Please talk about the controversy if you talk about this in Bible study. Remember history is told by the victors. There is a lot of ancient Palestinian and non-Jewish history there and that context is missing from this narrative for political reasons.

Also of special note, is the correct way of pronouncing the Hebrew prophets and others who figured well in ancient Hebrew history. Thank you for such an enlightening and informative piece of work. This looks rather new! I was there 25 years ago when we ( Christians) could visit the blue mosque and there was ongoing excavation in the city of David and nothing to see yet. So I enjoy!
This was fascinating. However, I don't think ancient people could possibly have walked a quarter of a mile or more every time they needed the bathroom. Especially if they had diarrhea or needed the bathroom in the middle of night. And it would've been impossible to toilet train toddlers if the only place people were allowed to use the bathroom was all the way out there at the edge of town. Surely they must've had chamber pots in their homes and used them daily and then carried the waste to a public dumping hole every day, or something like that. Maybe the bathrooms he seems to suggest the archaeologists may have found on the edge of town were indeed public bathrooms but also used to dump chamber pots. The speaker also showed a dry pool and said he would explain why it's dry, but I don't think he explained it exactly, unless he's implying they drained it in order to try to read the inscription that the archeologists think may or may not be real. The best part of this video is the 2 seals/ bullae of 2 of the guys who stuck the prophet Jeremiah in a pit!!!!!! I mean, 2600 years after they tried to shut Jeremiah up, their official seals are still being used to prove that Jeremiah was right!!!!!
