- It's weird to say this about a set with less than 500 pieces, but this is the flagship LEGO Technic set of 2020's first wave. It is fully remote controlled out of the box which is something we did not see in many years, at least for a non-offroader car. So how does it perform? Check out the details in the video!

Some say, Lego couldn't get his likeness because he mimetizes with the car's seats, his beliefs doesn't let him work on Tuesdays and his cellular structure is made out of Mega Blocks.

Video Idea: Un-motorize it and add some cool features like a working steering wheel so it's a version that would be worth the original price

Tbh the only one thing I love of this model is the new differential. If this model looks more cooler, I will probably buy two of them. But now, I will just wait for Bricklink.

I was hearing a lot about a Lego Top Gear Rally car and I thought they were referring to the SNES videogames not the BBC show.
Kinda tempted to get this and use just the provided parts to build a better B model.

racing brick, can you mod the car with buwizz and L motor
I have one and I really wish it had independent suspensions. $130 USD, I wouldn't say it is worth it. I'm trying to figure out how to do suspensions on it without comprising the looks. Eventually, I'll end up throwing RC stuff to power it (future project).

I think 42109 is a suitable source to obtain Tech hub + 2 motor; I found that if I buy such tech hub and motors, It almost cost the same price as a whole 42019.
Yes, buying them in a set is definitely better at the moment

@@RacingBrick thank you!! I’m getting the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 and I have been looking for motors and it’s cheaper to buy the off road buggy and it’s like getting a free L motor. And your videos have been great for leaning about the power of it all.
I wonder if it was Top Gear's choice to make the new differential, and not Lego's. Like, they wouldn't allow the licensing unless that condition was met.
I'm 100% sure Top Gear had nothing to do with the Lego parts used.

The Technic figures are such a hugely missed opportunity for lego. With the popularity of the mini figures I have always been surprised that they never released a Technic figure line.

Why this set has gearing up 1.1.286 (36 to 28) but less torque? Then liebherr it's to slow?
Because they wanted to have speed instead of torque. The Liebherr is like 10 times heavier, completely different mechanism.

What’s the point of using the knife to cut one side open, but then you still rip apart the other glued sides? Just use the knife on the other two glued sides as well

Does anyone know the cheapest technic car that has suspension, differential, and gearbox? Im looking for one that has all of those components so I can make my own stuff with it but dont know which one would be good

You don't see many sets with a gearbox. You can try to get 42077 or 42096 and buy gearbox pieces separately.

I don't think there's any real-life inspiration. The goal seemed to be to create a car-like body with the least parts possible

@Daniel Krzeminski You can get a full blown hobby grade Tamiya DT-03 RC car, with a remote and rechargeable battery for the same money as the Lego Rally Car.

Poor and ugly "racing" car for a lot of money. It is better to buy motor and control unit separately and build your own construction.
