    Hi my friend, wanted to let you know that in my similar set up instead of having to pour the gold/h20s2 mixture in the funnel and risk splashing or spilling some of the gold laden liquid, I made a hole in the bottom of my beaker and put a small magnet with a silicone ring on the outside perimeter of each magnet on either side of my container to form a water tight seal. When the time comes to transfer the liquid to the funnel and water bucket all I do is lower another magnet I have attached on a copper rod down to the magnet inside the gold mixture, it attaches itself to the top sealing magnet and I’m able to slide the magnetic seal to the side and let the gold liquid seamlessly transfer into the water bucket with no chance of losing any gold. Thought you may want to try this method yourself :) just a friendly suggestion to a fellow scrapper!

    The drawbacks are you have to constantly stir up the pile to combat the Faraday cage effects, in concentrated sulphuric acid that is trying to get hot.
    I've found it easier to use dilute sulphuric acid and digest the base metals instead. Use a titanium anode and an Anode bag and you can still recover the gold as foils.

    • @michaelstark9939
      @michaelstark9939 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @Vibe77Guy

      An anode bag is just a filter bag surrounding the anode. It captures the material not dissolved in the process.
