All things I’ve been wondering about. Commuting in this town plays a huge factor in everything we do. Lots of time must be allotted and well planned out no matter what you’re doing. This video is so on point!
Hey Stephanie! You are so right and I've noticed my commute has costs me 100s if not 1000s of dollars in missed assignments so I am definitely trying to figure out how to make things more efficient for myself.
As a full-time NYC notary (and former process server) I speak from experience when I say DO NOT get a car if you live within accessible mass transit. The supposed 1000s of income dollars you may be missing out on will be offset by the 1000s of dollars you save by not having car expenses, insurance and gas costs. Be smart and diversify your services as a notary rather than put all eggs into the LSA basket
Congrats on starting! You can definitely cut costs by taking public transportation especially since you’re at the beginning of your journey. Good luck!
I rarely go back and forth if I can help it. Which means I can’t always accept last minute assignments when I’m on the road. But I’m working on getting my mobile office set up 👍🏾
Great video and great topic. Even though I am not in NY anymore, I still enjoy watching your video. I worked with kids in Foster care when I was living in NY and before I started driving I took MTA and in one day I would got to Brooklyn, Manhattan and Bronx all by MTA it is so stressful on the body but the perk was being paid while I was traveling so it took off a lot of stress lol. Keep doing the awesome job you are doing.
Thank you for sharing! I agree traveling via the MTA can be strenuous especially if the locations are very far from each other but it’s definitely a blessing for those who don’t drive. Thanks again for watching 😊
Hi I’m in NYC! I’m interesting in becoming an LSA I honestly thought it was impossible because NY is an attorney state! I also don’t have a car!! But this gave me the facts and I’m hoping to be an LSA full time so car it is! Can you make a video of how much you make on average doing LSA in nyc please?!
Hey I'm glad I could give you the inspo you needed! And I know you already saw the "How much I made in the first month" video and prices are still pretty much the same as in the video the only difference is I'm more confident in asking for more money so I get paid a bit more than I used to. I try not accept anything for less than $75 (depending on the type of package it is)
Reminds me of the Chicago CTA. Lolol
Yeah I heard the CTA an MTA were similar!

Thanks for sharing! I’m planning to do it as part-time. I live in Queens close to the 7 train.

Great video!
Thank you thank you!!
Just what I was looking for! Subscribed 👏👍
So useful! I've been thinking and thinking about if a car is necessary as a city dweller and you covered every thought I had
As always, on point ✌🏾
Ayeeee thank you Laverne!! 😁
So glad you did this video, still haven't got my test date
It took me 3 months to get my test date 😭 but walk-ins are also an option at certain locations!
@@apiecebypeace so funny I just checked my email after seeing this comment, ny test is 1st week of Feb!
I applied to take my test in May and I didn’t get a test date until July 28th and my test date was August 5th! Study and be patient.
@@chidubs8590 OMG good luck!! See you on the other side 🤗
Do you know where I can get free study materials for nuc notary test, mine is on Thursday and haven't even studied
Thank you for this!!! I’m starting out and right now I’m not driving but I’m part time now. Eventually I will get a car.

Im on uber & taxi as well so, will this work as well?
Hi Peace - aside from becoming a notary public , what other certifications do you need? Thank You
I just relocated to the state that I'm in do I have to use a driver's license because I have a regular ID when graduating to get my certificate
How much do Manhattan pay?
Prices are the same across the entire city so you are looking at prices from anywhere between 65-125 depending on what service you sign up for
Thanks for making this! I’m in the Bronx too (pelham bay) I think I’ll need a car just cause I’m so far
Yup! Girlies like us on the outskirts are most likely going to need a car to get anywhere

The rat dragging the pizza 🐀🍕😂😂😂
When you submitted the Background check with the NNA Package, did you put down regular ID instead of Driver's License?
I genuinely can't remember but I would think I put down Drivers' License since that's what I use for everything
