    Thanks brother for the video, but I have a question. Does hydrochloric acid separate gold from lead and tin?

    • @PoorMiners321
      @PoorMiners321  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      no is not brother, you can precipitate lead or tin during aqua regia process has ongoing by adding small drops of sulfuric acid then capture to filter cotton or to filter paper, this video i don't add sulfuric acid, because i dissolve large amount during AP process but if there is lead or tin dissolve in aqua regia and you precipitate also during gold precipitation with smb, you can dissolve it to hydrochloric acid during cleaning time because tin and lead are soluble to hot hydrochloric acid.. thats why i always boil hydrochloric acid to my gold precipitation during cleaning process.

      How are you, my brother? You are unable to ask many questions, but I found that you are the only honest one in this work. My question is if I made nitric diluted one-fourth or one-fifth and boiled it on the fire as an alternative to hydrochloric, knowing that I have an ingot of more than 400 grams containing gold, tin and copper, so what are the most appropriate methods to separate the gold from them

    sir you have a lot of experience in gold mining i have benefited a lot from you i want to know if aqua Regia can be killed nitric acid with urea or
    sodium hydroxide (NaOH) besides urea

    • @PoorMiners321
      @PoorMiners321  ปีที่แล้ว

      you mean, to neutralized excess nitric acid from aqua regia? sodium hydroxide actually neutralize nitric acid but also hydrochloric acid which is important to create sulfur during precipitation by adding sodium meta bisulfite, if urea unavailble for you then this is what you do, add 50ml of destilled water or ice cubes to your aqua regia, then add also hydrochloric acid maybe 50ml also to dilute excess nitric from your aqua regia solution.

    Hello,
    Can you help me with an advice?
    After adding mbs, the gold did not precipitate. The solution remained yellow. Is this because of low acidity? Should i add more hcl and try again?
    What do you advise me? Thanks.

    • @PoorMiners321
      @PoorMiners321  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      first of all, did you add urea?
      second, do you add water from washing of your filter paper or filter cotton?

    • @PoorMiners321
      @PoorMiners321  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      what ever you doing, you never precipitate the gold, maybe the cause are contamination, your last option, add zinc powder or shave zinc.

    • @AlexAsiTech
      @AlexAsiTech ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PoorMiners321 no urea or water added. Just HCL and bleach. And mbs after.

    • @PoorMiners321
      @PoorMiners321  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      okay try to boil you solution, at least 5 - 10 minutes, din allowed to cool, then add hcl again, sometimes bleach can neutralized hcl. so add hcl again 1/4 of your solution the procees to add smb again..

    • @PoorMiners321

      you mean adding water to AP? copper II is form..

    • @PoorMiners321
      @PoorMiners321  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      or if you add water to your AP acid peroxide, you never use it again because you distroying the power of two acid by dilute water.

    • @knowldedge5012
      @knowldedge5012 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PoorMiners321 thank you, the reason I am not clear about this is that Copper (ll) chloride is what forms after HCL and oxygen contacts copper and this is the solution that we usually call AP used to eat away base metals. Once coper II chloride is formed it starts eating the base metals , I filter an reuse it but when I wash the remaining stuff it forms that blue-green with some white sludge and not sure how to deal with that

    • @PoorMiners321
      @PoorMiners321  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, after filtering the AP wait until finish, then separate it to another beaker then keep it, then separate the washing from the filter so you can use your AP again.

    • @PoorMiners321
      @PoorMiners321  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      as long as you capture all gold, then your ap mix with wash water you never used it again, all you need to do here is to recover the copper, by adding steel bar or tube, then add sodium hydroxide to precipitate all steel and also chemicals then add sodium carbonate to neutralized the solution then disposal is available.

    • @PoorMiners321

      hydrochloric acid always dissolve tin, while you are capturing the gold foils the tin has remain in AP solution as a liquid.

    • @PoorMiners321

      if in case forming tin II or tin chloride, it has soluble in water, but some cases forming into sediment but the good thing is soluble in hot hydrochloric acid.
