Also this one actually has the green tint the game is supposed to have instead of blue.

There is a ATB gauge if you look closely so from the look of the trailer. The more you attack the more ATB bar fill up and if ATB max/heat you can't attack so you have to wait for the bar to cooldown while you wait you can switch to other member of party and play maybe? from the trailer I see that you can play as Barret too. So I think it's half turn base half realtime this is really great choice of gameplay by dev though I like it.

It is, only complaint was that the slums were too bright in the final game. The plates are meant to block out all light so I prefer the grungier darker lighting used here.

If you look closely at the battle system, they show both Cloud's and Barret's PoV in the same fight. $20 says you switch between characters to aim and select attacks/combos, while moving and dodging with the one you're currently controlling.
Cloud's design is way better than I expected!! Barret looks BADASS(just don't know what's up with the sunglasses). And I thought Advent Children looked visually flawless...
This trailer means a lot to me. I showed it to my dad before he passed away and he thought it was really cool. I seriously get goosebumps over this trailer but smile cause my dad cared enough about something I did.

Looking back on this trailer, it's no wonder why it took them so long on this game. They redid everything from cutscenes to character designs. The scenes are similar but different camera angles and all that. Cloud's face looks a little different if not the same and his pants are less baggy here than now. Barrett's face is different and he's a bit thinner than he is now. The voices were also different. Can definitely hear it from Barrett lol

While it's not officially announced, looks like the gameplay is ARPG. Real time combat was the right choice; If you want turn-based, the original is always there for you. Just embrace the changes, people. Edit: I'll be fine with either gameplay. I just want this game ASAP.

BigBass I will agree that I'm disappointed with the absence of the original game's turn-based battle system. But, I do think that they're treading carefully with this game's development, seeing as so many people have been wanting this for years! I expect that they'll continue to unveil some interesting innovations as time goes on. At least, I'm hoping so! ^^ In the end, we'll just have to wait and see exactly what the combat system is going to be like. From what we saw here, it is a bit disappointing, but I'm open-minded and willing to give the changes a chance.
Looking back now. The game has changed so much in the graphics department. Many many improvements to lightning and frame rate for sure. Maybe animations too.

The people who actually played the original agree with you! Everything I've seen so far looks amazing to me. Voices all sound good, characters all look good (Avalanche looks amazing) and Barret got himself some sweet shades lol. My only fear is that it will be pushed to PS5.

I did told him that "I hope you'll reprise as Sephiroth in the Final Fantasy VII Remake, just saying" and then he said in response, "...so you let them know that you wanted me to do it. The game was originally being made by CyberConnect2. This was their version, which was scrapped and Squeenix took over the development which is why it took so long to release.

Genesis was just a retarded character that Gackt made to promote is his music, and he admitted this. I hope they don;t include as many Crisis Core elements in the game. Like, Zack's death in the original 7, not CC, was tragic and sudden like Aerith's, which is great. But in CC, Zack just gives Cloud a speech about how he's only good for carrying on his legacy.
I doubt they'll include Tifa and Scarlet slapping each other in the remake. It just doesn't fit at all. Same with the wire climbing up the plate. I bet they'll dramatically change some things in the game.

Looking back on this trailer, it's no wonder why it took them so long on this game. They redid everything from cutscenes to character designs. The scenes are similar but different camera angles and all that. Cloud's face looks a little different if not the same and his pants are less baggy here than now. Barrett's face is different and he's a bit thinner than he is now. The voices were also different. Can definitely hear it from Barrett lol

I will agree that I'm disappointed with the absence of the original game's turn-based battle system. But, I do think that they're treading carefully with this game's development, seeing as so many people have been wanting this for years! I expect that they'll continue to unveil some interesting innovations as time goes on. At least, I'm hoping so! ^^
In the end, we'll just have to wait and see exactly what the combat system is going to be like. From what we saw here, it is a bit disappointing, but I'm open-minded and willing to give the changes a chance.

Looking back now. The game has changed so much in the graphics department. Many many improvements to lightning and frame rate for sure. Maybe animations too.

Just a thought, but what if Knights of the Round has a similar animation like Cloud's final attack against Sephiroth in Advent Children, like 13 knights appear around the enemy and after 12 turns of overkill, they merge into 1 final attack?

Considering it's Nomura working on it, I wouldn't keep my hopes up for it being released for another two years, but also considering it's using Unreal Engine 4 instead of the Luminous Engine, it's going to be better than FF15 in so many areas.

The people who actually played the original agree with you! Everything I've seen so far looks amazing to me. Voices all sound good, characters all look good (Avalanche looks amazing) and Barret got himself some sweet shades lol. My only fear is that it will be pushed to PS5.

I did told him that "I hope you'll reprise as Sephiroth in the Final Fantasy VII Remake, just saying" and then he said in response, "...so you let them know that you wanted me to do it. The game was originally being made by CyberConnect2. This was their version, which was scrapped and Squeenix took over the development which is why it took so long to release.

Genesis was just a retarded character that Gackt made to promote is his music, and he admitted this. I hope they don;t include as many Crisis Core elements in the game. Like, Zack's death in the original 7, not CC, was tragic and sudden like Aerith's, which is great. But in CC, Zack just gives Cloud a speech about how he's only good for carrying on his legacy.
