They were quite sophisticated for a small car at the time Nidal, especially in comparison to their European competitors but that made them expensive and people shopping for small cars in Europe and America weren’t really willing to pay a premium for extras, especially when partnered with clever, economic, but harsh sounding three cylinder diesels. I don’t think they were a financial success and probably paid a part in the company being incrementally bought out by Toyota. An interesting car to dissect.
Лайк тебе Друг) Но! Болты подвески протягивают когда машина стала на колёса под своим весом так правильно работает подвеска , и дольше живут сайлентблоки. Удачи тебе мастер ))) и привет из России 😀✌️
It's funny I usually drive my cars quite hard whenever I get the opportunity but perhaps because this is a little diesel and was my wife's car I never felt like pushing . The handling is way beyond the power of this model. I might be a bit more curious when I get it back on the road this time ;-)
@@VantagePointVideoGarage yeah you should try that. I think this setup would be possible underneath a starlet with some welding. I've read somewhere that people actually did that and should help with handling a lot.
I need the rear axle assembly (dont know what its really called) the part you bolted on in the 50 seconds of your video and cant find a breaker whos breaking a G100. In short my car is stuck in the garage as i cant find the part. Know where i can get this part for my car? I live in Malta
I found a few bits searching ‘Daihatsu Charade g100 rear suspension’ in images on google. This is off a newer version but looks similar maybe you can research if it’ll fit. www.totalparts.nl/eng/car-part/V100014BY8/tension-link-rear+daihatsu+charade-valera-g200-203-sedan-1-5-sg-sr-16v-mpi-valera-he-e+1995-1996-1997-1998-1999-2000 Good luck
@@VantagePointVideoGarage thank you so much. Yes i'll do some finding out if it fits my G100. Maybe i get lucky and it fits. And its cost is cheap too. Thankyou again for your interest
@Vantage Point Video Garage I'm based in ireland too and just bought a 1991 g100 charade looking for rear lights for mine if you know of any one breaking one around
Love your work! Tom
I did not know that the car was that complicated in the back with all those bits and pieces. Good work senan

I see now why it expensive . We have some of those sharades still running here in Jordan but fuelled with benzine not diesel

It'll look better than factory when you've finished restoring Chewie Senan.
Good to see you back Michael.

Shockdempers have no dustcovers?
No they didn’t, it’d be a good idea to fit some. Thanks.
