    ===================
    My name is Catie Harris, PhD, MBA, and Registered Nurse. I’m the NursePreneur Mentor who has empowered hundreds of nurses to monetize their knowledge and skills in business, while inspiring them to change the way healthcare is perceived and delivered.
    NursePreneurs provides tips and resources for any nurse who wants to start a business in the medical field. We help nurses who want to start as coaches, consultants, concierge nurses, course creators, clinic owners.
    I had a dream of becoming a nurse. At first, I was over the moon to make my real-life fantasy come true. Then, like many nurses, I ended up working about 60-80 hours a week, but only getting paid for 40. Of course, I volunteered for more responsibilities so the place “wouldn’t fall apart.” In my mind, I was indispensable. But after a falling out with my attending, I started to see things differently.
    Fast forward to today, I help nurses start and grow businesses related to IV Hydration, Chronic Care, Concierge nursing, med spa, research consultants, and content writing.

    Very well communicated. Thanks. I feel everyone is excited and promoting these classes but not being real with implications of what this really is…. A medical practice. I don’t want a bunch of overly zealot nurses running out and messing this up for the rest of us who really need this change from the bedside. Please do more legal talks and implications of opening this type of practice so we stay above board and not give them reasons to overly regulate us because we didn’t regulate ourselves.

    Hello, I’m a dental hygienist in upstate NY and wondering if I would be in the grey area of being able to administer iv hydration (with proper certification/training) ? I know I’ll need to get a medical director to own the business and establish a management company with a mso agreement or could I work in a shared space with an MD and they can be the medical director ? Can you offer any IV drip classes? I saw a class offered by the American Association of Phlebotomy Technicians and by the Infusion Therapy Institute in Des Plaines, IL.

    Is there information on the regulations and laws for an RN IV hydration? How do I accomplish IV hydration business with vitamins and injections in NYS.

    I'm in NJ, I had a side hustle of Hydration Therapy for MMA fighters, Boxers, Wrestlers, these sport athlete's are required to cut weight to fight in a weight class, after weighing in to met their weight requirement, I would rehydrate the with IV fluids, usually 0.9% and at times 045% or Lactated Ringers. I was being paid $300 to $500 per person. I was concerned if this was leagle or not?

      JoAnn, that sounds like an awesome business! I'm not sure what part you are referring to being legal?? In NJ you would need to have a medical director regardless if you are NP or RN. Your medical director should be set up as a PC b/c of the Corporate Practice of Medicine. I would refer you to a lawyer to make sure!

    Hello! I was wondering if Medical Directors could work remote. We are established in Florida and we have two providers from Puerto Rico fully licensed with no mal practice history and open communication with us (two RN’s)

      Your medical directors can be remote in most states, but they must have a license in the state where you operate

    Hello, I'm late to the game watching this video but in Ohio, what's the real deal about needing a Medical Director on site? I am seeing RN's running their practice without one "On Site". Why are the rules so hard to find?

    Do these physicians only work with APRN? IV hydration clinics can be run by an RN but would need a physician for orders etc. Do they work with these businesses?
