Hello there! I was wondering if you could make a video that shows the settings to get an EmberGen VDB (Explosion in my case) to be colored properly using the Material in this video. I can see my VDB in the scene, but I can't get the fire and smoke to look like it did in EmberGen. I can't find any detailed videos anywhere.
Thank you for being willing to do this, I enjoy your tuts. In this case for me however The fire renders green, and the explosion vdb as well. Is there something here not mentioned, I've tweaked just about every setting i can think of on the material instance.
Hi there! Working through your tutorials!! Much appreciated! Wonder if you can help? Can't find SparseVolumeMaterial in the Engine directory. Have checked on the actual load and have not found 'SparseVolumeMaterial' in my UE_5.4 load! It is in my previous 5.3 load as a Uasset file. But not in my 5.4 load. Have enable the view of Engine subdirectory etc. Cheers!
Thanks one hunnett! I was using the old plugin, but I think this is easier....however, I don't seem to have the same color control over the flames and smoke that I had in the old plugin. Albedo does very little from what I can see. Any suggestions?

Is there any way to make a VDB fire produce light in Unreal to light a scene? At the moment the best I can get is Lumen's lighting, which isn't great and only "projects" light onto objects behind, and disappears when offscreen; doesn't light the area. Love the video, thanks for sharing this find!!
Thanks for this great tutorial. My question is, there is no option of setting temperature in the material instance. In the old video we set up it by a parameter called "TempMultiplier". I wonder how can we solve this problem. Thank you.
Curious about your knowledge regarding UE and game modding. FF7 Remake uses 4.18 and at the moment, the workflow for weapon and costume mods starts out in Blender, setting up the materials and stuff in there, then importing into UE just to distribute the models and materials across their appropriate folders and cooking. I don't know if we can do anything new in UE, like create materials or shaders, that would function properly in-game. I don't know anyone knowledgeable enough about UE to ask besides you, so I thought I'd holler. Thanks.
Yea I only work on the cinematic side so I'm not really sure how to work with mods at all but I didn't realize ff7 remake used such an old version of Unreal that's crazy

VBD’s from this tutorial end up being too dark and not affected by Volumetric Fog. I lowered the density to the point of being of almost invisible and it works. But I really need to have a dense smoke, affected by the light/fog. What should I do?
I'm trying to render a sequence in unreal, with embergen free vdb clouds. But as soon as I move it from the 0.0.0 world origin it seems the volume is shifting inside the voxel grid and renders shifted, tiled and messed up. Anyone has any idea how to prevent this from happening?
I've been trying to troubleshoot playback speed stuff with embergen vdb -> ue and am running into a problem of all of my animated sims playing much faster than they do in embergen (about 2x speed) despite me changing the framerate and/or hz i export them at. For instance, changing the framerate in engine to a speed that would be more appropriate for the animation makes it choppy (like it is missing frames). Any advice?
