I'm from California, USA and I've been living in Russia since 2011. The worst thing about life in Russia is watching Russian women slowly adopt American attitudes and values which generally lead to more unhappiness and divorce. I came here. to get away from the selfish and entitled attitudes that many people have in the US but unfortunately they're spreading to Russia as well.

The woman expects the man to "pay their bills": the woman's? or the bills for common expenses (household-related, etc.)? And how expensive can life be in Russia? If a foreigner manages to move to Russia on a western salary he should easily be able to support his wife there (many do that in North America/Europe).

Just a note to some of the Russian and other people who find Americans ignorant on the term "Caucasian." In the U.S. the term only has one meaning and it refers to a "white" person. In it's most conotative understanding, it just refers to a person who is white and does not refer to ethnicity. If we saw someone on the street and their ancestory was from Ireland, Scottland, England, Russia, Sweden or other places where there are people with "white" skin, we would refer to that person as a Caucasian. That is where the confusion comes in. I understand now how the term is used in Russia; very different.

I am not understanding the distinction between "Russian" and "Caucasian" that some of the women brought up. I am American and we use the term "Caucasian" for pretty much anyone who is "White", which I consider ethnic Russians to be. One would think that most of the men they knew were Russian.

So in this context they consider Caucasians people who are Russian as citizenships but culturally, religiously, racially different

And the Russians are Slavic people, in particular from the territory of Russia. There is a difference between an ethnic Russian and a Russian citizen. For example, in Russian it is said "я русский / ya russkiy", which means that you are of Russian ethnicity, and "я россиянин/ ya rossiyanin" which means that I am a citizen of Russia, but I am not from the Russian ethnic group. Caucasus to them is Dagestani and Chechen, probably includes Kalmykia, Ingush, a few others, not Slavic and mostly hardcore muslim. Not seen in an overly positive light by vast majority of Russians. I know from at least Dagestani's that they stick to themselves mostly in area's in Russia close to Dagestan. The Russian I was with said they can be criminal and then you will interact but that they also know there are consequences so mostly they do not. If that is the general attitude, well.

Just a note to some of the Russian and other people who find Americans ignorant on the term "Caucasian." In the U.S. the term only has one meaning and it refers to a "white" person. In it's most conotative understanding, it just refers to a person who is white and does not refer to ethnicity. If we saw someone on the street and their ancestory was from Ireland, Scottland, England, Russia, Sweden or other places where there are people with "white" skin, we would refer to that person as a Caucasian. That is where the confusion comes in. I understand now how the term is used in Russia; very different.

I am not understanding the distinction between "Russian" and "Caucasian" that some of the women brought up. I am American and we use the term "Caucasian" for pretty much anyone who is "White", which I consider ethnic Russians to be. A number of the women said, "I don't know any Russian men", which is odd since the title of the video refers to responses from "Russian women". One would think that most of the men they knew were Russian.
Caucasian regions are located in the very south of Russia, near Georgia Armenia and Azerbaijan.
These are areas where races and religions mixed due to historical and political reasons: there are muslims, orthodox, catholic and also slavic and non slavic people.
So in this context they consider Caucasians people who are Russian as citizenships but culturally, religiously, racially different
The simplest explanation I would give you is that Caucasians are people living in the Caucasus who are not of Slavic origin. And the Russians are Slavic people, in particular from the territory of Russia. There is a difference between an ethnic Russian and a Russian citizen. For example, in Russian it is said "я русский / ya russkiy", which means that you are of Russian ethnicity, and "я россиянин/ ya rossiyanin" which means that I am a citizen of Russia, but I am not from the Russian ethnic group. Don’t get it why people think Russians are so beautiful. I’ve traveled to Russia, Ukraine and all Scandinavian countries. No difference in terms of attractiveness in my opinion.
