  • Explore the ancient city of Yodfat, renowned for its heroic and tragic battle during the Great Revolt of the Jews against Roman occupation in 67 CE. Josephus Flavius, appointed governor of Galilee, led the Jewish forces in a courageous stand here. The battle saw the Roman legions, under General Vespasian, claim victory after a fierce struggle that claimed approximately 40,000 lives.
Yodfat was the first Jewish city in Galilee to resist Roman forces, falling after the peaceful surrender of Sepphoris (Tzipori). Its fall marked a turning point as other cities in the region met similar fates. The entire land of Israel fell after seven years of bloody wars, culminating in 73 CE when Masada, the last stronghold located in the Judean Mountains, fell.
Join us as we journey through the ruins of Yodfat, uncovering the stories of bravery and tragedy from the accounts of Josephus, amidst the backdrop of a turbulent era that shaped the fate of ancient Israel.

@@imreschilk4793 i have had about Josephus from documentaries on the apostles but not read his articles. While he thought that he was just recording history, he has played such a crucial role in filling up the missing parts of the bible.

Both intriguing and sad. Though I knew of Masada, I had never heard of this place and know very little about Josephus. Another one I will be watching again. Thank you both.

Thank you very much for displaying what I always imagined when reading this passage. Now the picture is completely clear, I will soon see that place with my eyes. I am still hungry for the story of Judas Maccabees in the same format. Bless you 🇿🇦🤝🇮🇱🙏🙏🙏

An excellent overview of a place that I have visited during my years of IDF conscription. It is fitting that you published this video in the lunar month Tammuz, on the 4th day thereof, when Josephus was actually captured by the Romans and his life spared.

Josephus is an interesting fellow... I have had a lot of questions about him and this answered a lot. Also, i noticed there are many mant thistles in these areas. I know they're mentioned in the Bible in reference to a change in topography due to the fall of Adam and Eve. It just always makes me feel the change from perfect to flawed.

Who invented "warm" water - Adam or God, that they are still at odds with each other?
    Principles of compensation
    1. Exodus 22:1 is difficult to understand. I believe that the different treatment of sheep and oxen shows the need for wisdom and flexibility when determining compensation. Since a sheep only needs to graze in the pasture to produce wool, meat and young, it is relatively easy to replace it with another sheep.
In comparison, however, it takes quite a bit of effort to train an ox before it can properly perform its harness duties. Therefore, its replacement involves much more than simply buying an ox and putting it out in the pasture, as will be done with the sheep. Therefore, Exodus 22:1 shows that the more difficult a thing is to replace, the greater compensation must be paid to ensure that the owner is fully compensated.

Which was created first by humans God or the law?
    What religion denies Jesus?
Islam rejects the Trinitarian Christian view that Jesus was God incarnate or the son of God, that he was ever crucified or resurrected or that he ever atoned for the sins of mankind. The Quran says that Jesus himself, when asked by God if he said that people shall regard him and Mary as gods, will deny this.
    What do Jews believe in?
Religious expressions of Judaism believe that God is one, has no form, created the world, is eternal and is still actively involved in world affairs. Different streams differ in the degree to which the law can be interpreted and applied to modernity.
What human did God create first?
Adam is the name given in Genesis 1-5 to the first human. Adam is the first human-being aware of God, and features as such in various belief systems (including Judaism, Gnosticism, Christianity, and Islam). According to Christianity, Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden by eating from the Tree of Knowledge.
