I try
I repainted an old Titan yoke I bought secondhand. At first I hated the scratches from adjusting the height and loading stones over the cross bar but I feel after a while it gives the equipment character
I agree that there is character from something like that, but what if you could match your gym colors to a piece like that?
@@TheKurtlocker I like to act like I don’t care about how my gym looks but now that I have a good equipment set up I’m paying more attention to aesthetics. If I start painting equipment it will be nice to be able to match color.
Side note: Are you promoting the home gym con comp?

Cool video. I actually took a 24” crossmember, from my Rogue Bright green RM5, to Sherwin Williams and they colored matched it for me. Can’t get spray paint but, it worked out great to match my deadlift platform trim to my rack.
That is another option. How much did you pay for the color match service?
@@TheKurtlocker it was free! I can’t recall how much the quart of paint was. And I still have a ton left over. I’ve thought about buying a sprayer but, don’t really have anything I want to do right now.

This is a great touch up/ customization video. I am trying to do a black and OD green theme. It is hard to match OD greens. My original OD green is from the Rogue operator bar, but buying rattle cans from stores does not match exactly. I will have to look into those color match cards!
Do you have the cerakote or zinc operator bar?
@@TheKurtlocker it is the cerakote. That’s the bar that inspired my garage color theme.

This video was helpful. I have a REP PR 5000 blue. You said that is RAL 5002 in the video. I'm thinking about buying Stealth Spotters and getting them to paint it RAL 5002 to match rack. How do you know it is RAL 5002? I guess I need to test first.
I’d recommend buying a pen to test out the color before purchasing. I’d also like to say, explore other ral color codes and make sure you agree with my assessment.

You think these touch pens work well on the cerakote finishes? I figured it wouldn’t be to hard to color match but I always thought getting the paint pen finish to match the cerakote finish would be the glaring issue.
Depends on the size. It obviously won’t be a direct match, but in some of the paint tools you can select a more flat finish that matches better
