Hello, does the Dr. (Medical director) perform an actual initial consult for each patient before the nurse can go in and infuse? Im from CA, confused whether a standing order is suffice for the Dr not to do a consult and for nurse to just go in, assess and infuse....especially for first time clients. Thank you

Thanks so much!! I’ve been looking info on regulations in Connecticut for IV Therapy but haven’t found anything. I will soon be an RN and looking to start my own IV Therapy business. Who can I contact to get more info?
That is great! We laid out some regulations on the states on our page NursePreneurs.com/IVHydration/FAQs for the state of CT since NPs have independent practice, you should be able to hire an NP to be your medical director, which is faster and easier b/c if you hire a doc, they need to adhere to Corporate Practice of Medicine, which is red tape and legal expense
