When my Mom saw the original mini series, she was so scared that she hung crosses all over her room. Especially the, “Let me in.” scene. She and I are definitely are gonna watch this! Looks good and I’m all for Vampires being scary again!
it sucks that this is a Max only release, but I'm just happy it's getting released at all. due to the leadership changes at Warner Brothers, this could've been another cancelled film like the batgirl film and coyote v acme. Awesome reaction!

I remember when I watched one version of this back in like the early 2000s and the scene with the vampire at the window was absolutely disturbing and scary. It also didn’t help that I was a child. I even had multiple nightmares about a demonic figure at my window. 🤣 I hope this is good!
The previous 2 were two-part miniseries. It really is the only way, tbh, to do this Stephen King classic any justice. King always believed vampires to be malignant; takers, & not the sympathetic tormented soul that's been over-romanticized. I'm glad this movie continues that scary premise. The Gordon Lightfoot song really sells it for me though.
I watched both Salem's Lot productions. I was 12 when the first one aired. That scared the bejesus out of me. The second one with Rob Lowe, interesting, different, but not the quality of the first. As an avid SK fan, I hold great hopes for this one.
I’m gunna be honest. After so many cancellations I never thought they was going to release this. But it looks terrifying. The original David Souls Salems Lot scared the crap out of me.
I think I might’ve been scarred by the original bc I put it out of mind except for the floating out the window scene which honestly is still scary to this day. Hope it’s great!
@@blondetouragereviews the scariest part it was a 2 part mini series. When Mark Ryerson jumped into the hole and he opened the coffin now remember I was only 10 years old I’m 50 now. You see Danny Glicks yellow eyes. And when he bites Mike Ryerson the camera pans a close up of Danny Glicks eyes. I ended up sleeping with my mum and dad. And I would not sleep in my bedroom. Because of the big window.
If you haven’t seen the original, I’m not sure how good it is by today’s standards, however, there are a couple of scenes that are so scary. You can find them on TH-cam.
The Original was a mini-series back in the late 70s. I was a boy back then but to this day that original series still gives me nightmares. David Soul and James Mason were great in the original and this movie looks like it's going to be just as scary. I loved the original but it still bothers me. The little boy at the window scene......UGH!! Thanks for the trailer reaction. Fun
I've never seen the mini series so I'll watch that first as a lot of people say it's really good. This looks okay, doesn't seem amazing, so I wonder if it will hold up against the mini series.
I'm old enough to remember the original movie in 1979, shown on TV. It was three hours long and I prefer that length. Not sure how this cut down movie version will do this time round. Seems in this new version they've played about with the vampire kids at the window scene and I can't say I am impressed. And what was that guy doing sticking to the wall? And the grave scene when the vampire kid comes out the coffin was originally done during the afternoon, daylight, not night time. I'll wait and see what the movie is like when it drops.
I barely remember the original. Just the floating out the window scene. So I don’t have a lot to compare this trailer to. Let’s hope it’s a nice surprise! 🙏🏼
@@blondetouragereviews There’s the 1979 miniseries. Then there’s the 2004 TNT adaptation starring Rob Lowe, which is actually more faithful to King’s book than the ‘79 version. There was also a TERRIBLE sequel (“Return to Salem’s Lot) made in 1987.

This actually looks better than the original Salems Lot and tbh this should’ve been released to theaters first because it really looks that good 🤩 😱 It’s gonna be a missed opportunity for a theatrical release
@@mdmarton357 wait, I think I did reactions to 2 different Wicked trailers. Then someone asked for the 3rd trailer and I did forget that one (didn’t realize there was a 3rd). I’ll try and do it this week. 💚🩷
I guess we are all hoping this isn't one of those trailers that ultimately reveals all of the movie's clutch moments, and leaves nothing of any impact for the feature....
Just watch the original. This looks woke by changing the race of the main boy character. Plus it looks CGI heavy instead of practical effects. Nothing looked scary. This looks INANE, not INSANE.
oh yes, this woke, that woke, jeeez is that all you have to bring to the table.. and race to, Really? I just watched it today, on Max or Hbo max whatever and i quite enjoyed it, a lot actually😃.. And you know why, huh? Because i don’t view everything in woke and race terms or whatever, But i give stuff a chance and decide afterwards, instead of giving in to all the dumb labels that for some reason has to be slapped on everything nowadays. And i say it’s a real good time if one isn’t narrow minded🙂 So give it a try👍 i hope you like it
I'm going to be honest and say that this really doesn't look that great to me. I agree with another viewer about the fact that it looks like a lot of cgi is being used a little too much and this trailer doesn't look terrifying at all. Also, what is up with the race change with some of the characters? Hollywood is going overboard to please a certain group of people and this is getting out of hand and ridiculous with the race swapping. I will still give this movie a chance and check it out but I really don't have high hopes for it being scary or even having a decent story.
That Gordon Lightfoot music was the icing on the cake.
I've had that song in my head since I've watched the trailer
I have never heard this song before the trailer. It’s awesome and on my playlist now!
@@blondetouragereviews same here 😂 a lot of people that have seen the trailer have been commenting on the song

A mini series would have been awesome.👍

It premiers on December 25, 2024.

This is the third incarnation of this story. Stephen King has written 65 books. Do something original and pick one that hasn't been filmed.
