Though I am not an athlete or sports fan, I love how the topics of your videos are so easily transferable to other aspects of my life. Keep up the good work.
Can you do a video on why coaches like Pep, Amorim & Ange are coming across as timid and weak when they should be projecting strength & leadership. They can't just give up when times get tough., Pep looks like he's about to cry weekly in the press conferences.
good idea. will look into it. Initial thoughts - 1) Pep is naturally a very agitated/emotional person. Has always had 'nervous' ticks - one I've noticed for years is his constant spitting (even when things going incredibly well). Never been able to sit with himself, which is fine when you're winning but a disaster when things are going badly. 2) Something to be said about how brutal the British media are. The scrutiny is unparalleled compared to other countries and sadly it's in British culture to tear people down.... given the amount of media hours these guys have to do each week, it's inevitable it'll wear them down. Prem managers just end up just disassociating. They give the same post-match interview to like 5 different broadcasters in a row... if you're having to recite your failings that many times each week then a self-fulfilling prophecy easily sets in.
@@SamMartinPeakPerformance Yep great answer, that's fair. I would agree the questions get repetitive, but in this case I've found the reporters to be respectful and I guess the end of game interviews are important as everyone sees them. City have lost all confidence & Haalands penalty rubbed it in further. Cheers mate.
@SamMartinPeakPerformance yes stuff like flow of state and etc. and going into races with people with better prs then you as in skill sports you have so many areas where you can try and get a mental edge
Sam, this is good. But I might contend that his most locked in performance was against Detroit when he scored something like 23 straight points to secure Cavs a spot in the NBA finals. Great work regardless!
I'm aiming to be a professional cricketer, can you give me tips on how to reach flow in it? As it is a non contact sport, it's difficult to attain it fast as compared to games like football.
@@Lightningblade_ stop chasing flow. The more you chase it, the further away it gets. You need to learn to let go. You'll know that in cricket you have to rely on instinct and just let your reactions take over a lot of time.
@SamMartinPeakPerformance Thanks for the tip man. And also, I follow all the tips and mental hacks like the uppers and downers, just like you taught, but I feel like its not working all the time, can you suggest me a solution or make a clear explanation on it in any of your future videos if youre okay with it?
I'm really aiming to be No.1, nothing less.... so it'd be a great help if you do so. I'm working really hard on the physical aspects and would really like to improve on the mental prep and strategic aspects of the game.

Can you break down more physical sports like swimming cycling especially running where there isn't much skill needed besides tactics
@LivhuWaniWisdomwhat do you mean? How to approach them mentally?
