Just what I needed to know. I'm rebuilding a Bayou I know nothing about ..it didnt run when I got it.. but your video sounded like something I should know about as I put it all back together. 👍😉

@@NaturesCadenceFarm just bought a 1994 and having some high iddling issues cleaned carb and float adjusted.. now doesnt wanna pull start any more very hard.. and goes by itself in any gear.. please help

O. Smallwood yea tell me about it. The Clymer manual has been a huge help. I just did the clutch adjustment on our Honda Recon 250 and it was not nearly as easy to access. Video coming soon!

Very good info, and video! Thank you. Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction on why my lower adjustment screw just keeps going? No resistance is ever felt in either direction.

Hey brother, we bought a 220 bayou and in the gearbox area a grinding or loose metal noise sound is heard constantly, it doesn't affect gear shifting/reverse or compression? Do you have any idea what it could be? Thanks.
Hawk Davison that sounds like a bearing issue or some sort of a gear grinding. If it were mine I would look into it sooner than later. I wouldn't want to have a catastrophic failure that would cost more to fix. I would love to hear what you find. Good luck! ~Mr. C.
@@NaturesCadenceFarm ; I appreciate it brother, I'll keep you posted. It seems to be posted often as an occuring problem on Kawasaki forums. Some are saying "rocker arm". I've already checked timing chain and that looks fine. I'll let you know after teardown and fix hopefully. God bless and be well. Thanks for replying.
I have the exact same 4 wheeler , its taking off really slow , no matter how hard i mash the throttle, do u think this could be my problem?

97 kawasaki KLF 220 bayou and need the copper crush washers for the oil lines...where can I find those?

Hey i had a quick question. I have a 2002 Bayou 220 and i got it for cheap so i expect work, but when I kick it into gear it just lurches then dies. Does anyone know what that would be?
Presley Carpenter I have not seen that before on the Bayou 220. I have however seen this on the Honda Recon I have. It usually happens when it is cold and I knock the choke almost off or completely off too soon. Hope this helps. ~Mr. C.

cole switzer in my opinion and experience it did. Each shift goes into the next with greater authority. With the not adjusted clutch the up shift had to be "feathered" in with the throttle. After the adjustment as soon as you get it into gear it is ready for as much throttle as you want to give it. Thanks for asking and watching. ~Mr. C

You will know when it needs to be adjusted because when you shift and floor it it will rev then slowly engage into gear
My 220 will, all of a sudden, go dead while riding.
Then it won't go into neutral unless I rock it back and forth.
Any idea what's wrong?
@Donnie Rowland ignition box heating up? The CDI box is located under handle bar cover plate on the body. The neutral thing is kinda normal. I have to do that if I stop the motor in gear. Hope this helps! ~Mr. C.
So I could do this if my 4 wheeler is stuck in gear... to get it in natural?

What is the settings for the Carburetor?
Aaron Clark a good start is 1 1/2 turns counter clockwise from lightly seated on the fuel mix screw that is located under the carb on the engine side. if it does not start at that setting you could have a float or jet problem. The screw that is easily seen from the left of the bike is the idle air adjustment. screwing in means more Idle speed and out means less idle speed. Hope this helps. ~Mr. C.
@@NaturesCadenceFarm aquarium, i just put a Kawasaki carburetor on it and took off the Chinese junky carburetor...
