I am 87 and have finally retired my Plexi . I got my first Plexi new in '71. I now use the Friedman IR-X. I simply dial in my old lite Crunch sound and carry on using my pedals. It is like nothing has changed. This is especially good as I am singer songwriter and did not feel I had to change the very exact use of the chosen pedals for my current roster of 35 original tunes. They are the very best of a lifetime of work of composing and bringing up a high standard of complex accompaniment.
Same to me: I haven't played much other gear since the NUX Mighty Plug came out. I can play everywhere and anytime. What a progress. Use it every day. Thanks for putting that one to a well deserved place.
I use my HX Stomp every day, along with a Nylon string guitar, and a heavily modded Strat. Thanks for all the great videos this year, and wishing you an awesome New Year! 🎉
I did the same thing with Synthesizer V, it completely changed the way I compose and write lyrics and even make music, it's like I came out of a time loop ........ it's really great it's a virtual instrument, at the same time I opened up to digital to the point of converting my guitar recordings to midi and getting into the synthesizer ........ Such a tool so easy to use is incredible, all my compositions are now sung by Solaria (lite). I'm impatiently waiting for a French voice to cover my old compositions ......
Like you, I'm using the Nux Micro Plug Pro all the time now for practice and recording. I used to use the Waza Air headphone setup for practice, and while it's really convenient, I found the the battery life was quite short and I'd frequently lose the connection (and it had no way to output the signal). I also use the Nux Mighy Air mini amp when I want to go completely wireless. Really great products (and I'm not sponsored by them at all!).
You had a really fantastic and entertaining 2024 Leo! The growth and evolution of your channel was pretty impressive. I loved it when you let us hear your singing voice. I think 2025 will be a really great year for your channel. Maybe you could try singing and then using the AI voice as background vocals or harmony? Can't wait to see what you do next. I still used my POD Go the most and second was my Matribox 2. God bless and rock on 😎🎸👍
Thank you and I'm really happy that you have enjoyed the videos!!! Maybe I will do more videos with the voice in 2025....Nonetheless I'm able to sing only in a specific range, and I don't always feel comfortable... :)...we will see... Thank you!!
Interesting as I also discovered SynthV this year and this is also a game changer for me (I would even say THE game changer from at least the last 5 years!)
Leo, I really appreciate TH-camrs such as yourself making videos on gear they *actually* use, so thanks for doing this. I was particularly interested (and somewhat surprised) about your comments regarding the NuX MP-3 Mighty Plug Pro. I bought one of these a couple of years ago, but was disappointed by both the quality and particularly the poor touch response of the sounds (rather artificial and lacking in dynamics). Consequently, I have hardly used it since. Did you not find this at all, and if so, how did you get over it (e.g. creating your own patches and/or loading your own IRs)? Also, did you not consider changing the MP-3 for more recent and capable units such as the (ill-fated) Boss Katana Go or the Fender Mustang Micro?
Hi, thank you so much, I'm really happy that you appreciate the video! Actually I use the Mighty Pro simply as an audio interface and then I load in my MAC the plugin I prefer in order to simulate the amp sound, like the Mercuriall AmpBox or the Nueral DSP Tone King Imperial. For me, in this way, it works great. Thanks
The only issue with the Synthesizer V is to compare to a Singer on youtube talking about the new software to emulate a guitarist or any other musician, since it is easier and convincing. Sooner or later there will be a lot of musicians that never played along with other musicians.
Well, we have virtual instrument since many years...like piano or drums...Synth V is just like a synth or a piano or a drum machine...it's just dedicated to the voice.
I bought the nux mppro about two years ago and I definitely love it... But now I have some feedback issues so I'm thinking about a new portable device to replace the nux... Do you think that the new fender Mustang micro plus could work as good as the nux? Boss katana go is discontinued so it's not an option in this moment... Otherwise I'll go for another nux mppro, I'm very happy with this little tool😊 Thank you for your videos!! 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
You are welcome! I don't have the Mustang micro plus, therefore I can't tell from direct experience. I would say that if you are happy with the NUX...get it again... Thanks!
Hi, well, it depends, sometimes I sell and sometimes not...there are some gear that I keep using again after some time...or things that are valuable and I prefer to keep (like valve amps). Thanks!

Thanks for the clarification, Leo, that really explains everything!
You are welcome!

Gear most used in 2024 Schecter C1 FR-S SLS elite, Boss Katana GO.
Thank you for sharing!
What about the gear you use less? Does it mean that you have to sell it?
Hi, well, it depends, sometimes I sell and sometimes not...there are some gear that I keep using again after some time...or things that are valuable and I prefer to keep (like valve amps).

Please try the SONICAKE Pocket Master
