This Would Cost A Fortune | Allotment Gardening With Tony
Born and bred in London but moved to Canada many years ago. I grow all my own veg here in Ontario's Bruce Peninsula. I only watch British gardening vlogs and I must say Tony, yours are a delight. I tune in every day, keep up the good work!
After misplacing some hand garden tools that did not reappear till the following spring, I learned that spraying the handles neon orange was a good idea. (all right, the weeds were grown up too big and hid the tools, I admit it.) I also took to wearing a half apron with pockets in front, great for parking tools, tomato ties, seed packets and gloves till I need them. ( like a carpenters apron.)
What a lovely basket of tender young vegetables! Thanks again for a relaxing few moments this evening, after my busy day.☺
Fantastic that Reed passed. I love how your kids cook so many interesting things. Where do they find the recipes 🤔
You'll have to add a few cooking vlogs done by the kids, when you're feeling up to it
Hi Tony, good looking carrot! Nice harvest there for tea. Thanks for sharing and take care 🙂
Ahhhh tony your like me ‘where’s me trowel’ 😂😂😂 peace 🧚🏻♀️
Congrats to your son 🎉
Great video with all our usual Tony favourites: losing something then finding it again, cauliflower stroking, gratuitous arse shot, and referring to something as 'shite man'.
Congrats to your son that's amazing news!
Hi Tony you’ve got a lovely crop yes in M S they chop your hands of for fresh veg lv Irene 😘 xx
Congrats to your lad for passing , and wow those cauliflowers are amazon, , so last year i sowed what ithoufht was broccoli ,it turned out to be cauliflower , so this year u owed what i thought to be cauliflowers , turns out its broccoli that i sowed 🤣
Well done to your son, hope the ribs turned out well. You will have to start food vlog. Have a great day. V x
I haven’t bought anything ready grown but only because it’s difficult to get to a garden centre, a bit of help at this time of year goes a long way. ❤️
Great Video Hens and chicks I will not mention what somebody call one that grew last year in our garden :)
Congratulations on your grades lad 🎉well done and onwards and upwards 🎉😊
Thank you so much for giving me a chuckle and reminding me that humans can be decent at times. Thanks again for the entertainment.
Tony are you not growing your potatoes in tubs this year?
Those lovely potatoes will be delicious as will the broccoli sprouts. Oh those caulis, you must give us a lesson on how you grow them so well.
Huge Congrats for passing the exams for your son! Bloody well done!
You allways make me smile and larf after a hard day at work big man keep going Tony ❤
You need to put yellow tape around the handle 😊
Do you cover your cauliflowers? They look amazing 🙂
I was told to roast the carrot greens to dry them and then store them to add to soups etc as flavouring. I’m going to try that soon. And the carrots aren’t a failure. You’ve got some carrots to eat. Success. Don’t best yourself up, Tony. ❤️❤️❤️
Sounds good, thanks for that tip :-)
Tony, pick the caulis before the sun gets on them and they start to go pink, you can freeze them, have you tried roasted cauliflower? Fabulous!
should plant some French marigolds in with your crop keeps whitefly off
Small carrots that I get when thinning out (I leave them just for this) are so sweet, not a failure.
Are you allowed to keep chickens ? Veggie scraps. Turning into eggs!
Well done to the boy ,Tony
Tony…I saw a vid by a channel called Ivans gardening allotment and he had really good success with growing carrots in a 5inch deep and long container in a greenhouse. Worth a watch and chance maybe…?
Hi Tony love the content. I find this idea of a second spring amazing. I've already harvested one lot of caulis and cabbage.,with one lot in the ground & some seedlings in the greenhouse to go out in about a month its gonna be a good year. All the best keep it coming big lad.
You made me giggle in this video . I pulled one of my onions today & although it was small , it still packed a punch . Your cauliflowers have grown well ☺️
Thank You for the smiles, and a nice crop. Sweet peas flowered today for the first time I planted for Steve the old fellow, and they are beautiful, lost for words. 🌹
Last year my Cavalo Nero grew to well over 2 feet in height, tastes lovely but i grew way to many, I also grew the round cabbage, they went extremely well, I just planted some musselbrough leeks out yesterday ( tuesday 11 .7.23 ) Great video once again Tony, thoroughly enjoyed it. Keep them coming
I have a lot of veg all coming at the same time and nothing to replace it with 🤦♀️ still learning but at least I’m popular with the neighbours 😂 going to convert to raised beds over the winter so I don’t want to put anything in that will stop that work but it is only July. Any ideas of what would be good to plant? Thanks for the videos, always learning 👍
Can you update us on the stay fresh longer green bags your Mrs got
Get those dandelions roots out with a trowel Tony or they will be back in a jiffy.
Carrots weren't even nice enough for the root fly to attack 😂😂 I'm sure mine will be the exact same when I pull them ha! Spuds look brilliant though Tony, still loads of life left in the ones in the ground to fatten up
Its not a bad harvest sometimes the smaller veg has more tastexx
Hahaha tony I always losing knife or trowel
Had me howling in the first few seconds 🤣🤣🤣
Great video again, thanks mate
Sempervivum are also known as House Leeks or Hen and Chicks. Much easier to pronounce 😉🤣
Be careful with that knife Tony 🤺
QUESTION TONY , when did you set the IGLOO cauli. And can I set them at this time
Tony & all some advice please my cucumbers taste awful they are very bitter. Why?
Your carrots was grown from seed tape I have tried two sowing this year also the same last year going back to sowing, tape is hopeless
👍
Marigolds hide the carrot failures. Look after yourself.
Hi here I am over here 😂
5:55 Typical E-girl pose :)
Shouldn't have pulled broccoli out it will flower for two years
