    Awesome stuff Dwain !!! yeah Its good to hear the perspective of a sprinter who has run sub 10 for the 100m and sub 6.50 for the 60m.. I used to train for the sprints at Leeds City AC back in the 1980's and 90's.. but we didn't have access to this kind of knowledge back then.. most club coaches I encountered taught the same stuff.. they did their best, and I'm grateful for the coaching I had, but the methods they taught would only produce a 10.7 runner at best.. the knowledge your sharing here.. the technical stuff is what I needed to hear.. it's the difference between a fast runner with potential and a real sprinter.. there are good coaches out there.. but not everyone has access to them.. here on youtube it's free.. a kid with talent and potential but no access to the best facilities or money to pay for coaches, they can get the info they need.. inspiring stuff.. cheers.

    WOW! Not knowing much about athletics i never knew how detailed the technical information could be. Gotta say as well i think the way you have presented this is very clear. Nice one

    Hi in the action of sprinting should you speed up the arms or slow down the arm follow the rhythm of the legs say slowly?

    Any tips to fix arms that swing straight and don't break at the elbow?

    • @DwainChambers
      @DwainChambers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      To begin with start doing arm swings in a stationary position (no running-jogging-no nothing-just stay still and focus on the swing of your arms) and have your WRIST swing below the height of your hip. Once you get used to this, the next step is to stand close to a mirror (not facing head on but looking at yourself from a side view) and look for a consistent back swing of both the left and right wrist. make sure both wrists have a consistent gap at the back and at the front.

      There are SO MANY things we could look at. Key is flexibility. Apply this to the start and end of your session then get back in touch

    Should we focus on arms or legs while sprinting ?

    • @DwainChambers
      @DwainChambers  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question 🤔
      The range, direction, and intensity of your arms will dictate what your legs do.
