That’s a nice looking model. This brings back some memories.
Back in 1985, the Concorde visited Billund, home of LEGO, for the first and only time. To mark this event LEGOLand arranged a build off. You had to build a model of the Concorde and bring it to LEGOLand where it would be on display and people could vote for the best build. The prize was the LEGO airport set that had recently come out.
I built the best looking Concorde, using all my best pieces - and I still know it to this day! I had captured every single detail of the bird. It was put on display and me and my dad went home and waited till the announcement of the winner. When the time came, we went back to LEGOLand and tried to find the model. It was nowhere to be seen! The staff couldn’t find it. It was most likely stolen. We never found it. I was devastated. I had lost my best bricks and to make matters worse an unrealistic multicolored model won the competition. I knew I would have won it!
LEGOLand offered me a bag of generic bricks as compensation. Something inside of me still hurts from this experience. I wish LEGO would offer me this model to make things right and close an old wound in a 47 year old man’s heart 😄

1:57 - All planes actually land with a nose-up attitude, but Concorde (and other supersonic delta-wing designs) took it to a whole new level. The reason for the droop snoot is *partially* because of Concorde's extreme nose-up attitude during takeoff and landing, and partly due to its very long nose. If the nose wasn't so long, Concorde wouldn't have needed a droop snoot.

Thank you! I was on the fence about buying this one. Your video helped me go ahead and make that purchase today! Looking forward to putting this together and displaying it.

not being a nerd but putting this out, when landing its normal for planes to lift the nose up before touchdown, this is called "flaring" and it makes a smoother, safer landing. The Concorde has a giant nose and pilots wouldn't be able to see when faring. Also no gear tilt lego???

With a small modification to the mounting hole on the bottom and a custom bracket it’s possible to wall mount, I agree it’s too big to display on a shelf

They should make the Blackbird SR-71 next.

I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the kislux leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.

Might be a good candidate for a hanging mount of some sort? Maybe fishing line and some clear tape to hold it in place? Would fit the theme of being a plane really well too!

Is LEGO going to make an SR-71 Blackbird next?

It’s the most most terrible feeling knowing you can get one of the best Lego sets ever but have absolutely NO room for it 😢

Considering the price of Lego kits these days. Printed parts, rather than perishable stickers, should be the standard.
Glad to see it is here.

Seeing this beast touch down at the airport years back was hella nice wish I could’ve rode on it

I just saw a blog post about the holiday ski lodge, which is the set I'm excited for. It feels good gradually building up my Winter Village and Christmas collection.
But wow. I'm not much of a plane guy, so I would have overlooked this set if not for this review. Now I need it.

I love how the little base gives it the look of a Postage Stamp model plane.

The only problem i have is the printed text is only in English could be better if it was three stickers since the Concorde was French, Russian and English (UK) . For the rest it's an ok set . Would be great to have 3 mini figurines with a pilot, steward and stewardess with their respective uniforms .

I knew this was going to be huge thanks to this video, but it was even bigger than I thought it'd be! Fantastic build, and it gives me a big smile every time I look at it. 10/10, droop snoot.

€200 is a steal if you have a place in mind where to put it, nice job!

I am mad about Lego ! I’m sure this is the most amazing one I have ever seen ! I ve just built my concord and I couldn’t stop looking at it on the shelf. I confess it was absolute difficult to find a place to put it ! It’s awesome ! I strongly recommend you to get one !

Make a new mount that lets the plane bank to the left by like 45 degrees. the wings will no longer overhang and you don't have to hang it vertically.
