You fucking changed my life sam, because of your teachings that I've applied in my training, i've accomplished first place in nz for swimming. Keep doing what your doing bro, your changing others lives
I’m feeling so down rn because I’m a junior who’s likely going to play JV this year in soccer. My coach has praised me in front of the team for my consistency in showing up everyday and working hard. I made my own training plan to upgrade my speed and technique. I have also been working on mental training. I wish I would’ve found this channel a year ago. I have tryouts next week. We did some fitness test practice and I passed the times requirements to play for the varsity team. I’m just afraid my technical abilities aren’t there. Preseason of my junior year will start in the next two weeks. Wish me luck
@@Xenozzz___ a little bit of fear is normal before tryouts. But think about the stack of evidence you've got to make the cut 💪 all that training has prepared you for the moment
@@SamMartinPeakPerformance you’re right, thanks for the advice. I taken a bunch of notes from your videos and I’m gonna implement it this weekend to ensure I’m fresh next week. Thank you Sam!
I’ve only watched a couple of your videos and I swear I’ve already made 5 months of progress in just 1 week, I play both Baseball ⚾️ and Football ⚽️ and in my pre-season training for the fall season, In just one training game I hit a home run and 2 hits with 4 RBI and in my first scrimmage for fall in football I scored a hat trick with 1 assist. Thanks Sam so far keep making these videos my man!
Sacrifice might be the most underrated obstacle especially for people who are starting out in anything new, a lot of people believe that it's their lack of skill holding them back but the majority of the time it is their lack of sacrifice that may be holding them back more than what they anticipate. Great video.
this is the first video of yours i eevr came across literally 8 minutes ago and i can confidently say youve got me more excited than ever to make sacrifices and put in the much needed work to reach my footballing goals🙌🏾 keep showing others the light and in return you can say youve helped out others! youve got my sub thats forsure😂
The concept of "Your North Star" is an excellent one. Great phrase too. Am going to use this with kids I coach. A note about work ethic: in 2015 Jesse Lingard was breaking into the Manchester United team; in non-league football, Ollie Watkins was playing (on loan from Exeter) for Weston-super-Mare AFC. Where are they now?
Sam I need your help if you can help me I will but the arena and promote to my friends One day I train and I'm dribbling so well like every skills is hitting off next day I'm struggling to keep it up like I don't feel the same what's solutions?. Another thing, Before Training (1on1) I am scared and I'm usually very confident
@@xn7ftbl big thing is to build up consistent routines both before training and performances. This helps build up a sense of familiarity and in turn control Also, with 1-to-1 the fear is just in your head. Worse thing that can happen is you lose the ball and you then try it again.
Is there a way pre game food can influence your performance and mental ability to make decisions can you please explain this in an new video and foods that boost mental and physical performance in a game or a training session.
yes for sure - can vary a lot person to person based on tolerances/allergies and generally how your gut responds to different food etc. Will look into the idea more
Hi Sam, I have been aware of the need to sacrifice a lot of things like video games, doom scrolling, etc. And as much as I am working toward reducing these things/cutting them out completely, I often find myself really wondering what else I can do instead of those activities. I'm 16 years old and still in school, so I try to spend as much time on either training (volleyball) or school, yet I still have a ton of free time and that's where I get trapped into not knowing things I can do that are meaningful towards my dream of getting to the highest level. Do you have tips?
it's great that you're already focusing on training and school. To make the most of your free time, consider setting specific goals related to your dream, like studying the game, practicing mental skills, or learning about nutrition and recovery, which will help you stay productive and motivated toward reaching the highest level. Alternatively, find other hobbies that are not even related to your sport - reading books, spending time in nature, music, or even playing another sport just for fun.
Is it a good idea to use 3rd person when using alter ego (e.g. alter ego = The Butcher: come on butcher you can do this, butcher lad know how important this training is
Great advice. So much goods sports psych on use an alter ego. Check out a podcast called 'Sideways' by Matthew Syed - the episode 'Let's All Be Batman'
Lovely vid man but if there was a garentee to be a pro footballer or any other sport than anyone would sacrifice the only thing is there is not garuntee so maybe you missed all this fun and don’t succeed

I think around 5 to 10kg is optimal, too much will have no effect personally
