@@thorkagemob1297 I agree! It is a very normal feeling/response to feel fearful of a weather event such as a hurricane. I myself have never had to go through anything like it. However, I have seen multiple news stations and various TH-cam channels make it seem like it’s going to wipe Florida off the map. My local news station even reported that it “could be a category 6 hurricane” and “would be the worst hurricane anyone on the planet had ever seen”. I was told that by my girlfriend as she read the headline/article on facebook. I replied “I’ll turn on Ryan hall because I trust him” lol.
I work utility natural gas and am on standby. Will be going to the affected area to stop gas leaks and check damaged equipment. We will likely travel thursday.

Hurricane Ian destroyed our house two years ago in Port Charlotte. Looks like a repeat for our area again. Our new house was supposed to be delivered tomorrow…cancelled of course! A blessing in disguise I guess. Praying for everyone impacted.

Worst Hurricane ever.. Hurricane Andrew didn't affect Puerto Rico. It crossed southern Florida and headed towards Louisiana before it became a tropical depression. 1992

I came across you channel by accident one day and I'm glad I did you and your team are truly amazing coming from a country that is not use to seeing weather like this and now being in a tornado prone area you are truly the calm during the worst storm thanks for that you truly were made for this.

Ryan, you need to do your own weather app. Hopefully, it's free, but there are so many apps out there that are not accurate. We need one that we can trust, and you have earned my trust for sure.

He uses an app called RadarOmega. He talked about it a couple videos ago during a Midwest storm this year.

I have friends who had to evacuate a few times. The problem was, with all the people on the main highway, all the gas stations ran out of gas, and people got stranded. Hopefully that problem has been solved. This is just too sad !!

It would be neat if in the future the Yall team set up a text message service for updates and information for those of us who don’t use twitter/x ! I have older family members who watch that just don’t have the capacity to navigate social media- it could help get extra info out to that demographic :) as well as anyone else who doesn’t have social media accounts
This is on TH-cam, which most can get as a phone app. I also got TH-cam on my TV today and watched this entire day’s broadcast by tv. Best channel there is for information and advice without sensationalism.

I live in Kissimmee & in a manufactured home. We have left, like we always do & we are currently in a hotel. I may lose my house but like many, this time we are terrified. I have lived in Florida since 1979 & have never seen these Hurricanes like this.
The problem is that stores ran out of gas stranding people. One girl said that for 3 hours she was in the backed up traffic trying to get home after work and then the stores were out of gas so she couldn't get gas to evacuate. Some ppl just don't even know about a hurricane until it's too late! Her employer should have shut the business down on Sunday so they people could prepare to evacuate!

RYAN: I've been watching this coverage - from several channels. Y'ALL seem to be overlooking something: Lake Okeechobee exists. It is the size of a small, shallow inland sea. The region around lake Okeechobee is going to be a flooding disaster zone. Lakeside residents take note! Please mention this. Nobody else seems to be able to see that lake on the Florida map!

I’m so concerned about the homeless with no where to go! Saw a video with these people out in the storm! Couldn’t they get buses and take them to a school or something? It’s soooo sad!
Yes, there are shelters at local schools and Uber will drive them for free. I realize they may not have access to that info or a phone to get an Uber, so still problematic.

Exactly my thoughts, so many vulnerable people won't be able to get to somewhere safe. Lots of animals who can't escape too. So much fear and suffering, it hurts to think about 😔 storms are beautiful and amazing in some ways but are absolutely horrific at the same time. I guess the best we can all do is try and balance nature's cruelty with caring, love and kindness.

I live in Virginia and I'm watching closely as my sister, brother in law, and my oldest son all live in Hudson, about 7 miles from the coast. I lived in Naples for years and never encountered anything as scary as this. I'm so afraid they're going to lose everything. They all moved to Florida to take care of our Dad before he passed and they gave up their northern homes to be there for him. He passed in February. And they can't afford to move again 😞. It's so scary. Thank you for the great coverage!

RYAN, PLS PLS tell me about the next storm behind Milton. I'm ground zero for Milton in a mobile home, 6 blocks from the water. I'm not going to be able to go home, friends etc. I need to know about the other storm!!! I will go this time to friends in ATL however I need to help my friends, salvage my home, find gas etc. I appreciate your advice and help.
As far as I know there isn't any known storms tracking toward Florida for the time being, besides Milton. If you're worried, I watch Mr. Weatherman on here too. He goes really in-depth into current and future areas of concern for the Americas and islands. Much love and stay safe ❤

No one in other news reporting is warning people of the animals, snakes, fox, wild cat, raccoon, opossum and bugs that will also be trying to leave the storm.
