Loved how you started off the vlog talking about being human. I was just having that conversation with someone recently. I most certainly feel like social media breaks are necessary. Love the aesthetics of the living room, too. Be blessed!
at times, i don’t think we give ourselves room to be imperfect, at least i have a history of doing so. i’ve learned to be still in my humanity and not be so hard on myself. i think i’m doing a better job at it now that i’ve realized it 😂 thank you Jamal for watching and supporting
My mental state NEEDS to be completely off social media. Like you said, we been doing this since Myspace! But my one question is,how does no social media work when you are trying to promote or grow your content or business without it?! Thats the one thing keeping me hooked ,especially because im trying to build something & even though i will only interact with my business I'll still find myself doom scrolling more times than i like. I am definitely comparing myself because i fail so much & its tearing me apart currently while watching others. So,do you feel finding our path is so important that we should just drop social media regardless of the "shallow/financial" gains that may come? Or,is there a balance?
thank you soooooo much for watching. listen, we’re in the same boat lol social media has caused me to go down a rabbit hole. but good question. for me, my absence on social media is temporary. because like you, i do use social media to post and advertise my brand. i realized; however, that i’m not where i want to be mentally, spiritually and emotionally, so i’ve decided to take the time away to regroup and rebrand, so that when i do get back on social media, i am know in tuned with myself to possibly not even be affected by the negative outcome of social media. makes sense? i do still believe that social media is good, especially for networking and for promoting a brand. but too much of anything is unhealthy. i’m taking this time to step away, grow and come back better. i hope that answered your question
