This literally the best channel you can watch if you’re gonna waste time on screens this man’s channel completely makes your mindset so much better. How is this guy so underrated
i find it great that not only do you tell us what the bad habits are, but you actually give solutions as opposed to just letting us figure it out ourselves
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:28 🗣️ Complaining drains mental energy, hinders growth-oriented mindset, and shifts blame externally. 02:49 🌟 Avoid seeking the spotlight all the time, embrace collaboration for better individual and team performance. 05:14 🎮 Device addiction leads to sleep deprivation, anxiety, and reduced focus, harming athletic potential. 07:50 🚫 Refusing help can lead to self-destruction, seek support for mental health and personal growth. 10:12 🧠 Lack of mental preparation leads to performance blunders, prioritize mental warm-up for optimal focus and decision-making.
I have been quietly taking in your content and sharing with friends and family. Your videos are contributing factors that make me better compared to the previous day's version of myself. Thank you!
I feel like the main character syndrome is a huge one, it can ruin a lot of great connections in team sports especially if you start blaming teammates it makes you very very unlikable. Another thing i would like to say to anyone reading this is that THERE IS TIME FOR EVERYTHING. Like what you said about video games, sam is not saying "never play videos games ever" he is saying that you should keep the amount of time you play in check so it does not affect your performance and health. Great video ❤.
Absolutely! All of these things on their own and in small doses may not actually be harmful and sometimes can be helpful. A few hours of videogames throughout the week is not a problem. But if it's 5/6 hours a night and ruining your sleep then that's when it becomes a problem! Thanks for drawing attention to this 👍
I’m a terrible athlete but I love playing sports. I was an athlete that peaked in HS dropped out of college and all this time I thought it was cause I sucked I couldn’t be mentally prepared for a bad game it was so defeating when someone would say anything negative about me when there was trash talk I’d talk it personally I was good till I wasn’t. And yes I had at least a few of those performance killers especially after HS
@@dangerbuffbros253 I ended up learning a lot of this stuff when it was too late for me. Hoping the channel can give people the info I needed when I was younger
Ok I absolutely love your channel but the Bruno take is horrendous, he's fantastic as a player, but does complain a lot and is a bit embarassing to have on your team. But I wouldn't say he's average, his output has been insane and still is unreal
How? The point is, he's been average compared to his first 18 months at the club (his own standards). So many Utd fans I know have this take; he's not really improved. And the numbers don't lie - his first 18 months at Utd = 40 goals in 80 games. And then the last 2 years = 24 goals in 105 games 🤷♂ I know numbers don't paint the whole story. But c'mon, he's barely improved in over 2 years, which considering the age he's at should definitely not be the case. Imagine his numbers if he spent all that energy complaining more productively 😅
Hey Sam I love your videos I’m honestly getting so inspired everyday. Just got one question do u have an instagram account ? Would love to follow you Keep up the best channel on TH-cam ❤️
Hi Lucas, thanks a lot. Currently I don't have an instagram as I just want to focus my efforts on one platform. I do send out a weekly email newsletter though if you want more content/performance tips - link is on my channel page

Appreciate the support bro 🙌 I always hope the videos are more valuable than most other content out there!

Thanks for noticing. Wouldn't really be helpful if I just pointed stuff out and gave no advice on how to deal with them 😅
I don't understand why this channel isn't more famous This channel has helped me change my mentality for the better
Glad to hear that bro - keep working on your mind 🧠💪

Nice one Sam, I’ve observed them all!
Thanks Jeffrey - which do you think is most common? 🤔
@@SamMartinPeakPerformance in my own sport (Olympic shooting) without question it’s number 5. It is improving, however it’s still endemic.

Self sabotaging and not willingly to face up the problem

Fair, but hes still a top player, the complaining certainly doesn't help him@@SamMartinPeakPerformance
@@bengoman3447 he is 💯 a top player for sure. And I hope this season he sorts it out and starts putting up numbers worthy of his ability
