  • Board Certified Prosthodontist and Board-Certified implant Dentist, Dr. David McFadden, shows a case of a patient who came in with an All-On-4 prosthesis and was very unhappy with several things: The esthetics, food entrapment, airflow issues impeding her speech, and difficulty being able to keep it clean. He discusses what could have been done differently to get a better result, and shows the steps he took to remedy her problem and design a new prosthesis that she was much, much happier with..

Unfortunately, I do not know of such a dentist in the Wichita, Kansas area. All I can suggest is to watch as many of my videos relating to this topic as you can and arm yourself with all the info you can so you know which questions to ask when you’re interviewing dentists. If your search fails to render a viable candidate, and you’re willing to travel to Dallas, I’ll be happy to try and help you. My consultation is complimentary. Our office number is 214-956-9100.

GREAT JOB DOC! What if by changing the MUA to straight instead of 17 0r 30 degrees your access hole is on the buccal or in the tooth?

In cases where we change the abutment for better tissue adaption and improved aesthetics which may place the screw hole in an undesirable position, we use angulated screw channels either from the manufacturer or Dynamic Abutment.

I have been listening to a lot of ALL ON 4 & i am so confused ! I sounds like the correct way to have a ALL ON 4 done is having a Dentist that will do the right operation & not do what better & easier for the Dentist to do. So i am asking at some point down the road what type of dental implants or ALL ON 4 do i want done ? I dont like to keep going back to the dentist for maintenance issue. & how much is the new teeth good to cost ? I had 28 radiation treatment's in 09 for larynx cancer & my teeth is now seeing the results of radiation therapy i did 28 treatments. Thanks

Dr Iam 76 years old or 76 years young. I was around 35 years old when I had my first periodontal surgery. Over the years I have had a few more periodontal treatments,2implants,2 bridges ,several crowns , a lot of root canals. It took me years to learn that my dental problems were my fault,ie. poor hygeine , till 20 years ago I was a heavy smoker. I am down to 9 of my front teeth, recently the last one on the left side broke off at the root. I really miss that tooth, my bite is now really bad and I can feel can feel food pressed into that area .I have had my periodontist recommend an implant and crown to replace that tooth.
My dilemma is this, there is a 3 tooth bridge that is approx 15 years old and all of the natural teeth have root canals.I have one implant up there . I feel like the loss of that one tooth is the beginning of a domino effect of more teeth breaking off or failing.
I am seriously considering an all on 4 upper arch and being done with it,.but watching and listening to your videos is making me nervous about that.

When you have some or all of your teeth, All-on-4 is rarely the best option. If you have a panoramic x-ray, I would be happy to review it.
