I moved to US from Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 2003. Every time nostalgia hits im on TH-cam , binge watching travel/foodie videos of the motherland. Can’t thank you enough for this. You radiate positivity and warmth. Thank you for exposing people to how wonderful the country where I’m from is! It is as beautiful as I remember and people are truly super friendly and humble. I can taste every dish im looking at! Haha and when you describe all the aromas I swear I’m right there and I can just smell it all! Thank you! And to all the avid travelers: I absolutely recommend Tashkent, Uzbekistan !!! 2 thumbs up!
THANK YOU! This video was somewhat emotional for me. Uzbekistan holds a special place in my heart. In the last few years of my father's life, he travelled there as he was invited as a guest speaker of a conference. He loved it so much, he returned the last year of his life. After every trip he came back home with gifts of Uzbekh hats , shawls and earings from the market. He told me stories of the places you visited and raved of the bread, cheese, fresh figs that you ate. Your video gave me a visual glimpse of what my father had experienced in his last and final travels, and made me understand the culture he grew to be fond of! Thanks Mark.. I will definately be watching this serie.

I cooked this last for New Year’s Eve and it came out absolutely incredible, I had to order the Uzbek spice that came with the black raisins. I did not want all of the oil so what I done was cook the meat in peanut oil first then poured it off. The rice I used was official Turkish pilaf rice. Omg!! It came out perfect and today we get to enjoy the leftovers with different smoked meats. I can’t wait LOL and it’s only 8:02am!
I am Mexican American, I visited Uzbekistan July/August 2017. The most beautiful country I have ever seen. I am Muslim and I wear a hijab, so I didn’t attract much attention and blended in. Once people found out I was American, they would go to the house I stayed in and leave so many gifts for me. Last year, I married an Uzbek and I plan on moving to Uzbekistan in the future to raise our children. I recommend this country to anyone who wishes to travel to a safe, hospitable, historic, and clean place. Assalamu Alaykum friends.
YBUR hi i am wanting to go to Uzbekistan in the summer to visit family as I am Uzbek but grew up all my life in the states. Do you recommend any places to check out? I want to explore the city with my cousins but not sure of exactly where to go
lmao I've got relatives from Uzb. who all wanna get out and would LOVE a trip to USA (one resides now in London) while you wanna move to Uzb....Why do you wanna live in a such dirt poor country??
It depends on your financial situation. Many people want to leave Uzbekistan, and even it is the country that has the most green cards offered from the US. It’s been a year. I’ve not given a penny to anyone. Only to our parents, as it is custom in his culture and mine. I’m a strong independent woman, and they know I’m not to be messed with or used. Uzbekistan, may be “dirt poor”, but the people aren’t. Yes, they have bad seeds, as do all countries and peoples, but I see potential in this country. I see a young country that is growing and expanding. Here in the US, i cannot have much effect, and I see the way it is turning to no return. I am American. I love my country, and I always will. My children will automatically be American, regardless of where they will be born. I want them to study here in my country. Why not in Uzbekistan? Because it is not completely developed, I want my children to gain the most knowledge possible and take this knowledge to Uzbekistan. If people keep leaving and leaving, taking their money and knowledge then Uzbekistan will not grow. I know the Uzbek culture. I didn’t buy furniture for my husband. I didn’t buy his suit or clothing for his side. See, because I’m Muslim and they know this. Before I am American, before I am a foreigner, before I am anything, I am a mere servant of God. I know my rights and I have my pride. They should have a pride too. I show my knowledge, and I show that I should not be stepped on. I am not disrespectful, but I am fair. This is good for me, it is good for me to be a foreigner because they will blame any “unusual” behavior to that, and that’s okay. I love my country. I love Uzbekistan also, and like many people who travel abroad and try to help the world, I want to do as well. I’m sorry many people don’t see the potential in this country. I’m sorry many of your relatives want to leave. It is probably due to money because they have to offer the same things I have here in America. Anyways, good luck to you and your family and I hope they can find the wealth they are looking for.
@Muhammad Nawaz 60 2 70 % no dear 85 % will gonna refuse to take money for food cause its pakistan and also we dont take money by visitors or special people who comes frm other countries.

I want to explore the city with my cousins but not sure of exactly where to go
@@newgirl3798 just visit to Tashkent im sure ull enjoy from food and friendly people also city
lmao I've got relatives from Uzb. who all wanna get out and would LOVE a trip to USA (one resides now in London) while you wanna move to Uzb....Why do you wanna live in a such dirt poor country??
yeah they're all nice and 'hospitable' until you get relatives pestering for money cause you live overseas...
Салам из Таджикистана спасибо узбескому народу. Низкий поклон вам
