Thank you. I'm a new CPAC user (Resmed 11). Been using it for about 2 months without a problem but all of a sudden, I was getting a gurgling noise from my tube and when I pulled off the quick disconnect, I got a face full of water. After watching this video, I think that I've fixed my problem.

Thank you for all this information about controlling humility on my crap. When you buy a new crap machine they should explain this adjustment to you.

The problem I have is I need more humidification but less heat..
I can’t stand breathing hot air while sleeping.

I found that adding a tube cover also helped with dry mouth.

hello. i primarily use a resmed 11 and a wisp mask. i dont use any water in the chamber or addd any moisture to the system in any way. yet i soak everything around me overnight. sometimes i go through two t shirts, put a towel on my pillow, and soak my sleep masks. the best i can figure is that it is humidity from my exhale coming out the exhaust port on the mask connector. any thoughts or solutions? thanks

I use a nasal mask and although I have occassional leakage my humidifier water canister is dry and is sometimes pitted. Is it set to high?

What is your adjustments for humidification is it in fahrenheit or celsius!

When I put humidity up to 5 plus to prevent dry mouth I get rainout despite having machine on the floor. If I up the tube temperature nothing changes, it’s either constant dry mouth or rainout, Resmed were next to useless when I asked for a solution

I can relate! I had to stop using my Phillips due to a recall. Got a ResMed and worse mistake ever. I could use my Phillips and only go through a quarter to half of the water tank. Now my ResMed is completely empty each morning and it feels like my lips are stuck to my gums and the throat is dry. I've gone clear up to the #8 humidity setting and still dry. I've thought about trying a humidifier by the head of my bed. Best of luck.

Does anyone know if they make a bigger tank for a resmed 10? I have to use a high humidity point 7 and my water only goes about two hours, i get up to fill it but dont get back to sleep.

My setting is lower than yours, but I suffer this same problem. My water lasts maybe three to three-and-a-half hours. When empty I wake to a dry nose and throat. Once I refill the "tank", I often can't get back to sleep, or do so only after a lengthy session of lying on the sofa (where I sleep) before getting in another hour or so of shuteye. A larger water holder would be very beneficial, especially as I need to raise my settings (which are too low for absoulate comfort even with water in the tank). Sadly, I imaging heating it might be an issue. Surely there must be an acceptable solution.

How do you add the humidifier to the Capp machine?

    • @Linusrox123
      @Linusrox123 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I hope your dr by now has said this - but this is part of the machine. It has a chamber built in that you fill with distilled water, like an iron. If you have an older machine call and tell them you are having dry nose and need one with a humidification feature.

Check the tank. Mine was doing that and found a small crack in it. It was leaking slow enough that it was evaporating on the hot plate so I didn't see a puddle until I left the full tank sit on my counter.

NOOOOOO. It's too warm. I'm suffocating by 3am. Increasing tube temp is not the answer.

Right I started out at 71 and within a few days I went to 64 that was alot better, now I'm at 60 this is the best for me I can feel the cool air when I breathe in and I sleep all night, but if it's hot in my mask I feel like I'm suffocating

My machine don't have heated tube. It doesn't show anything about tube temp. Do I need to take to doctor for adjustable?

Yes. Call the medical supply house you picked it up from. They are familiar with ALL the options and technological updates and they will tell you to call your doc and what to ask for.

A question. What sort of mask do you use, and do you open your mouth while asleep? When I began using CPAP, I was primarily a mouth-breather as well as a snorer. I resorted to a jerry-rigged chinstrap made from an old military belt. (The several commercial chinstraps I tried were totally worthless.) That plus adjusting my tube/humidifier settings did the trick, for a good while. I'm now having dry mouth/throat issues again, I think because the mask cushions I get nowadays don't seem to be of the quality they were early on, nott sealing as well once the sleep setting kicks in. But that's neither here nor there, since it might not apply to you.

I like it. Works weather I breathe through my nose or mouth. I tried a lot of different masks and so far I like this one the best.

I don’t know how positive cpap really is , I still cannot function normally as I can only get 4-5 hours of sleep then I can’t go back to sleep again. So I’m tired all day. This therapy is not great

Try turning down your tube temperature,I started out at 71 but within a few days it was to hot a I couldn't breathe so I turned mine down to 60 and the cool air I can feel it going into my nose to my lungs and I slept all night. But try turning the tube temperature down and see if that works
