  • Do you ever feel burned out with the hobby? I feel like too much of any good thing can lead us towards that feeling in many things that we do. In this video we will talk about ways that I've felt burned out with the hobby and the ways that I've been able to fix that feeling without taking a break, or leaving the hobby all together. Obviously I can't talk about every way someone can get burned out in the hobby or all the different ways to fix it. Leave a comment if you've felt burned out yourself and let me know how you fixed it! Taking a break is totally an acceptable answer as well, I just thought it would be a little too boring to put in a video haha.

I agree about the abundance and also the amazing performance quality out of the box or easy bolt ons. I started hobby grade rc in 1999 and bluntly most non-race rc’s kinda sucked by modern standards. You HAD to build many of your upgrades or durability options. You had less vehicles and were more involved and that meant less boredom. I‘ve actually started buying “lesser” and often cheaper rc’s so some of the challenge is back. My 1/10 trucks can outdrive my terrain unless I take a very long drive to find tough areas. Minis have helped too. Even my yard can be a challenge with a little work. Good video topic!

I started shortly after you (maybe like 2000-2001) so I know exactly what you mean haha. Durability was certainly questionable and there was a long way to go if you wanted “top” performance. Sometimes it really is all about putting some challenge in the hobby to keep things interesting! Comments like these are exactly what I hope to get on these trail talk videos so thank you for your thoughts and thank you for watching 👍🏻

Nice chat. I have a ton of rigs, less than half are on my channel so far. I just love driving them.... but you gotta shoot the videos too! Sometimes it's a little much. That's when I spend time wrenching and upgrading. Just keep switching it up. Taking a break is also an option.

Yeah switching it up usually hits the spot with me. Wrenching too sometimes just going through and fixing/cleaning everything can be therapeutic lol! Thanks for watching!
