I promise this comment is a compliment and I mean no harm BUT, Emma you do make me chuckle! You do so well and have obviously learned so much over your years gardening but at the same time, as a gardener of many years and someone who is a perfectionist, your advice kills me! 😂 I admire your joy in gardening and hope that you inspire new gardeners. I watch you on and off for the chuckles. Keep going gal!
Hey Emma. Love seeing your vids! leeks do take foooorrreeevveerrr but yours are doing great. Its amazing that a leek comes from something so weedy looking!
My tulips are far on too so early. Nice :) I should try purple sprouting broccoli. Hope there is still time. My gardening neighbour is always raving about his green asparagus. Says not to wait with planting one of those. I have a hard time clearing space though. All healthy plants are welcome, you know. I’m no genius gardener yet. Not like you, Emma. But I’ll get there! 😊
I love that there's someone else out there who likes to garden but hates the bugs. I love watching your video's they make me smile every time. Keep doing you and don't let anyone bring you down.
I did a very late sowing of rainbow carrots not expecting much and now they are growing huge and I checked and I have a purple carrot 🥕 I’m soooo excited!
Absolutely amazing! When I first started growing I would grow anything that said rainbow on the packet! Rainbow chard, rainbow beetroot, rainbow carrots… so much fun x
Well done, Emma. I always sow my carrots and parsnips early covered with fleece like that. They just grow when they are ready to. Everything is looking great. Some of the comments here so make me laugh 😃. You do what you like - you are pretty sucessful!
Hello Emma , just a gentle note of advice sent with kindness and 💕, there is an old Scottish saying N’re cast a clout till May is out , so keep a watch on weather for frost and protect your amazing results, it would be heartbreaking if the frost mullered them.
Thanks for that, you are totally right. I’m sowing early but if it all dies, I still have plenty of time to sow again. Worth trying I think! You never know, it might warm up earlier this year 🤷♀️🤞
Hi Emma I am a new grower of veg I’ve not got a allotment just a window sill with my seeds and a garden but I am so excited to see my first ever veg. Thank you for being so lovely and honest I’m looking forward to your next vlog ❤
Hi Emma, I saw a tip for separating seedlings when potting on. If you put the coir or compost in some water they come apart more easily. I haven't tried it myself yet but it worked in the video I watched. Love your vlogs!😊
It's so so lovely to see you so happy, it makes me happy ❤ lf you can sweetie go get some more Fleece it's a LOT cheaper on line.Just incase more freezing weather takes us all by surprise and it always comes in very handy for other stuff. Oh flippin heck l can't wait to see the Tulips 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷they look very healthy.See you on the next video....much love 🌱🌱🌱💞
Fab tour everything is looking fab my tulips came back never expected that. Your potting up bit was great hope they continue to grow I'm going back to chucking it in and see what happens it's more fun 🥰
Great video. Love your enthusiasm. Took my first plot on last June and loving it. The time goes by so quickly, was there 3 hours this morning. Hope weather warms up soon. I’ve heard we are getting cold weather again at Easter. Happy Gardening and I look forward to another video on Friday 😊
Greatness great your hard working works continue Hobbies. Growing plants. Your deep connection with soils ., seeds good 🕙 spending outside good . thanks
I love your vids, truthful, as it is, doing what you want. I sowed Tomato and Chilli seed Jan 21st and dooshed them in a grow tent,,,, flowers on Toms and Chillis now, I underestimated the powers of a tent, I'm getting to the point of overwhelmed, to eager my end haha
Kohlrabi is looking really healthy! The 'bulb' tastes just like calabrese. Quite versatile when it comes to cooking 😊 Bit prone to pests though! Happy digging 🌱
Your pak choi is bolting, but I've heard they still taste really nice when they do. I envy you, mine didn't do anything more than sprout, except for a few that the bugs are eating.
Please please please don’t kill the spiders or spray them Emma. They are a gardeners friend. We need them as much as we need worms. They rid the world of disease spreading fly’s and bluebottles and other bugs which eat our crops. Spiders are amazing. 🕷️ I think to be an amazing gardener one has to accept all creatures. 😊 I’m amazed you can happily pick up snails. 😁
Totally agree but I really have a phobia of them! I try really hard to leave them alone. I’m only spraying the front rows so if they move to the back they should be ok. I’d never kill them though!! X
Hey Emma, I dropped into the pound land shop today. Got some good seeds and a new sprayer. There is a good range that don’t break the bank. Worth a look. Thanks for your vlogs, I subscribe to a lot on TH-cam, but I have yours on notification. Iv not bought the planner due to the effort you put in, you don’t get all the money: but set up a patreon thing and I’ll donate. Lots of love, Ben and Luis in Huntingdon xx
Emma hate to burst your bubble but according to the ten day forecast, more Artic winds are going to blow down past us in Scotland, taking with it chillier temps and a risk of more snow. So if all them lettuce plants germinate and grow to profusion, we can hope to see Emma bouncing about like a rabbit? LOL!
Emma if bad weather is coming set some bricks at the four corners of your bed with the parsnips and carrots. Leave the fleece in place and place a large board or piece of corrugated plastic on top of the bricks and then place bags of pebbles on each corner to weigh it down .if it snows the snow will stay off your seedlings
it is a little early to sow food stuff, unless its in doors and warm but you are doing a great job , We have a allotment and watching carefully, as a allotment Chairman well done

❤

Lettuce pray for no frost this month
😂

It’s just so pretty I think I’ll leave it to bolt! X
haha I've done the same, planted hundreds of lettuce. They've all laughed at me up the allotment, I'm going to thin thm out and give some away
What will happen to the new plants in the coming frost!! Will you cover them?
Spiders eat insects that infest many leafy vegetables. Aphids, white fly, nats.

🎉 well done Emma 🎉 👍👍👍 x
Great video
Where did you get your poly tunnel from?
Can anyone tell me what she uses to keep slugs away x
How are the broken shells working against the slugs so far Emma?
Not too bad. Little bit of damage, but not much. I’ll update in my video next week x
👍👌
Next year I postpone planting seed for maybe 6 weeks.
I hope a bloody snail comes along and eats all your parsnips 😂 your videos make me smile and motivate me so much. Thank you x
I have no doubt it will, especially now I’ve been a show off about it! Karma 😂😂
Hi Emma don’t forget to feed your plants they will grow better

For such a shady plot your doing well.
Wait… spiders can dig? 🧐😂
You need spiders!
Yes you may have planted your parsnips in February but they didn’t germinate until March, so you didn’t germinate parsnips in February but March.
But they were germinating under the soil before them im sure! X
