faith they could have too and how grateful we are you shared your story Mr Roberts?
Why does it seem like Jake can't wait to end the podcast ? It seems that once he's answered one question, he can't wait to get to the next one and wrap things up.
